One of the coolest things about Shepard was that his character was completely customizable... your choices shaped how his character handled various situations, and influenced the kind of person he became and his interactions with others. You could make him cruel and ruthless, or kind and caring. Overall, I thought it was a great way to handle the protagonist of what ended up being my favorite video game series. Ah, I love the Mass Effect series. I know that there is quite a large group of people upset by the ending to the trilogy, but I love it nonetheless. I loved that you were able to make so many decisions and how your choices made your own game unique from others.

I think Mass effect really changed the way narratives are shown in games... You see the customized story telling everywhere now, which I see it as a good thing

@YinofYang Yeah, I wasn't a huge fan of the ending, but everything else more than made up for it. @Get2daChoppa I agree, the ability to choose nearly everything that happened in the entire series was something no one had tried before, and it was one of the things that made that series great.

@GarrusVakarian I agree. Although, not everyone hated that ending, apparently. I'm excited for the next one. Those tantalizing teasers were not enough!
