Jae found her time working with Junmyeon fun. She did miss him, he wasn't as bad as they said he was going to be. She didn't understand why they had said that. The time he was away was somewhat boring. She really didn't have anyone to talk to or laugh with. Her and Junmyeon got into the habit of eating lunch together and having great conversations. But now, there wasn't much for her to do since everyone had an assistant.
Quite frankly, Junmyeon didn't have anyone. He didn't have a personal assistant like the other actors, his manager was gone most of time, splitting his time between Junmyeon and another member. She came to understand that in the music groups, each member has a manager to look after them. Especially when they go out on their own but Junmyeon didn't have a manager.
An idea struck her but she wasn't sure if she'd be able to pull it off or even if the boss would let her since she's only been working at the company for a few months. She got the idea that she would be his assistant, if he's looking for one.
She was eating by herself when she got a text.
“Hello” accompanied with a smiley face.
She didn't know the number, just when she was about to ask…
“It's me, Junmyeon” another smiley face.
“Hello, Junmyeon-ssi. How are you?” She texted back.
She got a thumbs up and a poop.
“What does that mean, you're okay but pooped out? lol”
“When I return, would you like to have dinner?”
Oh no, she thought, is he asking me out on a date? He texted back that made her feel awkward, she looked around thinking he was somewhere near, reading her thoughts.
“It's not a date. Just dinner. I missed our conversations and you can catch me up on what's been going on.” an angel smiley face popped up.
“Okay. Yeah, we can do that. When will you be back?”
“Tonight. Actually in a couple hours. We're at the airport getting ready to board.”
“I'll see you in a couple hours, sir.” she sent a thumbs up and an eye glassed smiley face.
As soon as work was over with, she ran home to get ready. But she thought, that maybe he would go home and rest first. So she took her time. Her phone rang.
She heard Junmyeon breathe into the phone, he sighed as if he was happy to hear her, “Are you ready?” he asked.
“I am. Where are you, I'll come meet you.”
He giggled, “I’m outside your place.”
She looked into her phone, “You are? How did you know…” she hung up and went downstairs.
He was standing outside his car with a big smile but he looked tired. His eyes were droopy and a little puffy like he just woke up. He ushered her to the passenger side and opened the door for her. She wanted to ask him how he knew where she lived and why didn't he go home to rest. He closed the door and went around to the driver side. When he got in, he yawned.
“Aren't you tired?” She asked concerned.
“I'm fine, I slept on the plane. Remember, I have to be back to the play tomorrow and I wanted to get with you about what's been going on.” He said as they drove away.
“There's not much to report.” Then she remembered what she had thought about earlier, “I was thinking, if it was okay with you and my boss but I was thinking that maybe I can be your assistant for the remainder of the week. Everyone else has one but you don't. You don't even have a manager.” She waited for his answer.
He smiled brightly, liking the idea, “I would like that very much. Thank you. But as my assistant, you would have to follow me everywhere, be there when I need you, be available all hours of the day, even at night. Can you handle that?”
“Only if you tuck yourself into bed then yes, I can.” She laughed. He laughed with her.
“If that's your only condition, then I accept you as my assistant.” He said happily.
They ate dinner, talking about everything but work. They laughed and told stories to one another. Junmyeon wished he could have dinner with her every night.
