Kai appeared with Nero and Baek. Sehun, Suho, and Xiumin were waiting. They stood in the alley next to Yin's office. No one was going in or out, it looked dead. Even the street was clear.
“What should we do?” Xiumin asked peeking around the corner again, “No one is around.”
“He's waiting for Kai, isn't he?” Nero said, “So Kai, go up and see him. If anything happens, you can teleport out if you need to but otherwise, let him take you to where the other boys are.”
Kai thought about it, “but what if he…”
Nero nodded his head and opened his old bag and pulled out the rod that he showed Suho before, “Hit it hard against anything,” he demonstrated by hitting it against the wall, the ends stretched out, “Hit him here and here,” he touched Kai on the neck and then on the side of his temple, “Can you do it?” He handed the staff to Kai.
It shrunk in Kai's hands, he examined it before giving it a try, “Yes. No problem.”
“Be careful. If he suspects anything he may to try stun you. Watch for anything that looks like this,” Nero pulled out a device that was slim, the size of a flashlight with a single button in the center.
Kai looked it over, “If this is a weapon, why can't I use this?”
Nero shook his head disappointedly as he slipped it back into his bag, “It don't work for anyone but a Grawl hunter. Believe me, I would have used it a long time ago.”
They wished him good luck. Kai rounded the corner and walked up to the front door. The door opened before he could touch the handle. Yin stood in front of him, looking at him surprised.
“Kai! Where have you been? Everyone is worried about you.” Yin said stepping out and locking the door behind him. “Where are the others?”
Kai looked down at his feet, “I don't know. I tried to find them but I think they ran away.”
“Really? That's too bad, we need to get them back.” Yin sighed, “Have you noticed anyone lingering about or following you? Someone you've never seen before? Asking questions about me or about any of you?”
Kai shook his head.
Yin eyed him, “Are you sure?”
“Yes. I did go over to Chen's, I thought I felt someone was there, but I searched the house but there was no one.” Kai shifted his body, he was getting nervous. He looked up at Yin, he couldn't understand his feelings. He had trusted this man to help him. Yin smiled, so he smiled back.
“Lets go then. Kyung, Chen, and Chanyeol are at my house.”
“Have they been at your house all this time?” Kai asked as they walked down the street.
“No. Chen came yesterday saying that he was being chased, he didn't know where else to go. Chanyeol has been there for a couple days, so has Kyung. They said someone approached them, asking questions.”
Yin stopped all of a sudden, turned on his heel and stared back down the street. The street was quiet, no one seemed to be around. It felt too eery, even for him. Kai looked back to see what he was looking at. Yin took a step and then sprinted down past his office building. He looked down both alleys to either side of the street. There was nothing. But he felt it, he felt Nero was near. Kai tightened his fingers around the rod in his pocket. Ready to pull it out. Yin stared at him, the wind kicked up and blew dust from off the street between them. Papers tumbled by.
“Is there something wrong?” Kai asked from where he stood.
Yin stared at him for a long time, then, “We have to go this way.” He turned and started to walk away. Kai searched his surroundings, wondering where they went and if they were watching. He followed Yin.
