Being in the car for an hour was exhausting itself but moving boxes from the moving truck to the elevator and into Juro house that was big enough for a family of four, was even more exhausting.
Since Juro had furniture, we didn't bring a whole lot. We took my bed and left my mom's bed and other furniture at the old house.
I set the last box down on the floor and flopped next to it, spread out like I was going to make a snow angel. I laid there trying to catch my breath. It been two weeks after they told the news and my mom didn't want to wait so long to move out. She thought that the faster we move, the better.
I couldn't see why because they weren't getting married until three months from now. "Come on Ji, we need to move these to your room and mine and your mom's room." Juro said holding out his hands for me to grab. He used his strength to pull me to my feet.
I didn't want to move these boxes but I knew I had too. I collected all of my boxes into a pile and went back and forth putting them in my room. My room was a good size room. It was more bigger then the one at the old house. There was a window that faced the front of the house, toward the street.
We had brought a lot of my room furniture, thinking it was a lot easier to do instead of buying new room furniture. Once getting all my boxes, I laid on my unmade bed. Why was this such a pain in the butt.
"Sweetie, we are ordering take out, what would you like to eat?" My mom asked as she popped her head through the cracked door.
"Fried Chicken" I said. It was obvious that I was in love with fried chicken. She rolled her eyes, like she knew that I was going to say that.
"Alright, I'll call you when dinner is here. You unpack and get some rest. You need to go to the school to get your schedule and the uniform shop to get your uniform. You know what school your going too?"
"Yes Ma, Seoul Preforming Art High School." I repeated the school name since she told me a zillion times before in the two weeks we were getting ready to move.
She was able to came a week early to fill out paperwork and find a place to open a new bakery and to find workers. She left me to go to school and pack things up at the house. It was a good thing Sora lend a hand or we wouldn't be here.
"Okay, well I'll let you get to unpacking. I love you" she said and closed the door.
"I love you too" calling out to her through the door. I picked up my first boxes that was full of books. I went to my bookshelf and started placing them in order.
Slowly seconds turn into minutes and minutes turned into two hours. I finished my whole room. I took a small break in between to eat dinner. And now I was getting ready for bed as I had a long day a head tomorrow.
Mom and Juro bid a good night to me before they headed to their room.
The sun shinned bright through the window, hitting rays of light on my face. I rolled over and covered my face with my cover. I groaned as I tried to wake up. "EunJi, its time to get up!!" I heard a knock on my door. I groaned again as I sat up and rub the crust off my eyes. "EunJi??"
"What?! I'm up!!" I yelled at her annoyed. I wasn't much of a morning person. I threw the covers back and climbed out of the bed. I gathered clothes for my shower.
I lazily walked to the bathroom. I washed my face, teeth and turned the water on. The water felt nice on my skin as it was slowly waking me up to start the day. My shower gel was a Japanese cherry blossom smell. My shampoo smelled like strawberries with coconut. I turned the water off the water when I got squeaky clean. Drying off, I put on a plain black shirt with denim blue jeans. I blow dried my hair and put it in a pony tail as I put on BB cream, eyeliner and lip gloss. Hopping to my room, I searched in my jewelry. I picked out simple studs and a necklace along with a watch and bracelet.
I was finally ready for my day out in Seoul. I walked out to the dining room to see my mom making breakfast and Juro sitting with his laptop in front of him. I assume he was doing some work before going into work. "Good morning Mom, Juro" I said taking a seat in a chair and helping myself to a plate of bacon.
"Good morning Ji" Juro looked up from his laptop and gave me a warm fatherly smile. Mom came and kissed my cheek as she put some blueberry pancakes on my plate. One thing about my mom cooking was that is was always tasting amazing. She wouldn't be a chef if it wasn't amazing.
"You have to go to the uniform shop to pick up your uniform. I already order and paid for it. Then you have to go to the school for a tour and class schedule. Your not starting school until tomorrow. So make sure you get your school supplies while your out too." She told me while sitting in her seat with her plate in front of her. We all made small talk while eating until Juro and my mom left to go to work. I told my mom that I would take care of the dishes. I thought I should do them now before I leave because it sounded like I was going to be out all day.
Wiping my hands on the towel. I quickly got the money Juro left for me before he left and got my purse before getting shoes on. I made sure to lock the door behind me as I made my way around the town. Finding the uniform store wasn't that hard. I was lucky that I had a smart phone to lead me to the shop. I walked in and greeted the man behind the register.
"Hello, how can I help you sweetie?" He asked me. He seemed to be in his seventy with his white hair falling out from aging. "Yes I have a pick up for Kim EunJi" I told him. He nod and went to the back to go look for it. I waited in the lobby area and looked around. He came back and asked if I wanted to try it on to make sure it fit right. I nod and he pointed to the dressing room. I walked in it and locked the door behind me. I slipped my clothes off and put on the yellow uniform on. I went out to get his opinion on the uniform.
He gave me a soft smile and made sure that the measurements were in the right places and that it wasn't too lose. He okay-ed it and allowed me to change back into my regular clothes. I bid him a good day as I left. I didn't really want to luggage this uniform with me but I had no choice too as I headed to the school.
The school looked really big, I could see it was a coed school as students walked pass by me. I knew I would be lost so I asked one of the student where the office was. When she showed me, I thanked her and made my way. I bowed and greeted the staff. "Hello, my name is Kim EunJi. I'm here for a tour and my schedule for tomorrow."
"Ah yes... I'm Mr. Lee, I will be your homeroom teacher. Here is your schedule. You have your regular basics Math, English, Science, and History. We put you in Home Economics, Dance, Vocal, and Art class. Is there any problems with your schedule? " he asked looking at me. Mr. Lee was quite a handsome man. His skin was flawless and his squared glassed made him more manlier. I could feel a blush trying to creep up but I held it down. I shook my head. "No sir."
He gave a smile. "That's great now let me get your tour guide. Its almost lunch time so your welcome to stay for lunch. You can leave your uniform here. I'll watch over it." he said to me, looking in my eyes. I nod and set my uniform down as he picked up a phone and spoke into the receiver.
"Mrs. Kang, I would like Oh Nana to the teacher lounge." He put the phone down. "Miss. Nana should be here soon. You can have a seat right over there." pointing to a couch. I nod and walked to the couch. I sat down and took out my phone. I had messages from Sora, and my mom. Replying to both of them and putting my phone away as the door opened and came in a fair tan girl with light brown hair that was length to the mid back.
"Mr. Lee, you called for me." she spoke to grab our teacher attention. He looked up from his papers and gave her a warm smile. "Yes, I would like you to meet Kim EunJi. She's a new student. She has her schedule all I need is you to give her a guide around the school." the girl nod and looked at me. "Hello, I'm Nana, I'm also the vice class president. Mr. class president got sick earlier and had to leave school so I'll give you your tour. May I see your schedule?" she asked.
"I'm EunJi." I introduced myself while giving her my schedule to look at. She smiled and told me to follow her. She lead me to the halls, as I looked around the halls. There was a lot of peoples arts and crafts also the lockers that seem to be decorated by the students. We stopped in front of a locker that wasn't decorated. This is yours, we are allowed to decorate our lockers.. if you haven't notice. Your combination is 34-10-15. I put in the number and it unlocked. "Good that it opens right. Shall we move on." I nod.
"So where did you move from?" She asked me. I cleared my throat. "I moved from the other side of town." her face expression seemed shocked. "Oh, why did you move?"
"My mom is getting remarried in three months and my mom didn't want to wait so we moved her. She's a pastry chef. Her bakery is actually 2 miles away from this school... so it's really close. Maybe we can go together after school."
She smiled. "I would like that. I'm very shy to meet other people but you give off a easy going vibe." she complemented me. "Thanks" as she nod. "So this is our class room." I looked through the window of the classroom and saw the teacher teaching. I didn't want to disturb so we moved on to the other class rooms that held my dancing, drama, vocal and art classes were. We were walking outside the drama classroom when the bell ranged and all the student piled into the halls going to one place.
"Come on, I'll show you where the cafeteria is." she laced her arm with mine and dragged me off with a smile. I was glad I could get a friend before I started school. She and I got in line for food but I didn't want any because after lunch I would be going supply shopping and going home where I can make me ramen.
"Why aren't you going to eat?" she asked. I shook my head "Not hungry" but as soon as I said that my stomach rumbles and she starts laughing. "Really because your stomach says other wise. Don't worry, I'll get extra for you my bestie." she went back and focus on getting our food as I looked at all the students talking among each other. Once she paid we went to find a empty table but knowing how much of a klutz I am, I trip over my untied shoe string, stumbled on my own feet as I lost my balance and fell on this random guy's lap.
I could have sworn that the whole cafeteria went silent that you could hear a penny drop to the floor, it was a few minutes that everyone went back to doing what they were doing.
"Hello Angel, What part of heaven did you fall from to land on my lap?" the guy said giving me a flirtatious comment. I looked up to see a brown eye, tan skin, with a smirk played on his lips. My eyes widen to see it was Kai who I have meet three months ago at the bus stop, I was crying at.
We all looked at the boy who yelled his name and gave him a 'what the fuck' look. "Wwwaaaaeeeee!!!! You guys were calling out names and I didn't want to be left out." He whined as he pouted and went back to eating his food.
"Baekhyun get off me!!!" Nana said as I looked to see the light brown hair guy hugging Nana and Nana trying to pray him off of her. He snuggled into her more as he rubbed his cheek with her's. I couldn't help but giggled at the cute scene that was going on. "Hyung!!! Get off my sister!!!!" another voice said to Baekhyun.
"But I want my Nana!!!" he whined as the guy tried to get Baekhyun off of Nana. Nana and her brother struggled to get him off of her until another guy stood up and hit him on the head. "Owwww" He let go of Nana and rubbed his head.
"What was that for Chanyeol?" he pouted, which reminded me of a pouting puppy. "Your being annoying Hyung." The tall guy with the elf ears said as he sat back down. Baekhyun pouted and sat down in the chair he was sitting in before the cute scene started. In all honesty, I forgot I was still sitting in Kai's lap, until he wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me farther into his lap.
"So I see your not in uniform, is today your first day or no?" he asked me as I turned my attention to him. Our faces were close that I could feel his hot breathe. "No, I'll start tomorrow. I'll be leaving after lunch though." telling him.
"Can I at least get your number before you go." he asked me. I thought for a minute, it wouldn't hurt if he did. I haven't even give Nana my number yet either. I nod my head yes as he smiled and took out his phone to hand it to me. Punching my number in and giving it back, I could see his smirk on his pretty face. "I'll text you later then." Nodding again, the sound of a bell ringing echoed in the cafeteria and students got up to throw their trash away. I got myself up from Kai's lap and he stood up and kneeled to the floor to tie my shoe.
"Don't want you landing on other guys lap, now do we?" he said giving me a little wink and taking his tray of food to the garbage can. I told the other's goodbye and that I'll see them tomorrow. Nana stood next to me.
"Oooooo!!! Someone got a crush on you!!" she teased as I blush a crimson red. "No he doesn't!!" I denied it as I could feel my lips forming into a smile.
"uh huh, I'll give it two months and you guys will be dating. He is a flirt but a really good guy, I can promise you that." she said smiling back at me. "Come on lets get you back to the office so you can go." she nudge me. I nudge her back as we laughed.
I sitting on the city bus with my uniform in my hand and a bag sitting next to me as I was staring out the window. I couldn't stop smiling as I was thinking back on Nana and Kai texting me later in the day. I was lucky enough that there was a store near the school so I could get the supplies I needed. Getting off at my bus stop which was close to my new house. I walked a few more distance and opened the door.
It seemed like Juro and my mom beat me home as I saw their shoe's in the entrance area. "I'm home!!!" I called out to them.
"Hey Ji" they both called back to me. I took my shoes off and went to see them in the living room watching tv. I sat in between them. "How was your guys day?" asking them. "The bakery was busy this afternoon. I left early and let the manager take care of the bakery. I told her to call me if she needs me." my explained to me as her day went. Juro was a simple answer that it was just work. He was really a man of many words. They asked me about mine and I told them that I made some friend that I can hang out now. They were really thrilled that I made friends. When we got silent, I excused myself to my room and my mom excused herself to make dinner.
I closed the door of my room as I set the bag and my uniform on my desk. I plopped on my bed and stared at the ceiling as I came bored out of my mind. A ringing came from my phone, I took it out and looked to see Sora calling.
"EunJi!!!!!" She squealed into the receiver.
"Sora!!!!" I yelled back in her ear.
"Yah that hurts. But Anyways, Guess what!!!!" she squealed again. I gave up and put the phone on speaker and laid it a distance from my head.
"So I heard from Jiyoung, who heard it from Minyoung, who heard it Saejoon that Soohyun and YoungBin are dating. Can you believe it!!! That Miss Bitch and Mr. Jerk are dating!!!!"
I wasn't for sure why she need to bring him into a conversation. I really didn't want to talk about him. After hurting me the way he did. I stopped anything that had to do with him. I shift uncomfortable on my bed.
"EunJi??" she asked "Hello earth to EunJi?? Are you there?"
"Huh? Oh yeah...I was just... Can we talk about something else?" I asked her as gave me a disappointed reply.
"Yeah sure, how was your day?" She asked.
"Well I went to the school to get my schedule and it was going well until I tripped over my shoe lace and landed on this guy lap at lunch time, since I was invited to stay. And you would not believe who it was!!!"
"Who? WAS IT THE GUY FROM THREE MONTHS AGO?!?!?!?!?!?" She yelled into the phone.
"Yeah it was." I told her as she squealed in the phone again.
"Omg!!! So do you like him?" she asked.
"I'm not sure we just meet...."
"I bet you guys will. I'm gonna have to meet him when I come to visit. Omg I can't wait!!!" She Squealed again. I heard a soft knock on my door. Juro stuck his head in. "Its dinner time." he mouthed as I nod and he shut the door when he left."Sora, I gotta go, it's dinner time." I told her as we bid our goodbyes. I picked up my phone and went to the dining room to see the table already set with food as the three of us sat down.
