2.) The Mortal James - "A Door Opening"

2.
My first day.

To this day, I still do not know why I can recollect the dream I had that night. I suppose the reason could be that it had been the most oddest dream that I ever had. In this dream, I was standing on the edge of a mountain cliff. Down below, I could see thick fog all across the land and these little lightening storms shooting off like fireworks. It was like viewing a lightening storm upside down. The thunder bolts shot off into the sky above it. It was day time but the blue coloring of it had faded away and I could see the stars. Only near the horizon could you still see the blue sky. Something caught my eye, a glimmer, it was shiny, dancing in the fog, then it became two. Dancing together and before I knew it, one exploded into streaks of lightening, shooting up into space. Then everything was quiet. The sun set on the horizon as I watched the fog thicken and rise. It rose up the wall of the mountain toward me. My feet disappeared and then my legs. It was so thick I could not move, it held me still. It crept up my body. As it started to envelope my head, I could hear the sound of screams coming through the fog, like echoes down a long hallway. Very much like the screams of men on a battlefield. That was the last thing I remember hearing before waking up.

I drew the curtains open and was taken back by the magnificent view from my window. It was truly breath taking. I took my time getting ready, eating in the dining hall downstairs, and preparing myself to explore what I can for the rest of the day.

The first place I came to of interest was a small old church. The gate was open so I went in. It was beautifully constructed, very quiet and peaceful. The huge round stained glass window was the first thing I noticed the second I came through the doors. I sat for a while. It felt as though there was a kind of presence in there that was understanding and forgiving. If nothing else, I could have almost believed in God.

God and I know the other exists but only one us believes in the other.

Feeling as though I should be going, I headed for the door but just as I reached it and was starting to push it open, I heard a voice from behind me. It sounded like someone wishing me peace. I looked back and seen a tall slender man in a long brown monks robe standing in the beautiful colored light of the stained window. He smiled, so I smiled in turn. What makes this a most memorable spot is that I had looked away for a second, Only for a second, when I looked back, he was gone. Like he had vanished. When I walked out and stood looking up at the steeple to the right, an older man with white hair asked me if there was anything he could help me with. I told him I was just visiting, as I got my camera out, thinking I would ask him to take a photo of me standing in front of the little church. I asked him about the tall slender man inside. He looked puzzled and said that he was the only one there.

It was my turn to be puzzled.

I described the man to the little white haired man, I am assuming by now that he must be the groundskeeper because he didn’t look like no priest. He shook his head at me. Then as if remembering so suddenly, he gasps.

“Many years ago, there was a monk that lived here. He lived here for a long time. But he passed away some time ago, ummmm, nearly four decades now. No priest or monk has occupied this church since then.”

I found myself peeking back inside. I took a quick pic, hoping to capture something on camera like they do on those ghost story shows, but there was nothing. The groundskeeper laughed and joked, telling me to take more photos, maybe I’ll get something. I thought maybe just one more and I’ll go.

I wandered the city streets for hours. When it started to get dark, I made my way back to my hotel. After dinner, as I gazed out my window at all the lights and at the Eiffel Tower off in the distance, the strangest thing happened.

As I stood there, I could have sworn I had seen lightening coming off the tower. There had not been a cloud in sight all day and it sure did not look like there was any at that time. It was quick, it was over in a matter of seconds. I wondered if anyone had seen it. I closed my curtains and went to bed. At the time, I did not think of the dream I had the night before, it did not even occur to me the coincidence.

How It Used To Be A Chanyeol Oneshot
So, this is for the Complete the Story Event. I'm not sure who all is doing this but I decided to post anyway. If nothing else, it was fun to write. It's super last minute because I just moved and don't have Internet at my place and also, my new work is so crazy busy. I've barely written for the last 2 weeks. I'm hoping that'll change soon. But anyhow, here's the story. I hope you enjoy. Please let me know if you would like to be tagged or untagged or only tagged for certain groups. ****************************** “Chanyeol!!” I screamed, trying to find him. Where did he run off to? I turned a corner. “Raawr!” I let out a scream. I smacked him. “Don’t do that!!!” I laughed. “You like it.” He smiled and ran off. “Seriously!” I yelled and ran after him. We always were like this. Even as we grew up, we never really did when we were around each other. All of a sudden, Chanyeol turned around. Chanyeol gave me a smirk and grabbed me by the waist. “I hope you’re ready for a tickle fight!!!!” he said. “Bring it on!!!” And the ‘fighting’ commenced. It both ended with us breathlessly laughing, sprawled out on the living room floor. It had been this way for two months since Chanyeol moved in with me. He’d been rooming with another of our friends from high school, but that friend had to move to attend a new college. Chanyeol had been stuck with his apartment on his own and the landlord took it upon himself to raise the rent the next month. It was too much for one person to handle; he had to move out. But he never told me these things. I knew it was for me, though. He was probably afraid of ‘inconveniencing’ me because he knew I would offer my extra room. It ended up that way anyway when our friend Xiumin told me about the situation. I called Chanyeol, upset that he hadn’t told me, and he ended up agreeing to move in. He’d been looking for a place since then, though it being college start season, there were no affordable rooms available. And that’s why he’d been at my place for two months. But being friends since childhood, helping each other was second nature. We were best friends, nothing more. Or, at least, that’s how it used to be. Throughout our childhood, our parents used to joke that we’d get married when we grew up. If nothing else, we were certainly going to date once we were old enough. But nothing ever happened like that, our feelings never seemed to be that way. We’d dated other people and loved other people. Through it all, though, we loved each other the way best friends did. Or, at least, that’s how it used to be. He’d been living at my place for about a month when things started to change. For me, anyway. At first, I noticed that he was closer than he had been before. He was more physically touchy with me than he had been before. He smiled at me more and that smile seemed to hide something… more. There was no other way to describe it. Sometimes it seemed sad, other times it was loving. The way he looked at me sometimes, like he was searching for something in me… It gave me a funny feeling, a feeling I was familiar with. And then I realized something while listening to someone else’s story: it wasn’t him, it was me. Chanyeol was the same as he’d always been. He was goofy and funny. He was always a touchy kind of person with hugs and skinship and such with no regard to personal space. He smiled at everyone and his smile was always the same, it was me who was seeing it in a different light. He always looked at me like that, making sure I wasn’t only pretending to be interested in the conversation. That feeling I had… it was the feeling of me falling for my best friend. That was the worst thing that could ever happen to me. It was taboo. Only in movies and dramas did something like that work out. In real life, you’re best friends for a reason; because there’s nothing more between you two. So I did the only thing I could think to do. I started to distance myself. Not so far that it would be obvious that something was wrong, but just enough for my heart to stay calm. Chanyeol noticed something was off immediately because he started asking if I was alright. I would respond with a smile, a laugh, and initiating either another game of tag or a tickle fight. It was apparent that distancing myself was not going to work. So that’s the way I’d kept it for a month. When he came home after work, my day off, and told me that he’d finally found a place, I couldn’t help the disappointment I felt. Of course, it was for the best. Maybe the only reason I thought I’d fallen for him was because we were so close. Maybe when he left, I would finally realize that all of it was simply because I was lonely and he was there for me. That made the most sense. You didn’t grow up with someone and then suddenly fall for them. That was the least logical thing. But it’s not like it was possible to control my stupid heart. The sinking feeling in my stomach got stronger and stronger as the time for Chanyeol to leave approached. I knew it was for the best, but it still hurt. It didn’t help that it felt like Chanyeol was trying to make the most of our time left together by holding onto me even more. Of course, that was only unwanted wishful thinking. I decided to just go with it. After all, it would stop soon. So our games continued. Our movie nights with me snuggled up against him continued. Our behavior that, to me, seemed to barely fit within the realm of acceptable friendship boundaries continued. I loved and loathed it. And I couldn’t stop. The way he smiled at me… it was the same as always, but it now sent butterflies fluttering through my stomach. “Are you okay?” he asked me. “Of course. Why wouldn’t I be?” His frown told me I must not have been doing a very good job of convincing him. He pulled me gently against his chest. My heart raced. “What if I didn’t want you to be?” His voice was barely above a whisper. My body tensed up. “What?” Why would he say that? I started to pull away. He held tight. In a louder voice he said, “Why don’t you seem to be?” Of course that’s what he said. He wouldn’t want me to have a problem. I was just too tired. I returned his hug. And that was the last of it. He moved out the next week. I wanted to cry when he hugged me and kissed my forehead. He promised to keep our movie nights, but I wouldn’t hold him to it. He left, and once again my apartment felt empty. No, that’s not true, it felt… wrong. All the laughter over the last two months was gone. It was desolate. It was empty; I was empty. Over the next few weeks, when Chanyeol really did keep his promise to come for movie nights, it was the only time my apartment, and my life, seemed to have life in it again. After everything, him being away didn’t change my feelings. If anything, it made me long for him even more. I was a lost cause, a cliché. In love with my best friend who had never thought of me as anything else. About a month after he moved out, we were having our usual movie night. Being so close to him was like coming across an oasis in the middle of the desert; I drank it all u even though I shouldn’t have. We were watching a movie when he suddenly spoke up in the middle of it. “There’s a girl in one of my classes.” I knew how this was going. “She’s nice and she keeps sitting next to me and talking to me. She said we should go out sometime.” It wasn’t uncommon for girls to flirt with him and ask him out. I had always supported him in being happy. I would have to do that now. “Do you like her?” I asked, trying to sound upbeat. “I don’t know her,” he replied simply. “Well, if you want to give her a chance, you should.” It hurt to say that. “Should I?” “Is there a reason why you shouldn’t?” “Is there?” I sat upright and turned to him. “Are you just going to ask my questions back at me?” “Never mind,” he sighed, looking back to the TV. I rolled my eyes and stood up. “Fine.” I walked past him to walk around the couch. Before I knew it, I was pulled back, stumbling and falling onto Chanyeol’s lap. I gasped out in surprise and automatically wrapped my arms around his neck to catch my balance. His eyes bore into mine. “Ch-Chan?” I started to try to get up but he held me firm, still without words. “Ch—“ His hand gently cupped my face and my heart pounded so loudly that I was sure he could hear it. He leaned in and my mind when blank. I couldn’t believe this was really happening. Without my permission, my eyes closed and I waited for his lips to finally touch mine. It seemed to take forever. I opened my eyes and found him in the same place, just staring. Tears sprung up in my eyes and I wrenched away from him. “Y/N, I’m so sorry.” He jumped up, grabbed his coat, and stumbled out the door with his shoes only partly on. I fell to the floor and started crying. He must’ve suspected my feelings and was testing me. And now he knew how I felt. There was no way we could go back to the way we were before. I called the only other person who knew about my feelings for Chanyeol, Kyungsoo. “I screwed up,” I sobbed into the phone. “Calm down, Y/N.” I heard him shuffling the phone and a door closing. “What happened?” “Chan knows.” “Knows what?” “How I feel.” “Then why are you crying?” What? “Wh—“ “Just tell me what happened.” So I did. “Then he said sorry and ran out.” Kyungsoo mumbled something, then “Y/N—“ “Soo,” I heard from his side of the line. It sounded like Xiumin. It must’ve been another project night for their mutual class. “Chan’s on the phone. I don’t—“ He cut off and I guess that Kyungsoo must’ve gestured to him. “I should go.” I said quickly. “No,” he immediately shot back. “I’ll be there in ten. Wait for me.” I agreed and we both hung up. Less than ten minutes later, there was a knock on my door. I quickly wiped at my swollen, red eyes which still had tears trickling down and opened the door. “Soo—“ But it wasn’t Kyungsoo, it was Chanyeol. “Ch-Ch-Chanyeol.” He winced when I said his name and I felt the tears build up again. “Why—“ “Why are you crying?” his voice was so quiet and gentle. It tugged at my heartstrings even though he’d just run out on me. “I wonder why,” I shot back with venom I hadn’t intended to give him the satisfaction of hearing. “Y/N.” I stepped back when his hand came up to touch my face. I’d never seen him look so morose. “I’m sorry. I knew I shouldn’t have done that. I knew I was going to ruin our friendship. I’m so sorry. I just…” His expression was unreadable. “I couldn’t help it anymore. I thought… I thought you finally might’ve felt the same.” I couldn’t say anything as my brain tried to process what I was hearing. “I thought… But I ruined everything.” “What… What are you talking about?” “I shouldn’t have tried to kiss you. I’m s—“ “You didn’t try to kiss me, you made me think you were going to and then you made me look like an idiot,” I shot back angrily. The other question I really wanted to ask was lost in my anger. “I—“ “No, actually, it’s my fault. Life isn’t some stupid romance drama.” I rambled on. “Or maybe it is and I’m just the second lead, the second girl. I mean, what idiot falls for her best friend? And you already knew and were just testing me, right? And I failed the damn test. A lifetime of friendship all gone because I was stupid.” He grabbed my shoulders tightly and I stared at him in shock. I tried to pull away, but he was far stronger than me. “Y/N… Did you… did you say that… you fell for me?” “Like you didn’t already know. I know that’s why you were testing me.” “Test—I wasn’t—“ “Liar.” He let go of my shoulders and grabbed my face. “Ch—“ He pressed his forehead against mine. His eyes held mine steadily and I felt his warm breath against my lips. I felt like I was melting into him as I lost myself in his beautiful eyes. My desperate attempts to flee stopped in that second. “I want to kiss you,” he said quietly. “Liar,” I replied breathily. “But I want your permission first. I need to know that you feel the same. Because once I kiss you, I can’t ever go back. I can’t ever forget.” My anger was gone as his words finally sank in. I now understood. He was in love with me. I don’t know for how long, but he was. The heaviness lifted from my heart. I closed my eyes and kissed him. He was still frozen for a fraction of a second before he returned the kiss. It was beautiful. It was desperate. It was perfect. One hand slid around to the back of my head, holding me in place, while the other dropped to my lower back, pulling me against him. His tongue danced with mine and I relished in the taste of him. My hands held onto his shirt like it was a lifeboat in the middle of the ocean, the ship sinking behind me. And in a way it was. Our friendship would never be the same. It sank into the ocean and something more beautiful came of it. It was perfect. Three years later “Chanyeol!!” I screamed, trying to find him. Where did he run off to this time? I turned a corner. “Raawr!” I let out a scream. I smacked him. ChanHee giggled delightedly in Chanyeol’s arms. “Don’t do that!!!” I laughed. “You like it.” He smiled and ran off, our little son bouncing in his arms. “Seriously!” I yelled and ran after them. ChanHee squealed as I chased them. All of a sudden, Chanyeol turned around. He gave me a smirk and grabbed me by the waist with his free hand. “I hope you’re ready for a tickle fight!!!!” he said. “Tick! Tick!” ChanHee shouted, lunging into my arms. I caught him. “Bring it on!!!” And the ‘fighting’ commenced. ************************ And there it is. I hope it was alright. Because it was so rushed, I didn't really have a chance to edit it much and I'm also doing this on my phone. So yeah. But I hope you enjoyed it. Don't know why I like writing angsty fluff so much, lol. By the way, I am trying to also work on my next story so please bear with me on that. Beyond the Surface: The Fascinating World of Fairytale Book Covers and Their Hidden Meanings
Once upon a time, in a world of fairies, witches, and talking animals, lived a genre of literature that enchanted readers of all ages - fairytales. These timeless stories have been passed down from generation to generation, captivating audiences with their magical characters, enchanting settings, and wondrous plotlines. And while the stories themselves have remained largely unchanged over the years, the way they have been presented to readers has evolved. In this article, we will explore the fascinating world of fairytale book covers and their hidden meanings, revealing the secrets and symbols that lie beneath the surface. The Power of Fairytale Book Covers The cover of a book is often the first thing that catches a reader's eye, and fairytale covers are no exception. The intricate designs, rich colors, and fantastical elements of these covers are often what draw readers in, capturing their imaginations and transporting them to far-off lands of magic and wonder. But there is much more to a fairytale book cover than meets the eye. Behind every cover lies a carefully crafted design, filled with hidden symbols and clues that provide a glimpse into the story's themes and motifs. From the use of color to the depiction of characters and settings, fairytale covers offer a treasure trove of hidden meanings waiting to be discovered. The Use of Color in Fairytale Book Covers One of the most striking features of fairytale book covers is the use of color. From the vibrant hues of a Disney classic to the subdued tones of a Grimm's fairytale, color is often used to convey emotion, setting, and mood. For example, a cover featuring a castle bathed in golden light might suggest a story of warmth and hospitality, while a cover featuring a dark forest might suggest danger and foreboding. But color is not just used to set the tone of a fairytale cover. It can also be used to symbolize deeper meanings and themes within the story itself. For example, the use of red in a fairytale cover might suggest passion, love, or danger, while the use of blue might suggest calmness, purity, or sadness. By carefully selecting colors that correspond with the story's themes and motifs, designers can create covers that resonate with readers on a subconscious level, drawing them deeper into the story's world. Depicting Characters and Settings in Fairytale Book Covers The characters and settings depicted on a fairytale book cover can also reveal hidden meanings and themes. For example, a cover featuring a young girl in a red cape might suggest a retelling of Little Red Riding Hood, while a cover featuring a glass slipper might suggest a retelling of Cinderella. But beyond their obvious references to the story's plot, characters and settings can also be used to symbolize deeper meanings. For example, the use of a castle in a fairytale cover might suggest power, wealth, or nobility, while the use of a forest might suggest mystery, danger, or the unknown. Similarly, the use of a witch or fairy might suggest magic, while the use of an animal might suggest innocence or wisdom. By selecting characters and settings that correspond with the story's themes and motifs, designers can create covers that not only catch a reader's eye but also resonate with them on a deeper level. The Evolution of Fairytale Book Covers Over the years, fairytale book covers have undergone a dramatic evolution, reflecting changes in both the publishing industry and society at large. In the early days of fairytale publishing, covers were often simple and unadorned, featuring basic illustrations and minimal text. But as the genre grew in popularity, so too did the demand for more elaborate and eye-catching covers. In the mid-20th century, fairytale covers took on a more stylized and whimsical tone, with artists like Maurice Sendak and Arthur Rackham creating iconic images that are still associated with classic fairytales today. These covers often featured intricate details and fantastical elements, from winged fairies to talking animals, that captured the essence of the stories they depicted. As technology advanced and the publishing industry became more competitive, fairytale book covers began to incorporate more elaborate designs and special effects. In the 1990s and 2000s, covers often featured computer-generated images and flashy fonts, reflecting a trend towards high-tech aesthetics and modern sensibilities. But in recent years, there has been a growing appreciation for more traditional and handmade designs, as readers seek out a sense of nostalgia and connection to the past. Many modern fairytale covers now feature hand-drawn illustrations and watercolor paintings, evoking a sense of whimsy and wonder that harkens back to the genre's roots. In the world of fairytale book covers, there is much more than meets the eye. From the use of color to the depiction of characters and settings, every element of a fairytale cover is carefully crafted to convey hidden meanings and themes. And while the covers themselves have evolved over the years, the enchanting stories they represent have remained timeless and beloved. As a designer of premade book covers, understanding the power of fairytale covers can help you create designs that resonate with readers on a deep and emotional level. By incorporating symbols and themes that correspond with the story's plot and characters, you can create covers that capture the essence of a fairytale and transport readers to a world of magic and wonder.

Awake - Chapter 1
"Y/N, wake up", mother said as she vigorously shook me out of my deep sleep. "Let's get going Y/N this is the last chance you'll get to make any last minute revisions for your dress." Overjoyed for her daughter's wedding, like any mother would be. "I'll be down in a minute, mom" tired from the sleepless nights I've been having these past few weeks. "It-It's near" I though  to myself, butterflies forming in my stomach for the billionth time. "Shake off the doubts Y/N" repeating it in a whisper hoping no one would hear me. Mother's head turning in a matter or seconds. "Did you say something?". "Ahh....nothing, a shower I-I need to take a quick shower" you managed to say with half a forced smile. Hoping she would buy what you were saying. "Okay well, your father and I will be waiting downstairs to eat breakfast. Don't take long" with the sweetest smile plastered on her face. She walked out from your room, you sat at the edge of your messy bed. Dropping your body feet dangling on the edge of the bed, facing the ceiling decorated with a clear glass chandelier. Surrounded by expensive clothes scattered around the floor. "Nothing but the best for my little Y/N" is what your father always said every single time you would ask for anything. You laid there contemplating the chandelier like it had the answers to all your problems. Suddenly a vibration coming from your nightstand brought you back to reality. Lazily dragging yourself to pick up the phone to see 10 missed calls 5 new messages. Emediately opening one in particular. Yoongi Is the future Mrs. Min up yet?? Yoongi Don't forget our date today, I've been looking forwards to it for days Yoongi Since you know I barely get to see you due to work. Y/N Ash...I wish we had more time like we use to ^_^ Yoongi Soon you'll have me all to yourself, who knows you might even grow tired of me... Y/N Pabo that would never happen...ever :3 Yoongi Okay okay joking I was only joking, well I have to get back to work Yoongi Can't afford to get fired if I want to keep daddy's little girl happy, right? Slightly laughing at what you just read. Y/N I'm not like that -_- ... you know that lol. See you later alright <3 Yoongi Yea sure lol You nodded in disapproval of his reply. Yoongi Bye. Yoongi Princess <3 "Hmm..strange" raising a suspicious look towards your phone, yoongi usually calls. "I guess he's  just been to busy to call" you brushed it off and rushed for a quick shower.

6.) The Mortal James "An Escape"
Day Six. In the early morning hours, I quietly closed the hotel door behind me. Trying not to let the lock click too loudly. It was quiet in the hallway, too quiet. I leaned up against my door, taking deep breaths, clutching my back pack closely against me, before heading down the hallway to the fire escape. I figured the elevator wasn't an option at this time. All I had was my backpack to lug but all the while as I was making my great escape, I kept wondering if I should've just brought my suitcase as well. When I got down to the bottom, I stopped and listened for anyone else. I had done this on every floor coming down. I slowly pushed the door open, peeking out, hoping it was clear of all persons but to my surprise, it was the alley. I stepped back and wondered how I ended up here. I had initially thought I would come out near the lobby area because I had pasted the fire escape door on my way to the dining hall. It came to me later that there had been three fire escapes throughout the hotel. I had not realized that two elevators had actually been constructed in the middle of the building. Two fire escapes at either end of the hotel, with one that paralleled the elevators. Such great luck I was having up to that point. I ran down the alley, hoping the taxi cab that I called for would be waiting for me. I went straight out to the curb, close but not too close to the hotel entrance and waited patiently. As the taxi pulled up, I threw my bag in and handed the taxi driver the address and directions. He looked at for a long time, shook his head, looked back me and said "Prendre un bus...C'est trop loin j'ai" “What… what does that mean?” I asked impatiently, trying to decipher it in my head. From the sound of my english question, the taxi driver realized I probably didn’t understand, rolled his eyes and said it again so I could understand. I just know he said something about taking a bus. “Too far out of city, you need to take bus. I’ll take you to bus station. Okay?” I nodded quickly, “Yes, yes that will be fine.” As we drove away, I tried to hide my face, even sitting low and pushing back hard against the seat. I think I was sweating bullets at this point. I know the taxi driver had no idea what was going on or that I was trying to make an escape but Jesus… he drove right in front of the hotel. As we got to the bus station, he handed the card with Jeans’ name on it and address, telling me to give it to the clerk and they'll give me a ticket. I thanked him and rushed into the bus station. There was a line. I didn't know what to do. I hoped I wasn't being followed or being watched. I looked around, no one batted an eyelash at me so I figured I was okay. But still, I had to be careful. I took deep breaths and tried to relax. The line got shorter. As soon as I got to desk, I handed the card over, saying I needed a bus ticket to that place. The attendant smiled. “What takes you to the countryside?” She asked. Her English was clear, then I realized she wasn't from there, “It's beautiful country. That estate is very popular. A lot of visitors go there.” “You don't sound like you're from here.” “I'm not, I'm from a little town in Arizona” she laughed, “Where are you from?” “New York. I met an older gentlemen on the plane coming over. He invited me to come out.” I felt relieved for some reason. Maybe just meeting someone from the States, getting as though the last couple days were a dream. A very bad dream. “You're all set. Usually most tourists stay a day or two but I left your return time and date open. I hope you enjoy your stay.” She smiled handing my ticket to me. I thanked her. I waited in another line to get on the bus. I must've looked anxious or something because a man standing in front of me as if I needed to use the restroom, at least that's what I think he said. Damn, I should've paid more attention in French class. Brushing up on my French wouldn't have hurt either. I just shook my head at him. Finally. I found a seat and held on tightly to bag. Thankfully there weren't too many people getting on. I was able to sit alone. I was even thankful when the bus finally started to pull away from the depot. As the buildings have way to open country, breathed a sigh of relief. I was feeling comfortable enough that I feel asleep. A mistake I shouldn't have done at a time like this. Previous Card 5 ... flower boy next door chapter 2
Hoseok POV I woke up earlier than usual because noona is coming over later tonight so I have to clean the apartment and have it ready for when she gets here. I’ve been cleaning for almost 2 hours now and I’m so tired maybe I should get something to eat before continuing on cleaning the place up. As I was ready to leave and get something to eat my phone rang and it was noona “Morning noona what’s up?” “Morning. I'm just calling to let you know that I’ll be bringing some food that mom is forcing me to bring it to you because she’s worried that you might not be eating properly so she’s forcing me to feed you” said noona joking ‘I may skip some meals but not all the time. And I'm sure I won’t die from skipping a meal or two. I don’t understand why mom has to worry so much I'm an adult I'm sure I can take care of myself’ I thought to myself “Umm ok just let me know when you get here that way I can help you carry it. By the way noona what time are you coming?” “Oh, I’ll be there about the same time you’ll be getting home from work if not a bit later. So like around 5 latest 6” “Ok just call me when you get here ok” “Ok bye see you later” And with that I ended the call and was about to open the door when I hear her voice. That voice that melts my heart every time I hear it. It was getting softer and softer which meant that she was getting further away. I opened my door and quickly left and follow the voice but not too close so it doesn’t look like I'm stalking her. I was getting closer and closer to her and I caught myself smiling whenever she talked. Until I heard her say something that made my smile fall instantly “I'm going to tell him unni; I'm going to tell him that I love him but that I’ll be putting an end to it so he doesn’t have to feel pressured to give me an answer” ‘What!!! Love??? She loves someone else’ “Are you sure? I mean he lives next door to us so if you tell him how you feel and then later see each other wont thing be you know…. Uncomfortable” “Yeah but I’ve made up my mind and I'm not backing out now” “Besides I can always try to get with jimin I heard he’s single and looking for someone” ‘He lives in this building? Ho-who can it be? Is it someone I know? Wait she said she’ll give up on him so I-…… jimin? She already has someone else in mind to help her with her broken heart’ “Yeah and a player too. y/n there’s plenty of fish in the sea just not my brother ok. He’s too much of a player and will end up hurting you trust me. Mind as well just keep on crushing on Mr. pretty face” ‘I can be that fish for you and not that player. Listen to your friend y/n. don’t pick a player please’ “So what I'm hearing is that you don’t to be my sister-in-law then?” I said playfully “What!! NO!!! Don’t get me wrong I would love to have you marry into our family but jimin is the problem. And sorry it’s a force of habit calling him like that. Ohhhh I know! How about you marry my cousin he’s a good looking guy and he’s very sweet” ‘Never mind don’t listen to her she’s a bad friend. I can’t lose you without even having you please. Can’t I be one of your choices no can’t I be your only choice? I was about to run to her and tell her to look at me. To take instead of that jimin jerk or that idiot that’s breaking her heart. As I was about to go after her she, she was gone I couldn’t find her anywhere. I had just lost my last chance to ask her look at me and no one else. To tell her I could be that one fish she may be looking for. I missed my chance to tell her that I loved her and that there was no one else for me but her. ‘Why am I always one step behind? Why am I always one step too late for love? Why can’t I be one step ahead why am I always late when it comes to happiness. Should I just give up on her? I don’t even think she knows I live next to her. And she would probably never fall for a guy like me anyways' Y/n pov It's been a really slow day today. Not a lot of customers and to top it off unni got really sick and had to go home early now I'm left to walk by myself today after my shift ‘great thanks unni’ *closing time* I was saying goodbye to my manager that had to stay until late today to close up the cafe. “Bye Sarah unni see you tomorrow” I said making my way to the front door “Bye y/n-shi see you tomorrow and take care of lily. Tell her to come back in a week and if she needs more time to rest to let me know ok” she said waving bye to me “Ok I will, bye” and with that I left. But it wasn't long until I felt someone behind me. At first I didn't pay much attention but the figure started to get closer and closer. I started to quickening my steps, I turn the figure would turn I stop it would stop. I panic and took a wrong turn and walk right into a dead end ‘just my luck’ I thought. I stopped and look for the figure but I couldn't see it. A hint of relief washed over me when suddenly the only light bulb that was working went off making me panic again when I heard steps coming closer and closer. It was so dark I couldn't see who or what was making its way towards me “D-d-don’t come any closer I - I have a weapon and I won't hesitate to use it” I said gathering the little bit of courage I had in me. But my warning didn't work because the steps were getting louder as it was coming closer and then silence all I could hear was my heart banging against my chest ‘is it gone? Should I run for it?’ “*giggles* I know you don't have a weapon, you never do because you're too nice of a person to be carrying that kind of things around come one you wouldn't even dared to hurt a fly forget hurting a human” said the guy “H-how do you know?” “Come on y/n let's go I won't hurt you I promise” he said making its way towards me “How do you know my mane? Have you been stalking me all this time and just waited for an opportunity like this one to kidnap me? Huh is that what you're doing?” *laughing* please let me know what you think about this and please be honest i would be really happy if you do thank you ^_^ if you wish to be remove or tagged on please leave a comment thanks Tagging the beauties: A. @aliendestina @AmberRelynn @AmberFranco @AbbyRamey @addri @Anime4life20 @AbbyRoscoe B. @BBxGD @BTS34443 @Bizzycx @BridgetJara @BTSxEXO C. @chisom756 D. @DeyaniraEstrada @DominiqueLewis @divanicola05 @Desybabyyx3 @DanaAmoi @DominiqueLewis E. @EireneJoseph @elizabeth1234 @Eliortiz13 F. @FalseLove @faith92 G. @GossamoKewen95 @garanoxgrace H. @HayleyYates I. @IsoldaPazo J. @janessaakemi @Jessicalista @Jaysbae13 @Jinnyrod3 @JaxomB @JadeOwens @JinsPrincess @janellym123 @jessicalnichols @JessicaFigueroa @jenxchan @jocelynleosmusi K. @kennaxx @KassieXiong @KwonOfAKind @kpopandkimchi @KaitlynHewitt @Kira9404 L. @lalaMF @leelee12 @loftonc16 @Lexxcisco M. @MrsJungHoseok @mellyortiz @Michelle305 @MsLoyalHeart @MichelleRosa @matty0203 @may99 @marshalledgar @mellyortiz @MariaMontoya1 @maysaarah @MnM1264 @Mavis2478 N. @nikkynoel @narutobandgeek @NicoleFireRose O. @Orihemay P. @Princess2425 @poojas @PrincessUnicorn @ParkHwaYoung @PatriciaS Q.
