The manager kicked the door open. He looked around, wondering where they were hiding. He walked out along the edge of the roof. Looking down at the street. As he came around the corner of the gazebo that sat up there for the employees, he was startled. There sitting on a bench was the eldest.
“Where she is?” The manager asked calmly.
The eldest gazed at him, “She flew away. Don't worry about her. She's the least of the problems.”
“No. She's caused a lot…”
The eldest huffed, “No hyung, you're just taking it out on her. She's not the problem, we are. Me and the boys. We like to play, or used to. We played rough and made a mess and you cleaned up after us. I didn't realize that until now, how much trouble we've been.”
“You’re not to blame, dongsaeng. You're just innocent boys having fun. If weren't for little bitches like her and that other one… you're not to blame.” The manager, looked around, “so tell me dongsaeng, where is she so I can finish this.”
The eldest stood up.
Noona watched from her hiding spot. She didn't know what he had in mind but from what she's learned of him he's more than just the oldest looking after the younger boys, showing them things. The eldest had a dark side to him, one that even she dare not bring out.
The eldest stood nose to nose with the manager, looking him dead in the eyes. “Baby brother loves that woman. And we love him, so we will protect her for him… you lay off of her or pay the price. You're either with us or against us.”
The manager looked at him in an odd way, his head tilting to one side trying to comprehend what he just heard. He looked at the eldest from head to toe, “why are you saying this?”
“Because…” the eldest lifted an eyebrow, “we need someone to keep covering our asses.” His lips thinned into a smile.
“No. You boys either listen to me or nothing.” the manager said.
The eldest nodded his head right before his eyes looked past him, “If that's how you want it.”
The manager looked back to see what he was looking at.
Noona seen her baby god walk up behind the manager. She scooted closer, thinking she would run out to him. She watched him sucker punch the manager, before sweeping his legs out from under him, knocking him to the ground. Then her dark god jumped in, yelling something about almost killing his little brother while kicking the hell out of him. She heard her baby god say how the manager pushed him over the railing, then started beating the manager, pounding his fists into him while he sat on top of him.
He looked up and their eyes met. He left the manager and came to her. He got down on his knees and put his hand out to her. Noona almost cried seeing him, she took his hand and he pulled her out from under the gazebo. His arms were warm and strong holding her, she breathed him in deep, holding onto him hard.
“What do you mean he threw you over the railing?” she asked. Her head tucked against his chest.
He smoothed his hand over her head, “It's nothing, don't worry about it.” He looked back, his hyungs had the manager by the arms, holding him down on the ground.
