After her baby god hung up, she went back to her hiding spot. She didn't like the way he sounded. She heard the doors open.
She closed her eyes hoping to hear her baby god's voice call out to her. She felt like a child sitting in the corner waiting for him to rescue her. All of a sudden she heard a loud crash, like someone kicking a door open. It got quiet. Then she heard it again. Someone was grumbling and swearing. Then she heard the sound of things being knocked over.
“I know this is the only place you could hide. You can't get upstairs.”
She heard the manager yell. She listened to him huffing as he overturned boxes and crates. He was breathing so heavily that she heard him coming towards where she was hiding.
“Where the fuck are you?”
She seen a rack of clothes disappear to the far left of her. Her heart started to pound, she had to make a run for it, she had to do right now, he was closing in on her. She cupped her tummy, looking down.
“We have to go.” She said quietly. She got up on her feet like a runner, closed her eyes and counted to three. She pushed off, dodging through the clothes, made a wide turn, and headed for the door. She seen him at the corner of her eye coming after her. He tackled her from behind just as she got to the door. They flew through the double doors, landing on the floor, slamming into the far wall.
The manager grabbed her leg, swinging his fist down on her knee, she screamed as excruciating pain charged up her leg. She swung her other leg around, sweeping it across his face, he shook it off before reaching down and grabbing her around the throat and started to choke her. He lifted her off the ground, slamming her into the wall. She pulled at his hands and kicking at him as hard as she could. Unbeknownst to them that someone had been watching.
“LET HER GO!”
The manager looked over to see one of his boys standing not too far away. He wondered what the eldest was doing there. He dropped noona, who slumped down to the floor, trying to breathe. When she seen he was distracted, she crawled away.
“What are you doing here, dongsaeng? You shouldn't be here.” the manager asked out of breath.
“Hyung, what are you doing? Why are you hurting people?” The eldest asked approaching him cautiously, “This isn't like you.”
The manager hunched over, putting his hands on his knees like he was tired, “It's a hard job trying to keep you boys in line. It really is and sometimes you have to do things to make sure it all goes smoothly. To make sure you boy’s MISTAKES don't get in the way of the success of your futures and that of the company.” The manager looked around and seen that noona was nowhere to be seen. He glared at the eldest.
“You’re helping her, AREN'T YOU!!” the manager’s voice echoed and reverberated through the hallway.
The eldest for the first time seen his hyung’s true self, “Don't do it anymore, hyung…”
The eldest shook his head as he watched his hyung run down the hall after noona. He looked back over his shoulder. The others were over to the other side of the building at the other studio. He couldn't get them now, he needed to follow the manager to make sure he didn't do any more harm.
He yelled as loud as he could in their direction, “I FOUND HER!”
The eldest pursued the manager and noona.
He ran down the hall. He seen the door to the stairwell slowly closing. He ran inside. He looked up, listening. He could hear huffing and puffing of someone two floors above him. Then he heard someone banging on doors, trying to open one. Then he seen noona peek over the railing four floors above, looking down at him. He called out to her, his voice echoing up.
He ran back out to the hall, entered his key code, the elevator doors opened and he got on. Just as the doors were closing he seen his brothers running down the hall. He pointed up.
