Are jackpot candles worth it?
For the last few years, jackpot candles have been one of the most popular party trends. But are they actually worth it? If you're having a dinner party, will you really be able to use up all of those extra candles? And how much do jackpot candles cost anyway? Check out this blog post for answers to all your burning questions. 1. Why jackpot candles are worth it Jackpot candles are worth it because they’re affordable, last a long time, and can be used to make a whole room smell good. If you’re someone who can’t afford designer candles, scented candles are a good option. They’re a great way to fill up a room with a specific scent. They also make a great gift — if you can find a scented candle in the right size that matches the color of your existing decorations. How Do You Use Jackpot Lights? They can be used to create an intimate atmosphere. If you’re hosting a dinner party, sprinkling a few scented candles on your dinner table is a far better way to create an “nerdy but fun” atmosphere, rooted in the basic human need to connect and be social. So is it worth sacrificing your current candle collection for better bang for your buck? Let’s take a look at what people are saying: “I purchased 40-60 scent- and scent- candles to add to the house’s scent. I love them! The smell is subtle, yet noticeable. They smell like a spring evening with cinnamon and fruity-flavored fruits.” — Mollie R. “It takes a moment to get used to it, but once you do, your home/office smell is amazing. Sherri made the best batch I have yet!” — Carol S. “I use raised pool lights. I am writing my master’s thesis now and it smells great as I am writing.” — Tim G. “They start out the room smelling of candles but after awhile they can also smell like organic fruits and flowers.” — Brian P. “My candles from 8/$10. The only issue I had was jar they fell out and they weren't replaceable.” — Karen W. “The candles I’ve used so far, seemed high priced but their results have been excellent.” — Tim S. That said, like any party trend, there are tradeoffs if you want a great scented candle that lasts a long time. 2. How much do jackpot candles cost? Most jackpot candles cost $30-$50, depending on the size. Just make sure to read the fine print. Some candles have a $30 shipping fee if you don’t live in the US, or you’ll be charged an international shipping fee, which can add a few dollars to the total cost. The biggest benefit of using jackpot candles is that they can last up to six months, as long as they’re stored in a cool, dark place. If you purchase a small batch of candles for a dinner party, you may be able to use up all of them before the remainder run out. The biggest danger of using candles with high lume is the danger of spillage. Jackpot candles work by filling your home with a yellow light. The more of these you use, the more likely you are to drift off to sleep. Since manufacturers recommend using them only within a nine-foot cone, you should avoid placing more than two candles in one room. The problem with reading this article now is that most jackpot candles are discontinued after a limited time. It’s the same with a lot of other holiday party products. If you’re looking to maximize the value of your firework or traditional decoration purchases, do your research ahead of time. While most of these are relatively inexpensive, it’s always a good idea to avoid purchasing anything that has expiration dates. If buying a few candles is something that interests you this year, jackpot candles might be your best option. But make sure to take advantage of the great deals they’re currently offering if you want to save the best for last. Now go make the best out of your gift giving this year. 3. How many candles do you get in a jackpot candle? If you’re just starting out with jackpot candles, you might be wondering how many candles you get in a jackpot candle. You might also wonder how many candles you get in a jackpot candle that’s a certain size. I think we all understand what a miniature jackpot candle looks like. These are awful, and they cost a pretty penny to make, even if they look pretty. You probably have several little mini-sized candles tucked away. How many candles do you get in this ‘small’ candle? A “small” candle is really just that — it has less wax burned into it than other sizes. So, if there are 6 mini-sized or smaller candles, you could get 60 candles in this one. Or, if you had 9 mini-sized or smaller candles, you would get 103 candles. But of course, the larger the candle, the more wax (we’ll explain this later), so the bigger the candle, the more candles you get in total. A “medium” candle is just that: it has a little bit more wax in it than other sizes. Here, for example, are two “medium” candles — you get 85 in total, but only 60 of those are “medium” size. So, why are they called “medium” instead of “small”? Because they pack a lot more wax in there than some of the smaller candles. Let’s say you have 3 “medium” candles. You’ll have 153 total candles in your “small” candle. Medium-sized candles usually have around 12–15 to 18 candles in them, but well, “medium” isn’t always the size that comes with the most wax burned into it and therefore the most candles. If you have a 4th “medium” candle, you’ll get 183 total. Now we’re back to “small” vs “medium” — then the 4th candle would probably be “small” again because it would only have 4–6 candles in it. 4. How much wax is in a jackpot candle? Jackpot Candles are made from soy wax, which is a renewable resource. Soy wax is a healthier alternative to paraffin and beeswax candles because it’s free of toxins and is made from a renewable resource. The soy beans used to make soy wax are grown in the USA and are non-GMO and pesticide-free. For the last several years, the wax production process has remained pretty much the same. The candle factory produces the wax by adding small amounts of colored pigments to soy oil mixed with sand and beads. The resulting candle is then infused with essential oils, molecules that act as herbal medicine. Before you purchase a batch of candles, the factory will prepare some samples to give away to select customers (green, yellow, pink, blue, red, etc.). The point of this is to test out the colors for each batch of candles to make sure they all look the same. Once the test runs are over, the samples go to the general public. 5. Can you really use up all of those extra candles? The great thing about candles is that you can make them last longer if you know how to burn them properly. Here are a few tips: 1) Never leave your candle burning unattended. 2) Always trim your wicks. 3) Use glass containers to protect your wick from wick-eating insects. 4) Don’t be afraid to use clear containers, or you might lose all of those slimy green strands instead. 5) When you use a clear container, make sure you keep it away from other items like cutlery, plates, glasses, and silverware. 6) Lit candles To ensure your candle burns evenly without getting too hot, place it in a bowl filled with equal volumes of water and non-sparkling salt. The less water in the bowl, the less chance your candle has of getting too hot. If you use clear or plastic containers, fill them with the needed amount of water. (Glass containers work well for this.) Place the bowl over the candle, close the lid tightly and let the candle sit for a few minutes, until the salt settles. From time to time, flip the bowl upside down and pour more water in to make the water boil. Once the fluid starts to boil, gently lower the bowl over the candle and open it once the water has boiled away. It’s best if the surface of the water is perfectly even with no bubbles. Wait a few minutes for the water to cool before opening the cover. Then, place the container with the candle into the refrigerator to cool to room temperature. (A little dropping on the surface of the water isn’t a bad thing.) 6. How to make a ring jewelry candle | Jewelry In Candles Rings
If you're looking for a way to make your home smell great, give jewelry candles a shot. These candles are made with real jewelry and actually burn down like regular candles. While they cost more than the regular run-of-the-mill scented candles you can buy at the store, they sure have an impressive visual effect that makes them worth it. This post takes us through all the steps involved in making your own jewelry candle and gives tips on how to get really creative with it. 1. What you'll need to make a jewelry candle To make a jewelry candle you'll need: candle wicks, votive holders, jewelry findings, jewelry, and essential oils (optional). To make a jewelry candle, you’ll need ingredients you can find at a jewelry store. The general ingredients are: Cotton (linen preferred, but hemp works as well) Eggs (colored varieties are greatest), Pellets or brick, Chaff Distilled white vinegar Freshly ground black pepper Oil These are the basic tools you’ll need to prepare the candles. It is recommended to invest in a candle maker for the process, as they make it a lot easier when applying the wax and other products to the candle. You can buy candles directly from jewelry stores or directly from cosmetic supply companies such as chemhalt — they make candle containers, handles, holders, and the like. Wire cutters, a small piece of cardboard, a tin can, and a knife are useful tools for cutting up candles for candles. To get started, take a wick from your jewelry store. For this jewelry candle, I used an ivory candle wick from Sally Hansen. Craft wax will usually work, but it’s probably a good idea to try wax candles if you choose to do so. Pellets and bricks should cost around $10 each, but if you can find them used, they’re probably not too expensive. You can also find candles pre-sterilized in jewelry stores. Next, you’ll need to find votive holders. I suggest purchasing gray votive holders because they’re easier to see your candle in the light. Next, you’ll need to find jewelry. You can buy jewelry at the jewelry from unrivaled candles, but it’s going to have to be colored. If you have a lot of pink jewelry, you can really use the candles to lighten up the room and make it feel more festive. 2. How to make a ring-shaped jewelry candle Ring-shaped candles are a neat way to make a candle that looks like jewelry. If you want to make one, you’ll need a candle mold, which you can get from unrivaled candles. It will give you the opportunity to make variations of the same ring shape that will fit nicely inside your candle mold. The jewelry candles we made had practical uses. One I made was a sort of travel mug that took up very little room. Another was meant to give off a warm ambiance in my office for cooking. First, you’ll need to empty your jewelry drawer. Then you’ll need clean, dry, and free of oils (unflavored) jewelry screws. And finally, you’ll need something that looks nice (preferably cotton). When used correctly, the jewelry screws will hold ceramic rods in jewelry molds and make the candle bigger and therefore better smelling. One way to clean your screw heads is with a cotton bud soaked in pink Master Cleaner (it comes in a can). You can also use a toothbrush dipped in it, but wire brush will also cause the jewelry to become powdery and you won’t be able to see the patterns that you’re creating or stain your fingers. Next, you’ll need to make your ring. As stated above, you want your beads to be wearable, not precious. These links will give you ideas for what kind of beads to use. You should be able to fit around 30–40 beads in your candle. Aside from choosing a distance between beads and ring, you may want to experiment with sewing or gluing the beads together. If you’re squirreling away in your jewelry drawer as little as I do, you’re probably bored of clicking pictures of plexiglass boxes and rings that look almost identical. To make your beads go in more easily, you can also use a special ring punch to punch them out. You’ll also need something to fill your candle with. 3. How to make a necklace-shaped jewelry candle If you're looking for a project to do with your daughter, or just for yourself, making a necklace-shaped candle is a fun project that can also be made in a variety of colors and styles. You can find all the materials you'll need at a craft store, and the project itself is pretty simple. You can use metal or plastic beads ornaments, ordinary household items, or jewelry. Beads can be purchased already made or otherwise perfected, and things can be salvaged that you may have discarded, like old locket pins, metal fish scales, ornaments from party stores, or even jewelry cut down to the right size or in the appropriate vintage settings.  The instructions for making your necklace candle are fairly flexible, and you can find extensive step-by-step instructions on the unrivaled candles website. The general steps are to cut the beads to size or to buy smaller versions of the beads you want.  You can make the candle factory scent or any of the pleasant scents like bay leaf or sandalwood. I opted for trying out a variety of real pieces of jewelry to scent. If you intend to just use a basic plastic beads jewelry box, you can find the instructions for making a jewelry box here. To start, lily of the valley scented candles are the way to go. Previously, I used beeswax candles with mixed results, so I was pleasantly surprised when I used a box of crystal jewelry beads. They are nice because they magnify the scent from your finger, creating an entire floral scent that goes well with the candles. You could also use real ball-peen hammers, moon balls, or stars as the candle-holder. 4. Making candles from other pieces of jewelry Ten years ago, I wanted to make a candle out of a ring from my jewelry collection. I thought it would be a fun project and a great way to re-purpose my old jewelry. I tried it and it worked. The result was a beautiful, personalized candle. I decided to make the same candle for my home to make it work better. I wanted it to last longer, look nicer, and smell like real jewelry. I didn’t want it to smell like replacement jewelry. I also didn’t want it to burn down like regular candles do, so I skipped the aluminum ring and went with sterling silver instead. To get started, I cut rings exactly the size and shape I wanted my candle to have! Then I decided on the design I wanted and the design I bought. I used hot glue to secure it to the metal ring. Before using the hot glue, I applied two coats of the wax of my choice. This includes Irish Moss, Kentucky Bourbon Barrel, and Loire Valley Rose. The wax flavor depends on the project or what you’re using it for. Now the fun part. If you have some jewelry already that you don’t need anymore, you can keep it or sell it. After all, you’re not trying to start a business here! I bought rings that repaired a hole I had in my finger. I also bought new earrings just because I thought they would fit better and look nicer in the candle. I sold my earrings after I made my jewelry candle. I used these rings as templates when cutting the rings for the wax candle. I taped them to the metal ring to keep track of where I was cutting. To attach the wax to the rings, I tried to be as accurate as I could. After applying the wax, I screwed in the metal bases to the rings and pressed the small screws into the top of the rings to secure. 5. Tips for making the best jewelry candles Making candles can be a fun and creative craft project. It’s also a great way to repurpose old jewelry you don’t wear anymore. Just melt down old necklaces and earrings, and then pour the molten metal into a mold to create a decorative candle you can burn and enjoy. The first thing you’ll need for making jewelry candle is jewelry. You can find jewelry melts easily online. you can search for a jewelry candle to see what is currently trending. There are tons of options, from traditional pieces like bandanas and medal charms to more modern pieces like earrings and bracelets. Once you have your metal, it’s time to find a gift idea for your loved one. There are so many ways you can show love for someone, from repairing an old broken engagement ring to simply buying them a beautifully-crafted jewelry candle that smells like their heart. What’s a way to give someone priceless as a surprise? While jewelry is an appropriate gift for many occasions, on Valentine’s Day, it’s especially sweet. You can use your existing jewelry collection to give the person a gift that will truly remind them of the special day. It will also make the person feel special. From necklaces to earrings, you can make dozens of look-alike gift items using jewelry melting wax. Fiddle with the sizing of the melted wax to get the perfect look and safety. Keep the gift wrapped in the original packaging and an unopened jewelry candle inside the gift box. Glue it to a small, square scrap of cardboard or envelope, and you’ve got a card they can use to proudly display their lovely gift to someone special. Some people make their jewelry candle permanent for extra love and care. It pretty much ensures the person who receives it is reminded of the special occasion from the moment they receive it.

The Person You Really Need to Marry
Tracy McMillan has written for a ton of the top TV shows and is most interested in human relationships. In her TED Talk (viewed more than 3 million times) she touches on how we find the person we REALLY need to marry. She starts off by telling us about how she thought of love when she was a child, citing the popular nursery rhyme. *k-i-s-s-i-n-g* But her life totally didn't end up like that. She's been married and divorced three times, and she says its because she consistently married the wrong guy for her. She says her husbands were awesome guys, but they just weren't the people she should be marrying. She brings up her philosophy of "marrying yourself." Here's what she means. In marrying yourself, you need to commit fully to yourself, Focus on you, and understanding you. Once you realize that you're whole and can stand all by yourself you'll see that you don't need any man or woman to complete you. She believes that so many marriages fail because the partners believe that they are lacking, and they're looking for someone to fill that gap. She goes deep into her love life (which is wild!) to show how she had to overcome all of the mistakes she made to get to where she is now. One thing she found from this practice that hit me pretty hard was that once loving herself, and she went on a few dates... She found that instead of wondering if the man liked HER, she was focusing on how SHE felt in his presence. She's listening to herself and her needs, not trying to prove anything to anybody. "I'm more interested in how I feel about me, than how he feels about me." What do you think about this philosophy? Would it work for you?
So True Marriage Quote
Can this quote not be more true? It's so simple, yet when followed for its wisdom, there's no telling how big, bright and beautiful your relationship could be. This one pertains to marriage, but start and stop there? I think this is true of all relationships, regardless of marriage status. Some couples choose not to marry at all. And, for years, gay couples didn't even have a chance at marriage. All I'm saying is, spend your time developing your relationship. No matter how far along, how deep, etc., take time to build it. Just because you're married one day, doesn't mean you know all there is to know about your spouse. Bring back the dating days of frenzied love and lust. And don't do it because it's Valentine's Day (coming up). Do it year-round and because you genuinely love this person! Okay, that's all. I'm done soapboxing! hahaha @Inaritricx @Taijiotter @wonyeop316 @AimeeH @XergaB20 @JustinaNguyen @Danse @RainaC3 @bnrenchilada @destiny1419 @arnelli @Luci546 @InPlainSight @Ash2424701 @GingerMJones @zwdodds @LenaBlackRose @misssukyi @TerraToyaSi @kneelb4zod @BrookeStam @RachelParker @JaxomB @ultraninja10 @reyestiny93 @MattK95 @MajahnNelson @petname83 @BluBear07 @melifluosmelodi @ZoilaObregon @GossamoKewen95 @TracyLynnn @TiffanyWallace @VixenViVi @DenieceSuit @ButterflyBlu @CelinaGonzalez @MaighdlinS @maddiemoozer @VeronicaArtino @iixel @TomHawthorne @DominiqueThomas @ElizabethT @RiggaFoster@AluSparklez @kvnguyen @chris98vamg @WiviDemol @animechild51 @2Distracted @cthulu @jazziejazz @JessicaChaney @shantalcamara @tessstevens @paulisadroid @alywoah @jordanhamilton @nicolejb @LAVONYORK @raquelArredondo
7 Scientific Reasons Why Sleeping Naked Is Really Good For You
For as long as I can remember, I’ve forgone traditional pajamas for the pajamas the Good Lord gave me — my skin. Much to the horror of my roommates, I sleep completely naked. I’ve never found this weird or out of the ordinary. It’s comfortable, easy and I spend less money on stupid clothing only my teddy bear and I see. Why would I put on pajamas when I can bask in the glory of nakedness, having only my sheets as the barrier between me and my beloved bed? Apparently, I am an outlier. According to a 2012 study, only eight percent of Americans sleep nude. It appears the majority of US citizens don’t fly by my “Naked And Free” mantra and prefer to keep their bodies encased in a sausage sleeve of flannel whilst they venture into dream land. Bah! Bah, I say! For your information, America, sleeping naked is actually really f*cking good for you. It improves your happiness, your quality of sleep and will even get you laid more often. What I’ve known for so long, science has finally confirmed. Here are seven perfectly logical, totally scientific reasons why you should sleep in your skivvies: You’ll get way better sleep. According to The American Academy of Sleep Medicine, your body temperature naturally declines as a part of your Circadian Rhythm as you sleep deeply. Wearing pajamas could disrupt this natural drop in temperature and, as a result, disrupt your body’s sleep cycle. Disruption in the natural decline of body temperature is also directly linked to insomnia. If you can’t cool down, you’re going to sleep like sh*t. By skipping the drawstring PJs, you’re really just helping your overall sleep improve. That’s just science. You can air out your lady parts. Jennifer Landa, MD, author of The Sex Drive Solution for Women says sleeping naked is healthy for your downstairs lady bits. Because your vagina has a climate similar to a tropical rainforest, it can be a breeding ground for bacteria and yeast. By ditching underwear and pajamas, you allow your vagina the much needed aeration it requires to stay dry and healthy. And, as we all know, a healthy vagina is a happy one. You’ll feel sexier. Sleeping naked is plain old sexy. When you’re with your new boyfriend, there’s nothing nicer than waking up in buff, ready and eager for morning sex. Waking up without pajamas in the way automatically puts you in a sexy state of mind. Since you’ll be starting the first few minutes of your day slipping your naked body alongside your partner’s, you can bet your naked butt, you’ll feel a whole lot more confident. It also means you’re comfortable enough with yourself to let it all hang out (figuratively speaking… I think). A more confident you is a more beautiful you — and not just to yourself, but also to others. You’ll reduce your belly size. If you opt for sleeping in the buff, you could reduce the fat around your belly and even lower your cholesterol. According to the Huffington Post, your body cools down at night, increasing your growth hormones while simultaneously decreasing your levels of cortisol, which will result in “healthy sleep patterns.” The perfect night’s sleep would be comprised of two cycles: the first has your body recuperating with lower cortisol levels and the second sees your body working to increase these levels in preparation for the next day so that you might have energy when you wake up. If your sleep is interrupted (e.g. because of your uncomfortable pajamas), your body will naturally produce more cortisol than usual; the excess, in turn, is known to catalyze your appetite. Say goodbye to your diet and hello to that sleeve of cookies! Get ready for a lot more sex. If you sleep naked, you’re going to have more sex. It’s just logical. According to Dr. Landa: Sleeping naked encourages sex and sexier relationships are happier relationships. I couldn’t agree more! I mean, think about it, if you’re naked already, don’t you think your chances of getting in a hump session would drastically improve? And, naturally, with more sex, you and your partner’s intimacy will only increase — especially when the hormone Oxytocin is introduced into the situation. Oxytocin, as the Huffington Post notes, reduces stress levels, lowers your risk of depression and leads to a load of other health benefits that might seem completely unrelated to you and your partner naked spooning. Who knew being naked could “reduce intestinal inflammation”? If you have no clothing barriers, what barricade do you even have? You won’t have to take a shower in the morning. If there’s one thing girls hate to do, it’s shower. And if there’s one thing a human person hates, it’s showering first thing in the morning, as it forces you to wake up a full 20 to 30 minutes earlier. But if you don’t wear pajamas, you’ll stay cool throughout the night, drastically increasing the likeliness of a good hair day the following morning. If you get too hot in your sleep, you’re going to sweat… and if you sweat, your hair is going to look greasy. And greasy only looks good on food. It’s just easier. When it comes to #TeamBed, we’re all just trying to get up in those comfy pillows and blankets as quickly as we possibly can. Putting on pajamas inherently means more work: You have to take off your clothes, pick out your jammies, and then put them on. That might seem like a lazy thing to say, but sometimes the closet (or the kitchen, or the bathroom) is just too far away. After #thestruggle of a 9-to-5 workday, I’m not looking to do anything to make me wait for sleep. Nada. http://elitedai.ly/1aJnWl5

High ISO, you can shoot quickly! When taking photos outdoors, sunny weather is ideal for balanced, diffused lighting. A sunny day is more challenging to take pictures than a sunny day, so don’t worry if the weather is sunny. Focus On The Dog’s Photography Eyes Your dog’s eyes should become the focus of your Photography. As humans, we are well connected with eye contact. Please focus on the dog’s eyes and use them to your advantage for dog photos. This, of course, draws the viewer’s attention to the subject. Focus on the eyes first, then reset focus as needed and apply the method again. The moving picture of a dog gets attention. It’s like a picture of a man. You can use your eyes to create depth, an unusual eye colour, or to create a sense of privacy. Use a wider aperture (f / 2.8 or less) to improve this feel! https://www.clippingpathclient.com/car-photography/ Add People To Dog Photography. The best photo of the dog alone or the owner is a classic photo. Use automatic lighting to prevent lightning from disturbing animals. The standard 50mm lens is ideal for this type of image. Shallow DOF (Depth of Field) focuses on the object in the centre of the frame, so keep your eyes focused. Remember to live fast when taking photos like this, as animals can quickly get into trouble if they take photos outdoors. Choose An Excellent Background For Dog Portrait Photography The background of the frame is as important as your content. Get a beautiful background in a different colour from the dog. Tree trunks, wood, gates, benches, bricks, and doors make beautiful backgrounds or frames for photographing dogs.
How to Make the Right Choices in Indian Jewellery
Whatever be the occasion, the right kind of jewellery can accentuate your look at a whole new level. However, the search for that flattering piece of jewellery often seems like an uphill task. This seems even more daunting when one is presented with many options, both online and offline. You’re left spoilt for choice, as it still seems tricky to get a piece that matches your style statement. If you too face such a dilemma, then Indian jewellery is the way to go. With a vivid range of stunning options, we are here to help you make choices that are smart, trendy, and easy on the pocket. So read on to know about which piece to wear and when, as you next go jewellery shopping. The Pretty Choker Chokers are a great antique jewellery option for many occasions. Be it a wedding, a semi-formal gathering or an evening party, no other jewellery makes a statement as a choker does. However, the trick lies in carrying off the look with ease and elan. If you wish to pick a pretty choker that adds to your look, keep these in mind. a. If you have a long and slender neck, then you’re in luck. You can choose any style you like, and this jewellery will complement your look. b. If you have a short neck then its best to avoid large chokers, as these may make your neck look wide. Instead, opt for slender and delicate pieces. c. The fit of the choker is essential too. Avoid pieces that sit too tight or are too loose. Instead, measure your neck and get the choker adjusted to be 7cms more than the circumference of your neck. d. The shape of your face has a role to play too. While round faces may look rounder with a choker, an oval face is well complemented by this piece of jewellery. All-Occasion Indian Earrings The one piece of jewellery that goes with every dress and compliments you on every occasion is a lovely pair of Indian earrings. From the elegant and beautiful studs and loops, to elaborate Jhumkas and Chandbalis, there’s more variety than one can imagine. However, while choosing Indian earrings for a special occasion, do keep the below-mentioned aspects in mind. a. If the occasion is a formal one then opt for understated, classy studs or loops. Opt for contemporary designs that complement your outfit if you’re dressing for a party. Bring in the bling with elaborate pieces if you’re dressing for a wedding. b. If you have a round face, opt for long earrings, giving the illusion of length. Those with an oval face can opt for jewellery that’s wider at the base, such as teardrop-shaped pieces. c. Keep a check on the colour and material of the piece you choose to wear. Avoid bright plastic materials, instead, go for statement jewellery in traditional Indian styles to accentuate your appearance. Indian Necklaces & Bridal Jewellery You may have feasted your eyes on a vivid range of Indian necklaces and bridal jewellery. However choosing the pieces that suit your style and the occasion are of absolute importance. Before opting for a necklace or sets of bridal jewellery, do keep the following aspects in mind. a. From simple statement necklaces that complement the evening parties and dinner occasions to elaborate pieces that are more celebratory, the first aspect to consider is the occasion. b. Keeping your attire in mind while shopping for jewellery can help you create a harmonious look. Ensure that the length and design do not clash with the neckline of your dress. It could spoil the look. Keep in mind that the colours of your outfit complement the colours of the jewellery you choose to wear. c. Keep the length of the necklace such that it complements your best features. Opt for shorter pieces if you wish to flaunt your neck, while longer pieces can accentuate your collar bones. Whatever style of jewellery you choose, ensure that it reflects the kind of person you are. Rather than buying a piece that’s the in thing, please choose based on how it reflects your persona. So whether you are the jewellery minimalist or the kind who likes to go all-out, take your pick on what you like best. Do visit our website www.tarinika.com to check out our collection. How Long is Too Long To Date?
A former coworker of mine just got engaged after living with and dating her now-fiance for SIX YEARS. While I think that's practically a common-law marriage, some people think that dating that long is necessary to make sure you're ready to commit to a life together. But here's the thing: Only you can know when you're ready to take the next step. But as a baseline, Ian Kerner, PhD, LMFT, licensed psychotherapist, couple's therapist and author of She Comes First, suggests that one to two years is often a good amount of time to date before getting engaged. Longer than that and you might just never get married or take your relationship more seriously and after ten or so years your relationship starts to break and you don't feel obligated to fix it. ONE TO TWO YEARS?! That sound like no time at all for me! But wait, its not necessarily about time! "I've worked with a lot of couples who have strong relationships, and they met and fell in love quickly and really got to know each other's friends and family," Kerner says. "They got to experience what it's like to live with each other or spend a lot of time with each other, go through some life cycle issues, like the loss of a family member or the loss of a friendship, or going to a wedding or funeral and really getting to see each other in a lot of different contexts and feel like it's a good match. And generally, that can happen in a year... You want to have some problems emerge and see how you deal with problems together. For me, it's more about the range of experiences that lend themselves to compatibility rather than the amount of time." My parents dated about 3.5 years (I think???) before getting engaged, then waited about 4 years after marriage to have me! But then again, they only saw each other on weekends because my mom lived in New Jersey and my dad lived in California so I guess at the end of the day they were physically together for about a year and a half haha! For me, I've been with my boyfriend for a little over a year but no WAY am I thinking about marriage so I don't think the 1-2 year rule applies to me. Do you think there is a cut-off point for dating, when you should tie the knot?
18-Year-Old Ties The Knot With His 71-Year-Old Soulmate.
Disclaimer: This is a true story, you guys. Almeda Errell didn't expect to fall in love. The 71-year-old just buried her eldest son, Robert, after losing him to diabetes complications. But, of all places, she met her soulmate at Robert's funeral - a 17-year-old Walmart cashier named Gary. "I wasn't looking for a young man, but Gary just came along," Almeda admitted in an interview with the Daily Mail. "I just knew straight away that he was the one." Gary and Almeda hadn't met before. Almeda was a widow with grown children and grandkids, and Gary was just finishing high school - and already in a rocky relationship with another 77-year-old woman. "We were always fighting," said Gary. "I fell into depression and was looking for a way out." The two were introduced at the funeral by Robert's widow, Lisa, who just so happened to be Gary's aunt. Lisa invited Gary to the funeral, and when he went to give Almeda his condolences, it apparently wasn't too long before sparks flew. "When I told Lisa that I liked Almeda, she said that she liked me too," Gary recalled. "And that she should get us together." For the most part, the pair says that family and friends gave the relationship their blessings. However, there was at least a little skepticism. "Some family members thought Gary was far too young for me, and that I must be crazy," said Almeda. "I told him I wasn't crazy, and that we loved each other." Once he turned 18, Gary proposed to her over the phone, and three weeks after becoming a couple, the pair were married in an intimate ceremony. Currently, the newlyweds live in Almeda's five-bedroom house with her 40-year-old daughter, DeAnna, and grandkids Aaron and Indianna, respectively aged 21 and 16.
