Is It Weird For Guys To Sing Girl Group Songs?

Hello everyone!!

So this question has been gnawing at my mind for awhile. It first came to me when I was coming up with an idea for a fanfiction. And I've been extremely curious to see what you guys have to say about this.

Want to see what other questions I have for kpop fans? Then click the link!!

*Warning*

-This is NOT meant to be a sexist remark. I don't want anybody to think that I'm pulling out a feminist move or being a masculist. I want you guys to be completely open-minded when answering this and I DO NOT want to hear anyone bringing up that one gender is better than the other!!
-If this question offends you in anyway then I recommend just turning the other way and completely ignoring these cards. And if for some reason I am tagging you in them or if at any point these start to get offensive and you don't want to be tagged anymore than please message me and I'll be sure to remove you.
-DO NOT start to pull out hate comments or start to say rude things to someone based on their personal opinion. This is suppose to be a safe place and I intend to keep it that way. If I see any hate comments or any sort of bullying then I will delete that comment, and if too much hate is forming in the comments of these cards then I will end this series.
-If you have a problem with my cards then I recommend PM me and I'll be sure to talk with you about whatever you want to say to me.
Okay, so you all know that male kpop idols, as a form of fan service or cause they want to, will usually dance to girl group songs. Some of the most popular songs are like Ice Cream Cake by Red Velvet, Cheer Up by Twice, Up and Down by EXID, etc. And girl groups will usually do the same thing except with guy group dances.
But that's not my question. My question is: Do guys sing to girl group songs? I know that they will as a joke, but do they ever perform them or sing the entire song? I'm asking for both solos and groups. Like, have you ever seen all of BTS perform Up and Down by EXID, singing the entire song? Or has even Jungkook sang the entire song himself?
Come to think of it, I have heard Jungkook sing English covers that were originally by girls, and V has also done one himself. So that kind of answers my question, but I'm mainly asking if guys have done that with any kpop girl group songs?
I have tried searching these videos up, but I can't find anything like it. And, come to think of it, have girls ever sang to an entire boy group song either? When I first thought of this question I thought that I had seen girl groups singing guy covers but I'm not sure now. I mean, I've only mainly seen female fans singing their own covers of boy and girl groups songs, but only have seen guys singing to guy groups.
In my opinion, girls singing to guy songs is totally normal. If I had to perform a kpop song, singing, I would prefer singing a boy group song over a girl group song. My opinion though. So why is it such a weird thing for guys to sing to girl group songs? Is it just because of our society? That guys are suppose to have this masculine look to them? Then why is totally acceptable for them to dance to girl group dances?

What do you guys think?

Is it weird for guys to sing to girl groups, or do you think that should be a thing?

Would you be laughing the entire time if Got7 were to sing Shake It by Sistar, or would you be singing and dancing right along with them? That's all based on your guys' opinions.

it's funny you bring up this question and made me realized I have not seen any clips of boy groups singing or dancing to an entire girl group song,(or vice versa) I personally find it fun and they show off a goofy side to them (and vice versa with the girls). the guys tend to do the parts of the dance that are either very popular from the group or a sexy part that shows off the body or makes it goofy. I guess I'm one of those people that like to see them having fun, but I also hope that they know we are laughing with them and not judging them.

I'm the same way. I want to see them having fun with the dances. I also hope that they know that we're having a good time watching them do these dances rather then them thinking that we're just making fun of them and judging them.

I don't think I've seen them do a whole song either.. but I don't really look at that. I enjoy it when I see it mostly cause they look cute and embarrassed or they look like they enjoy it. It's fun, if they enjoy it (like jokwon for example, or at least that's how it looks) it's fun to watch.

I have no problem as long as it is something they enjoy. I would only protest those who are forced to do anything that makes them uncomfortable, by their fans and or agency.

I think it is totally fine for the boy groups to sing and dance to girl groups. On the SBS Awards, they had a member from Monsta X, GOT7, and two other boy bands sing and dance to the complete song of Miss A, Good Girl, Bad Girl. I enjoy watching them. It shows how there are multiple talented.

usually the full songs are preformed live but I don't think I've ever heard a boy group member sing an entire girl group song. I personally love it when groups sing each others' songs, girl or boy group doesn't matter, it really brightens up my day.
