The United States has sent a pair of B-52 strategic bombers through the controversial Chinese air defense zone (see my previous card). China has declared the existence of the new zone in an attempt to exert de-facto joint control over the Senkaku islands (owned by Japan). Defense Secretary Hagel stated that the Senkaku islands are part of the US-Japan mutual defense treaty. This means that the United States must consider any conflict between China and Japan over the islands as an attack on the US....
You would think we would not use such old planes anymore
then again, we spend too much on defense
plane tech really hasn't changed
except for fighters
