Idol Rappers Can Be Rappers
Alright, time to delve into some possibly dangerous waters. This is @MadAndrea recommending that you might want to grab a life vest, just in case.
Keep in mind, this is not saying anyone left out of this list, is or is not a rapper. They just aren't my personal top 3. You may disagree, that's what opinions are all about; but give it a thought as you read.

Writer @MadAndrea, Planner and K-Pop Monster Blogger Jackson Wang of Got7 responded to this question expertly. I utterly commend him for this.
He corrected someone when they said he was a rapper. He instead said that he is simply the person who raps.
So what's the difference? A lot. These are just some things that there's been a general consensus on as far as what makes a rapper.
1. They have the ability to keep time and flow.
2. They can use emotion in their voice, they don't sound like they're just conversing or monotone. It's inflection, and rappers have that.
3. They write their lyrics. This is probably the biggest thing that makes a rapper.
4. They either help create the beat or create it on their own. Not required:
1. Speed rap
Not everyone can rap like Eminem or Busta, but that doesn't make them less of a rapper. Look at Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg, they don't rap fast, but they're respected rappers. Dre is more of a producer, but when he raps it's mellow.
2. Underground or previously underground
Not everyone has that opportunity. Many idol rappers get picked up really young and may not have the chance to try that out. Many people live in the middle of nowhere and need to completely uproot their lives to do that.
3. Has a mixtape
Could very well be in the works or they don't feel the need. Especially if the work they make is already being put on albums.
4. Has an abrasive attitude
No person needs to have a mean mug on their face 24/7. Ice Cube of NWA once wrote a song about how it was a good day and nothing went wrong. Not every rapper needs to be harsh in every song.
5. Can freestyle
Personally, I don't consider this necessary. I find it very cool and definitely respect it, but some people can't rap on the fly. Maybe they put a lot of thought into their lyrics so they just can't spit at a moments notice. Some can do both.
Now onto the list! Luizy/Luizhino
He's better known as Seungyoun of UNIQ, a Chinese/Korean idol group. He was on Show Me the Money. Sadly he didn't get far.
But what did he do? He definitely didn't mope and give up.
No. He took what he learned and released a few songs. Recipe, Baby Ride, and How Have You Been.
The song that greatly displayed his abilities was Recipe(first video on this block) which he made with Flosick.
Many people admire Flosick in the Korean hip-hop genre. He took Seungyoun under his wing and produced a song and made a video with him. They actually became pretty good friends in the process.
In my opinion, it was his way of helping Seungyoun through the doors of hip-hop by showing that he respected him enough to collaborate.
Seungyoun wrote the majority of the lyrics for UNIQ songs and has also worked on the production end of things. He's also had a few personally released songs with M.O.L.A and on his own, one being the song Slave(second video). So he was well prepared for this. Bang Yongguk
The leader of B.A.P with a voice that touches the bottom of the ocean. He's written and made several songs that he's truly put his soul into. He raps great, but I find the power and emotion behind his words to be his most endearing trait. Not to mention the lyrics that basically let everyone into the innermost thoughts and his feelings. That's strength. He uses music as a way to deal with his problems.
The songs I chose to best show this quality he has, are 4:44 and Q.
Idols are people, and they have their own struggles like everyone else. Don't ever forget that. Rap Monster
Another great lyricist is Namjoon of BTS. He's got great inflection and not only can he rap fast, but his slow raps are also to die for. He can do meaningful lyrics like in Life or Awakening, or diss lyrics like in Joke.
Joke showed his real rapper chops. It took me by surprise. The swearing, the dirty lyrics, the gritty video, and the music itself was far from BTS. It had a slightly disturbed sound to it and the video was just as disturbed. It showed us how much of a rap monster he really is.
Life and Awakening show us that his soul is tortured and he has been depressed. He has hard times and he let us in on that. He shared that with us because he trusted fans to support him and not judge him.
He was underground for some time and has a mixtape out called RM.
