A small smile curled Jimin's lips as the young woman laughed delightedly with her friends. The small group of three had been together since their first year of schooling and Jimin didn't know what she would do without them. Many didn't take time to look at their small group because all three of them were bigger than the rest of their classmates. Jimin knew though that it was easy for all three of them to lose weight but her two friends refused to do so, not wanting to fall to what they called the standard beauty practices.
Jin was a very busy young woman though, always helping out at her parents store and never seemed to have time to hang out with her friends outside of school. On the other hand Jungmin just preferred to stick to being with her friends and away from the rest of the school, preferring to hide her bunny smile from everyone other than Jin and Jimin. No one could say that the group weren't close to each other, many thought that the group was at times too close to each other. The three knew things about each other that no one else knew, like that Jimin and Jin both had a thing for a guy who was older than them or that Jungmin was afraid at times to go home to her parents, but this is not where our story starts. This starts with the day that changed Jimin for life and caused her to leave.
"So did you guys hear about the dance competition coming up?" Jimin asked bouncing over to her friends, ponytail bouncing.
Jin and Jungmin looked at each other, before shaking their heads in unison. They knew how much their friend loved to dance, especially in front of large crowds. A small smile curled Jin's lips as she laughed softly at the offended look on Jimin's face at their unknowing. Jungmin shrugged slightly from where she sat on Jin's left while Jimin huffed and sat down across from the pair. The three slipped into a quiet conversation as they waited for the lunch bell to ring, releasing them.
"I was thinking of auditioning." Jimin admitted shyly, playing with the end of her ponytail. "I don't know if I will get in though."
It was as Jin opened her mouth to scold the younger woman that Yoongi appeared. He sneered at them, having heard their conversation and shook his head despondently. Namjoon seemed to teleport and appear at the others side, his hands shoved into the pockets of his pants as the stared blankly at the three heavier set girls.
"Like they would accept a fat girl like you." Yoongi sneered as he locked gazes with Jimin.
Everyone around them froze at the words, many looking at the boy in shock as Jimin stiffened. She stared at him blankly, much like the males friends was staring at them. Jin and Jungmin both rose from their seats, anger written on their faces as Jimin shook her head slightly.
"What makes you think you can dictate my life Min Yoongi?" Jimin demanded, standing from her seat to glare up at the taller male.
"I just know for a fact that companies do not accept fat girls like you Park Jimin." Yoongi snorted.
Jimin shook at his words anger rolling off her small frame as she jabbed a finger into the other's chest, tears starting to well up in her eyes. She couldn't believe that someone could be so cruel to someone else. It hurt that the one she liked was saying this to her, she needed to get away from him and his words.
"You will pay for this Min Yoongi, I will make sure of it!" She growled, tears spilling down her cheeks as she looked at the smug male.
He looked at her imperiously, smug smile curling his lips as he looked at the chubby girl. He shook his head as the girl cried and took off running her friends following behind her, casting glares back at him.
"Was that really necessary Yoongi?" Namjoon asked his friend with a raised eyebrow.
"She shouldn't be getting her hopes up in first place." Yoongi snorted.
Jimin scrubbed her face furiously, trying to get rid of the tears that had stained her cheeks. Her two best friends appeared in the girls bathroom behind her, both wearing solemn looks. Jungmin stepped forward and wiped off her face as Jin paced furious, making a tiny smile curl Jimin's lips, despite the anger she still had.
"I can't believe that guy!" Jin growled, shoulders shaking as she turned to face Jimin.
"Just stop Jin, there isn't any way we can change his mind on the matter." Jungmin sighed as she brushed a dark brown lock behind Jimin's ear.
The youngest of the three gave Jimin a wide bunny smile as the youngest pulled the other into a quick hug. Many had no idea how loving the youngest of them was because no one took the time to actually get to know the group. Jin was the fiercely protective oldest one, also like another mother to the other two. Jimin was the dreamer, the one with big plans for the future. Jungmin was the protected one, the youngest, and the one who was unsure of her place in life. She didn't know what she wanted to do with her life just yet, and the other two couldn't blame her one bit. The other two weren't even sure what they wanted to do, but at this point they all knew that they wanted to get back at the one who made Jimin so sad.
"What are we going to do about Yoongi?" Jin asked after a moment of silence.
Jimin pondered that, head tilting this way and that as she thought. She frowned, tapping a finger off of her chin before turning to the other two.
"I'm going back to Busan." She said suddenly, making the other two splutter at her words.
"What do you mean Jimin?" Jin asked nervously.
"I'm going to back to Busan where I can train my body without worrying about anything." Jimin said, hands clenched into fists as her sides. "I'm going to show him where he can put his criticism when I come back."
Jungmin frowned and laid her hands on the others shoulders as the youngest spoke softly.
"Are you sure about this?" She asked the other softly.
Jimin nodded resolutely, fire appearing in her eyes as she made up her mind. Jin and Jungmin shared a look before sighing softly, both of their shoulders slumping as they both nodded.
"Then we will hold down the fort here." Jin said smiling at Jimin. "We will both get into shape so that when you come back you're not facing him alone."
"Jin..." Jimin trailed off in shock as Jungmin nodded her head in agreement.
Jimn threw her arms around her friends necks and sobbed softly, head bowed.
"I don't know what I would do without the two of you." Jimin sobbed.
Jin made a quiet sound, rubbing one of her hands up and down Jimin's back with a small smile. Jungmin laughed softly and patted Jimin's head in amusement before the pair pulled back to look at their teary eyed friend. They watched as she pulled her phone out of the pocket of her jacket and dialed her parents number quietly.
"Mom? I want to go back to Busan." Jimin said softly, glancing at her friends for support.
