Today is Fan art Friday in the BTS Community!! So, I have decided to use them for today since it still fits into today's theme~ I hope you like them~ It was supposed to have text on it saying: BTS Writer Wednesday. But right now there is no point to leave the words on there LOL I rushed drawing the both of these, so it isn't great LOL Can you guess what photos were used as reference?? VST (Virtual Studio Technology) Plugins
You may have heard before about VST plugins, but if you are still wondering what they actually are, this article will help understand what they are and why you may want to experiment with them at some point. What Are VST Plugins? VST stands for Virtual Studio Technology, so it's essentially a digital piece of equipment. Your computer will run it like any other program, and that piece of software is in some cases a synthesizer or an effect unit, a piece of audio equipment generally speaking. We can consider VST plugins something like a compressor, an EQ, a MIDI effect, sample player engine, a synthesizer, so you may have heard of some popular ones, some of them being free, while others paid. If you want cool, inspiring, and useful VST plugins, you can use: https://audiofreakout.com/ Audio Freakout is a company based in Turku, Finland, and is specialized in the production of quality VST plugins. When you think of VST plugins, consider that they are small software programs that run inside of a digital audio workstation or door for short. This could be: Logic, Cubase, Ableton, Studio One, Pro Tools, Pro X, FL Studio, or another. The most common plug-in format is a VST (Virtual Studio Technology), but there are others, including: AAX, RTAX and AU. Before doing anything, you have to check if your operating system and door, supports the specific type of plugin format. For example, Logic uses the AU format, Pro Tools uses AAX amd RTAS, while VST is the most widely supported format used by other doors, such as the Sonatina symphonic orchestra sound module and Spitfire audio labs products will load straight into your door as plugins. Adding VST Plugins to Your Digital Audio Workstation (Door) We know that VST is a pretty popular format supported by a large number of doors, one of them being Ableton. Before starting to work, you have to install the VST plugins and plug them into Ableton, host them into Ableton and use their capabilities inside the audio workstation. When you are a beginner, you might be quite happy just using the inbuilt Ableton effects and instruments, but after a certain point you may decide that you want to use different instruments, different effects, instruments with a wider range of capabilities, different sound character, etc. Ableton has standard and good sounding effects, but if you want more creative control, some VST plugins can bring more parameters for you to get more unique sounds and will just give you more possibilities in general. It is certainly worth looking at the VST plugins produced by Audio Freakout, because once you purchase and install them into your door, you will be able to start exploring a new territory that can be overwhelming for you due to the new opportunities created. If you are not sure what version of the plugin to get (32 bit or 64 bit), just run dxdiag in windows to see if your operating system is on 32 bit or 64 bit. Older PCs usually run on 32 bit, while the new ones run on 64 bit.
