This week's card will continue a few things. I will have different words for dark colors, the word of the week, and we will speak about symbolic meanings.

Dark Colors

Here are some cool names for colors.

Word of the week: Sad

We have Yoongi showing us the perfect facial expression for sad. Sad means to feel sorrow or show signs of discomfort or unhappiness. We tend to over use this word as writers. However ya girl has got you! Below I have different words for sad.

Symbolic Meanings

In simple terms symbolism is the use of an object(s) to represent something else like an idea, person, place, feeling, etc. As writers we may tend to use symbolism intentionally or not. I know I use it all the time. For example in the Western culture the color black can have an assortment of meanings. Above I have a few slides that have an array of meanings for the color black.

Bonus

I know I am guilty of always using the word said. I'm trying to break this habit but it's hard! Above I have other words to use instead of the word said.

Happy Writing!

I always run into a debate with using "said", some find it monotonous and others say you shouldn't embellish with the other words and just use "said".... ah writing
