Anyone remember Chocolat?
They were a five (now four) member group that had three half-Korean members.
Their fathers were all in the military and they got quite a bit of hate when they debuted. They were the first group of its kind (not having full Korean, Japanese, or Chinese members) and they struggled :/
They haven't officially disbanded but they haven't been active since 2013...
- Choi Minji better known by her stage name Min Soa, was the leader and a vocalist of the group. She was born in Korea on June 10, 1989. She was raised in Korea until the age of 17, when she moved to study abroad in Brisbane, Australia.
- Juliane Alfieri was a vocalist of the group. She was born on December 12, 1993. Though born in Korea, she moved to Texas at the age of 6 and stayed there for 5 years before going back to Korea. She is of Korean descent through her mother's side, and through her father's side, she is of German and Italian descent.
- Tia Jasmine Hwang Cuevas was the main dancer and a vocalist of the group. She was born on March 15, 1997 in California. Tia moved to Japan when she was six months old but relocated to Korea at age 6. Tia is half Korean, through her mother's side and through her father she is of Puerto-Rican and German descent.
- Melanie Aurora Lee was the main vocalist and youngest member of the group. She was born on May 5, 1997 in South Korea. She moved to Hawaii when she was 8 years old, staying there for a year and a half before going back to Korea. Through her mother's side, she is half Korean, and through her father's side, she is of Italian and German descent.
One More Day
I hope that they're all doing well and are successful in their own way :)
I wonder what would have happened to them had they debuted a little bit later when the Kpop industry is a little more open.
