Sorry for making this card so late but better late than never. This new update is screwing me up. Please fix it Vingle so I can make cards on my laptop again.. Anyway here is my Top 15 list of 2016 Kdramas!

15. Moonlight Drawn by Clouds

PLOT (Source: MyDramaList)
Hong Ra On (Kim Yoo Jung) disguises herself as a man and counsels men on dating. Due to a love letter she wrote for a client, she meets Crown Prince Hyo Myeong (Park Bo Gum). Ra On is unaware that he is the Crown Prince and Hyo Myeong is unaware that Ra On is a woman. The Crown Prince becomes interested in Ra On. His eunuchs become aware of this and attempt to get Ra On to become one of them.

It was really cute at times but sometimes it also made me cry. It was a good historical gender bender that I recommend to everyone even if you don't like historical dramas because I'm not a fan of them myself but this one was pretty good. I completely fell in love with the Crown Prince's bodyguard/sidekick. He's so hot!!!

14. Something About 1%

PLOT (Source: Wiki)
wiki Lee Jae-in (Ha Seok-jin), a ruthless son from a wealthy family starts seeing an elementary school teacher, Kim Da-hyun (Jeon So-min) whom he has never seen before, on a six-month contract engagement, so that he could inherit the asset as written on his grandfather’s will. 'One Percent of Anything' is a romance drama depicting what happens to the pair during the fake engagement.

An extremely sweet rom-com. So much chemistry and it's so adorable. The kiss scenes were also amazing. Storyline wasn't anything special but a cute drama for those rom-com lovers like me.

13. Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim

PLOT (Source: Wiki)
Story about Boo Yong-joo (Han Suk-kyu) a genius and triple-board certified surgeon, who was once at the top of his field and used to work at Seoul’s top hospital, Geodae. After a traumatic incident, he disappears and changes his name to Kim Sa-bu to work at a small hospital named Doldam, which is located at Gangwon Province. He guides Kang Dong-joo (Yoo Yeon-seok) and Yoon Seo-jeong (Seo Hyun-jin) to become great doctors there, teaches them to fight against power and money for the sake of patients.

This medical drama had not only intense kiss scenes but intense operations as well. This drama was really entertaining and got me anxious multiple times. Great cast!

12. One More Happy Ending

PLOT (Source: Dramawiki)
Four best friends, close since their former idol days, are dealing with relationships now that they have entered their thirties. One divorcee, one single nearly without dating experience, one of the verge of marriage, and another on the verge of divorce. Will they succeed in finding love and happiness?
Han Mi Mo (Jang Na Ra) is a divorced ex-idol and now a successful co-owner of a matchmaking company Brave Wedding, which specializes in joining couples that have been divorced and are looking for a new love. Song Soo Hyuk (Jung Kyung Ho) is a single dad who works for a gossip magazine Masspunch and two of them meet by chance when he's tailing a celebrity. As these childhood friends collide on professional and personal levels, they will find a true match.

This drama showed the struggles of adulthood, relationships and family. It was a really good drama that wasn't talked about much in 2016 but I really loved it. Plus Na Ra and Kyung Ho were so cute together in this. They made my heart flutter. This is a rom-com and I definitely recommend it!

11. Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo

PLOT (Source: Wiki)
During a total solar eclipse, a 25-year-old 21st century woman, Go Ha-jin (Lee Ji-eun), is transported back in time to Goryeo Dynasty. She wakes up in the year 941, in the body of Hae Soo and there, she encounters the many royal princes of the ruling Wang family. She initially falls in love with the gentle and warm 8th Prince Wang Wook (Kang Ha-neul), and later Wang So (Lee Joon-gi), the fearsome 4th Prince who hides his face behind a mask and is given the derogatory label "wolf dog". Meanwhile, rivalry and politics ensue among the princes, in a fight for the throne, as Hae Soo finds herself unwittingly caught between it all.

This drama was so intense and heartwrenching all at the same time. Scarlet Heart turned me and many other viewers into emotional wrecks. It was a great drama but at the same time it killed me. I love the main couple so much and Wang So is bae but this drama needs a 2nd season for me to be satisfied. I cried until the very last scene.

10. Another Miss Oh

PLOT (Source: MyDramaList)
There are two women named Oh Hae Yeong, who were classmates in high school, getting all mixed up in each other’s lives because they share the same name. The problem is that they not only share the name, but they also have the same occupation, which is probably the bigger issue. They both come to work for the same large catering company, but one is a team leader while the other is simply an assistant manager. Then there’s also a man in their lives, who has the ability to see into the future...

This drama is the definition of a well presented rom-com. It was so well done and the chemistry was well seen by the fans. The kisses were AMAZING!!! The plotline was interesting.

9. Beautiful Gong Shim

PLOT (Source: DramaWiki)
Gong Shim (Bang Min Ah) was born as a 2nd daughter to a family that always prioritizes their 1st daughter Gong Mi (Seo Hyo Rim), due to her being a successful and beautiful lawyer. As a result, Gong Shim grows into a prickly and skeptical woman with inferiority complex. One day she meets Dan Tae (Nam Goong Min), a quirky public defender with mysterious past. Dan Tae rents a rooftop apartment which formerly belonged to Gong Shim.

This was such an adorable drama! I ship these two so hard. They had good chemistry and the storyline was entertaining. Not only was it cute but also really funny thanks to Goong Min's character who is so stinking cute.

8. Bring It On Ghost

PLOT (Source: MyDramaList)
A cohabitation comedy about a ghost of a high school girl (Kim So-Hyun) who has been dead for 5 years and an exorcist college boy (Ok TaecYeon)with the ability to see and hear ghosts. What he’s discovered over the years is that he can touch them and fight them off, so when he’s in need of a part-time job and can’t find one that pays well enough, he starts putting ads online as an exorcist for hire. His ad: “Will face off with your ghosts. Chances of winning: virgin ghosts 80%, bachelor ghosts 40%, child ghosts 97%, the rest 50%.” One night he goes out on the job and faces off with a schoolgirl ghost, and during the fight, they accidentally kiss and sparks fly.

The ghosts in this ghost drama are the scariest I've seen in any ghost drama. They were horrifying! But I loved it. Also Taecyeon and So-hyun had great chemistry together. They were so cute. The storyline reminded me of Oh My Ghost. This was a really cute drama overall and I would definitely watch again!

7. Cinderella and Four Knights

PLOT (Source: Wiki)
Eun Ha-won (Park So-dam) is a high school student who dreams to be a teacher, but she needs money for her education. So, One day, she meets the Chairman of the Kang Group who offers her the chance to live in his house if she accomplishes the mission of reuniting his three grandsons, under some conditions, such as she cannot date anyone among them.
At the Sky House, she meets Kang Ji-woon (Jung Il-woo), a soft hearted but lonely and wild-child rebel, Kang Hyun-min (Ahn Jae-hyun), a playboy plutocrat who does whatever he wants, Kang Seo-woo (Lee Jung-shin), a top singer-songwriter who is gentle and kind to Ha-won, and finally Lee Yoon-sung (Choi Min), the Chairman's secretary and their bodyguard.

Definitely one of the cutest dramas I've ever seen! I kept squealing whenever the main couple did anything cute when they were together like their first kiss. It is so adorable!!! >_< Great cast besides the end female lead. I know it's not the actresses fault mainly but her characters fault because she's supposed to be annoying. I just really love the soundtrack, the main couple and the storyline.

6. Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo

PLOT (Source: DramaWiki)
A story of love and dreams between three young potential athletes: weightlifter Kim Book Joo, (Lee Sung Kyung) swimmer Jung Joon Hyung (Nam Joo Hyuk), rhythmic-gymnast Song Shi Ho (Kyung Soo Jin), and the nutritionist Jung Jae Yi (Lee Jae Yoon), Joon Hyung's older brother.

I don't know how I didnt get diabetes because of this drama. I swear it was so sweet, I thought I was gonna die from sugar overload XD It was so cute and made me smile so much but also made me cry whenever the female and male lead cried. They kept giving me their pain. But this was a great drama and Joo Hyuk and Sung Kyung have great chemistry!

5. Jealousy Incarnate

PLOT (Source: Wiki)
Weather caster Pyo Na-ri (Gong Hyo-jin) and news anchor Lee Hwa-shin (Jo Jung-suk) are long-time colleagues at SBC broadcasting station. Na-ri has had a crush on Hwa-shin three years ago but things change when she meets the perfect man Go Jung-won (Go Kyung-pyo), a chaebol heir and close friend of Hwa-shin.
Meanwhile, Sung-sook (Lee Mi-sook) and Ja-young (Park Ji-young), who are rivals in both love and career, gets entangled with Kim Rak (Lee Sung-jae), a restaurant owner and landlord of the building where Nari lives.

I praise Jung Suk for starters. He made it so believBle as if he was actually dealing with Breast Cancer. I felt so bad for his character and fell quickly in love with him. Unlike most who got 2nd lead syndrome, I still fell for the main lead as usual. Plus Jung Suk is hotter than Kyung-pyo in my opinion. When he gave Hyo-jin's character a pep talk, my heart was racing. For a 24 episode drama which I thought would drag, it didn't disappoint me but instead kept me entertained and I loved it! It was a beautiful drama and such amazing chemistry!!! The kisses were great as well.

4. Shopping King Louie

PLOT (Source: Wiki)
A romantic comedy about Louis (Seo In-guk), a rich heir who always spends money to buy everything that has a subtle beauty talking to his soul. One day he loses his memory and meets Bok-Shil (Nam Ji-hyun), a pure and energetic woman from the countryside. She is at first astounded by his spending habits. In the process of teaching him to only buy bare necessities or inexpensive small kindnesses that lighten up one's day, she also learns that bare necessities are not same for everyone as they depend on everyone's own values that shape their life and thus their shopping patterns. Both have innate innocence which bring them to care for each other, leading to undeniable love.

I absolutely love this drama! It was super cute, super funny and fun plot. I love how adorable the main couple was and I have to say this is definitely my favorite role Seo In-guk played. He was so bubbly and lovable. Such a sweet drama and good chemistry between the main couple.

3. W - Two Worlds

PLOT (Source: Wiki)
Cardiothoracic surgeon Oh Yeon-joo's (Han Hyo-joo) father mysteriously went missing while writing the last chapter of his webtoon "W". Yeon-joo goes to his office and is shocked to see a scene of the dying Kang Cheol (Lee Jong-suk), the main character of W, on her father's computer. While reading a note left behind by her father, a hand from the monitor pulled her in and she finds herself on the rooftop of a building next to a bleeding man. She manages to save him and realizes that the person she saved was Kang Cheol. Yeon-joo later discovers that she can only leave the webtoon based on Kang Cheol's change in feelings. When that happens, the words 'to be continued' will appear and she will teleport back to the real world.

I really enjoyed "W". It has such a unique and different story line. The cast is amazing. I love Jong Suk, so I really liked this drama a lot. His character in this was really different from his other characters. Great chemistry. This drama was thrilling, intense and a amazing.

2. Descendants of the Sun

PLOT (Source: MyDramaList)
Yoo Shi Jin (Song Joong Ki); the captain of the Korean army special force, meets Dr. Kang Mo Yeon (Song Hye Kyo) when he and his comrade, Dae Yeong (Jin Goo), injured a thief. Shi Jin and Mo Yeon begin to date, but due to their jobs, their dates don't go well and they break up. Shi Jin then takes an order to lead his soldiers on a peacekeeping mission to the fictional war zone country of Urk. Eight months later, Mo Yeon rebuffs the sexual advances of hospital chairman Suk Won and as retribution is assigned to lead a medical team in Urk. There, Shi Jin and Mo Yeon meet again.

Here we go, let's be real of course DOTS made it to my list. I really loved this drama and the storyline, the cast, the soundtrack and the chemistry. Although the chemistry wasn't the best I've ever seen. I know a lot of people felt a lot of chemistry but I thought they had just "good" chemistry not amazing. What I really loved about DOTS was the acting. The acting was spot on and amazing, the storyline was just great and the soundtrack was outstanding!

1. Goblin

PLOT (Source: Wiki)
Kim Shin (Gong Yoo) is an immortal goblin and protector of souls. He lives with an amnesiac grim reaper (Lee Dong-wook) who is in charge of taking deceased souls. Together, they see the dead off into the afterlife. One day Kim Shin meets a girl, Ji Eun-tak (Kim Go-eun), who has a special ability to see ghosts, and is destined to be his bride and return him to ashes.

OK so before Goblin came out, DOTS would have won for 1st place but Goblin came in and took that spot. Goblin is now my 3rd favorite drama of all time. It ranks that high for me. I love it so much! First off, I absolutely love the storyline. It's really unique and fun. This drama has the best cast I've ever seen. The whole cast have so much chemistry together, like they were meant to act together. The 2 main couples as well as the bromance couple have a lot of chemistry! Strong bromance and romance! This drama tore my heart apart then pieced it back together. It was a masterpiece. The cinematography and the soundtrack are both beautiful. I love almost all of the songs on the soundtrack as opposed to the DOTS soundtrack. I like a few songs from that soundtrack but not even close to all. I fall for dramas with great Osts. I admit it! The acting was so amazing and the plotline had a good pace. This was a funny, sad, beautiful, cute and amazing drama that I believe every drama lover should at least try watching because it's amazing!
XD Sorry for such a long card, it's hard to make a short card when you have to include pictures.. I wonder how many of you actually read this whole card. Anyway there's my top 15 list of 2015 Kdramas!

What are your Top 15 Kdramas of 2016? Let me know in the comments or make a card and tag me, I'd love to know! ^.^~

I liked DOTS better than Goblin (but I also don't really consider Goblin 2016 since it ended in 2017). Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim was the best of the medical dramas, besides DOTS. I would have to put Remember (it finished in 2016) and The Entertainer on the List too. I also liked Cheese in the Trap, though I know a lot didn't.
I consider Goblin a 2016 drama since it started in 2016 just like Hwarang did and everyone says that is a 2016 drama. I haven't watched The Entertainer or Remember yet. I started Cheese in the Trap but stopped because of all the commotion on the ending.
Cheese in the Trap is apparently going to become a movie. I go more towards award season I guess. I think Goblin will be nominated for 2017 awards, as will Missing Nine and Hwarang. Korean award season runs in a different time frame than American...I noticed a few drama have won awards in 2 diff years because they were the Nov/Dec to Jan/Feb dramas.
I loved this drama. It was Really good and worth watching over and over ❤

If BTS Were in Boys Over Flowers
Now, I think there are a lot of things wrong with the plot of BoF (mainly the boys treat Jan-di like crap) but its still funto imagine it as a less problematic drama. Here's who I'd cast! Gu Jun Pyo - Suga The leader of the F4 and heir to the Shinhwa Group, one of the biggest companies in South Korea. He is hot-tempered and believes that there is nothing that money can't buy. Though he's unable to express his feelings, deep down, he has a heart of gold. He torments Jan-di after she stands up to his bullying ways, but ends up falling in love with her and will do anything to protect her. Yoon Ji Hoo - V A member of the F4 and the grandson of a former president of Korea. He has a driving phobia after being involved in a car accident that killed his parents and left him the only survivor. He is initially in love with his childhood friend Seo-hyun, who helped him overcome his social anxiety. Calm and gentle, his musical talent catches Jan-di's attention and she begins to develop feelings for him. So Yi Jung - Jungkook A member of the F4 and a skilled potter. His family owns the country's biggest art museum. After losing his first love to his brother, he becomes a Casanova. He eventually changes his playboy ways when he realizes that he likes Ga-eul. Song Woo Bin A member of the F4, his family runs the country's largest construction company, which Woo-bin later admits has strong connections to organized crime. However, he has excellent business sense and is very charismatic. He's a super nice guy that happens to be a gangster lol and of course RM, Jin, and Jimin are the dad, mom, and little brother :) How would you cast BOF?

Korean TV, This Is Just Getting Ridiculous
So by now we all know about Produce 101. In case you don't, though, here's a short breakdown: There have been two seasons on MBC (one for girls, one for boys) that takes 101 trainees and puts them through tests and voting until only a certain number remain and they create a new idol group (for a short period of time, then they go back to their original companies. The channel KBS is preparing to take it to the next level. The company is preparing a show currently called "The Final 99 Match" that will take performers that have had the chance to debut, but never found success. There are plenty of idol groups (unfortuately called "nugus") that have never really succeeded. Ideally, this show is where they get a chance to join a new group and get a shot at fame. That's sort of normal and understandable, but this is where it gets absolutely ridiculous. There reportedly will be 250 BOYS AND 250 GIRLS competing. 9 of each gender will survive and be placed into groups (number of groups have not been decided) I understand that idol TV shows are getting popular, much like how American Idol in the States led to The X Factor, The Voice, America's Got Talent, etc etc etc. But 500 people?! When they've already survived the harsh kpop audition and training system to debut? That must be so heartbreaking for all of them. I'd feel less bad if they were complete rookies with zero training but dang, to already debut...its like NU'EST being in Produce 101 right now. So sad for the fans :/ I wish everyone luck and hope it changes some lives for the better but I have a feeling this competition is going to be a heart ache. What do you guys think? source
Flower of Evil - K-Drama Recommendation
Main Cast: Lee Joon Gi, Moon Chae Won, Jang Hee Jin, Seo Hyun Woo Episodes: 16 (1 Hour Episodes) - Currently Airing (On Viki) Rating: 15+ Genre: Thriller, Romance, Crime, Drama, Melodrama Other Genre Tags: Mystery, Serial Killer, Hidden Identity, Psychological, Suspense Synopsis: Baek Hee Sung seems like the ideal husband. A hard-working craftsman, his metal-working studio has met with its fair share of success. Able to provide a good life for his wife and daughter, he’s a good example of what a husband should be. But this perfect façade hides some very dark secrets that even his wife, Cha Ji Won remains unaware of. Unfortunately, secrets have a way of coming out and as a hard-hitting homicide detective, it’s Cha Ji Won’s job to uncover as many as she can, in her never-ending quest for the truth. While investigating a particularly cruel case, she finds herself on a dark path that could crumble the very foundations of her happy life. But she is determined to bring this psychopath to justice. Delving deeper into the case, she realizes that he may have been closer than she thought. (Source: Viki) My Thoughts: VERY intriguing so far! There are only 2 episodes out so far and it's very suspenseful and thrilling. This isn't really a spoiler but Baek Heesung/Do Hyunsoo (Lee Joongi) is suspected to be a serial killer but has changed his identity and has married Cha Jiwon (Moon Chaewon) who happens to be a cop. The two of them have a kid together, however, there's a kicker being that Heesung/Hyunsoo lacks emotions. Something he seems to have gotten from his father who is also said to be a serial killer. Note, this is not really a spoiler since all this is revealed within the confines of the first 2 episodes. I find this plot-line to be very new, at least to the Korean drama scene. The only Korean drama I can even pit against this one in being similar is Kill It and that is because the male in that drama is also a murderer, but their backgrounds are entirely different. You could say that Psychopath Diary is slightly similar, however, that drama is a comedy and is based off the idea of a misunderstanding. Even though we haven't been fully exposed to the idea that Heesung/Hyunsoo is infact a murderer we still see him doing stuff that someone who is innocent wouldn't do. I find this interesting. Another thing I like is that we get to see a character who has trouble showing emotions. This isn't something new to the K-Drama scene for we have seen similar variations in dramas such as It's Okay To Not Be Okay, Dr. Frost, Stranger (Forest of Secrets), and The Smile Has Left Your Eyes. It is nice to see characters that aren't perfect if that makes any sense! I am definitely curious to see where this drama leads and to find out if Heesung/Hyunsoo is actually a murderer or if he's being falsely accused and us the audience are being tricked! - See my last K-drama recommendations below: Train It's Okay to Not Be Okay Extracurricular Memorist & Arthdal Chronicles Rugal & 365: Repeat the Year The World of the Married & Find Me in Your Memory The King: Eternal Monarch & My Holo Love - What I'm Currently Watching: Flower of Evil 2/16 - Korean It's Okay to Not Be Okay 12/16 - Korean Psychopath Diary 5/16 - Korean Train 4/12 - Korean Trap 4/12 - Korean Web-drama U-Prince: The Badly Politics 3/4 - Thai - Friend Me On MyDramaList Here: Halsyeon - Asian Drama/Movie Taglist: @KendraReeve @travelloveskin @MelissaGarza @KpopIsPleasing @LostMage @2ilVer @LinnyOk @rocklvr @VeronicaArtino @Just2BLoved @Kyla05 If you'd like to be tagged in any of my Asian drama/actor stuff please let me know!
