Don’t you worry, we’re still the same creative space for sharing what you love with others who feel the same way! We’re just sprucing things up a bit.
We know change is a little scary, so hopefully this card can explain the new features and ease any worries you might have. As always, we encourage your feedback! After all, it was your previous feedback that shaped this update!

Make Your Interests More You
On Vingle, there were over 3,000 communities created and while that seems like a large number, it wasn’t anywhere near enough to express everyone’s interests. It was frustrating for Vinglers to have to request and wait for their community to be created. Now, you have the freedom to create and tag your own communities! Don’t worry about the past communities. All that content will simply move to a tag. For example the Japanese Anime community will be in #JapaneseAnime with all the previous cards and events!
Express yourself freely and more accurately!

Follow Other Vinglers
Originally on Vingle you could only follow Collections, not people. That was because we wanted to free you from the pressure of having to write things that all your followers would like. Maybe you have a lot of friends that like Anime, but you also have a lot that don’t. If you post a lot about an Anime, some of your friends might not like it that much. That’s why we made it so you could follow collections and people could only see what they want to. Making you free to post whatever wherever!
With our new User Follow feature, you can follow your friends completely, but its still a little differnet from most platforms. You won’t see every single card from a user you follow in your feed. Instead, you will only be shown the cards written by that user that is from interests you might like. That way, your feed will still be what you want to see, but you can still enjoy following your fellow Vinglers. Content creators don’t need to worry about annoying their followers either :)
Meet a Smarter Feed
As mentioned above, our feed logic is getting smarter. We will work hard to show you cards from your interests and related interests to give you want you want! The feed will also be better at highlighting new and interesting content that you will surely enjoy.
On top of that, we’ve made the feed a one-column feed! This will help you avoid click-bait posts that have a catchy title and photo and it is a fresh way to show off your content! We released this slowly over the past few months and the feedback was mostly positive! Thank you to everyone who helped test and improve this design :)

Write More Easily
Something else we got a lot of feedback about was out Card editor and we’ve made some changes that will make it a lot easier to create content here on Vingle. You no longer have to go through certain steps like choosing your title, collection, and language choice. You can simply write and post, making sharing what you love so much easier!
We’ve also added the ability to clip other content and show a link preview so you can write about something without others having to open a new window. Easier writing, easier reading :)

Express Yourself with Top Interests
Now you can more easily express yourself on your profile. You can choose four interests to highlight as your ‘Top Interests.’ These will show on your profile so that anyone who visits your page can see what you’re really into. You can change these as often as you want!
If you’d rather keep some things private, you can also make your followed interests private instead of publically viewable.
Cheer on Others!
Since the new Vingle wants to focus more on Vinglers rather than content, we wanted to create a feature that celebrates others. That is how the new ‘Boost’ feature was born!
Whether you’re impressed by another Vinglers’ knowledge of a certain subject, or perhaps their talent or humor, you now have a way to show your gratitude. Simply give them a Boost in whatever community you’re thankful to have them in. It’s a way for you all to get closer and for Vinglers to be celebrated for their great contributions to the community.
That’s It!
Wow, thanks for reading all of that! How does it sound?
We know its a lot of take in, but we hope this helped explain the new changes. We encourage you to try it out yourself and give us your feedback. We built this will all your previous feedback in mind, so we hope you love it! We will be updating our messaging feature soon, and we will be sure to communicate with you about it!
