If the photos in her Instagram account provide much testament, Naomi Uno and her husband are really amazing cooks. So much so, their beloved cats have developed an extremely strange habit of watching them eat what they've made! The cats often follow the smell... ...get up on the kitchen table... ...and stare. Just stare. No attempts at swiping anything from the table. (Okay, at least not every time.) This habit became so frequent and strange that Naomi decided to document it on her Instagram account (@naomiuno). To date, her feline friends have helped their owner rake in over 42,000 followers from all over the world. I mean, how could you not relate to their response to such epic meals? The couple has since gotten a little creative with their set-up. And even spruced their shots up with brand new plating. But no matter which fancy new things they (literally) bring to the table... The Sushi Burrito Is Your New Favorite Food.
So you love burritos. And sushi is also absolutely your jam. But have you ever thought to combine them together in the majesty that is the sushi burrito? Probably not. Well, at least not until now. The sushi burrito is one of those beautiful moments when fusion food goes right. It's got the jam-packedness of a massive taco shop burrito, but has also got all the ingredients you love from your favorite sushi rolls. (And thanks to this vid currently trending on YouTube, we're all going to learn how to make it!) First, you prep the veggies by creating thin ribbons with a vegetable peeler. Then, boom! Pop out that avocado and slice it up! Mix some mayo and hot chili flakes into crab meat for a little zip. Then prepare your (fresh!) salmon with a nice, sharp blade. Garnish your sushi rice with some toasted black sesame seeds. Now it's time to get that all on a flat sheet of nori. ALL OF IT. Extend the length of the nori by overlapping a second sheet. And then there's the ever-so-anticipatory ROLL!!!!!! Wrap it up like you would a traditional burrito. And slice to check out the beautiful sushi burrito-ness results! So I just learned about something cool today called Kobushi Shindan. Have any of you heard about it? Kobushi Shindan (literally, 'fist analysis' in Japanese) is an ancient samurai personality test. All you need to do to take it is make a fist! So make a fist, any fist, and find out what your personal fist form says about you! Fist #1: Your thumb rests on your index finger. People with this fist shape tend to be natural leaders. You like helping others and, likewise, appreciate being leaned on for support. This Teeny Tiny Video Might Have Ended An Idol's Career
Netizens are absolutely insane and its so sad. Here's what happened to Wooshin of UP10TION, the member that has been missing from 2 promotion cycles since December of 2016. This is Wooshin: This is Somi: This is Wooshin and Somi: Somi (from IOI) was in UP10TION's MV for White Night, and has MC'ed alongside Wooshin for various shows like MTV The Show. They even did a duet together: One short clip from their MCing, though, may have ended or severely hurt Wooshin's career. Starts at 0:17 1. He motions to Somi asking her if she believes in Santa where he seems to be brushing her chest with his forearm. She takes a slight step back but comes back again even closer. 2. He does a similar motion again, but this time doesn't touch her and is asking for a handshake (which makes sense with what he's saying in the clip) Since that small clip, netizens have exploded in rage, calling for justice for Somi after being sexually harassed by Wooshin. Now, if this was on purpose I have no sympathy for Wooshin, but based on the evidence it didn't seem intentional. They literally got a forensics team involved, it was that insane. That doesn't mean that Somi can't feel harassed though. Even if it wasn't intentional, in that moment if she felt fear or stress she totally deserves to, I'm not saying that Somi is in any way guilty here, nor am I saying Wooshin is innocent. I just think the way the netizens handled it is insane (rather than having the companies work it out) and now Wooshin has disappeared for nearly a year. It would make more sense if Wooshin or Somi's company came out and explained what is going on, considering the people behind the show they hosted said that there was nothing going on between them... It was announced in June that because of this issue and the mental toll it took on him, Wooshin would not take part in the next comeback. Seems he didnt make it back for this one either :/ I just hope, if he is innocent, that he is able to recover and make a rebound with UP10TION cause tbh he was looking like the star of that group and was really helping boost their popularity. Coming from an American standpoint, where our entertainers are paid staggering amounts of money, you might think it would be similar for Anime creators, considering how popular the medium is. Considering the amount of work and pressure these people are under, it's a little disheartening to see how little they earn for their efforts. So, maybe rethink your foray into the industry for now...

My Week-Long Japanese Adventure!
I just got back from a week long solo adventure in Japan! Here are the videos I've made documenting my trip^^ 1. Koyasan to Kyoto I went from plane to train to cable car to bus to get to the GORGEOUS cemetery on top of Mt. Koya in Japan. It took over 3 hours to get there but it was so worth it! I stayed there for one say then headed down to Osaka to check out a really fun cafe. Then I ended the day getting to my AirBnb in Kyoto :) Here are some photos: 2. Katsuoji Temple and Fried Maple Leaves I visited a temple in Mino-o that is dedicated to these really cool Japanese dolls called daruma. So I was sifting through the dark corners of the Internet today when I discovered this majestic video. YouTuber SeikinTV just took one for the team and did something beyond our wildest childhood dreams: He took a bath in a tub full of rainbow water beads. Like, he sprinkled them in there. Eiichiro Oda and Hajime Isayama Show Support After Kumamoto Earthquakes
If you missed the news lately, the Kumamoto Prefecture in Kyushu, Japan was recently hit with a series of earthquakes, the foreshock on April 14th and the mainshock on April 16th. The earthquakes reached a magnitude of 7 on the Richter scale and have devastated the communities of the Prefecture and surrounding area, including as far away as the ลŒita prefecture. 48 people have been confirmed dead, while thousands more have been hospitalized with injury. Over 40,000 people have been evacuated from their homes as a result of the quakes. The image you see above is a message penned by Eiichiro Oda, the mangaka responsible for One Piece. Kumamoto is Oda's hometown and so he felt personally attached to plights of the people there. The official One Piece twitter tweeted that image of a hand-drawn Luffy and Kumamon, the official mascot of the prefecture. Here's what it says in English: There was a big earthquake in Kumamoto. (all of Kyushu) I was born in Kumamoto, it's my hometown. To those who were greatly affected by the damage, I hope you're doing well from the bottom of my heart. I was able to directly contact my family and friends, but they're all very scared. But they're doing their best. Everyone I got in touch with said things to put me at ease. They're so tough!! But there is a limit to how long people can steel themselves. Before that thread breaks, I want to calm them down somehow. It's crucial that adults don't worry their kids. Most of all, I want to make kids laugh! If they laugh, adults can do their best! It's still hard now for ordinary people to lend a hand, but I will definitely help with the relief effort. Stay strong, however you can!! Oda was not the only member of the One Piece team to speak up in support of the earthquake victims, however. The voice actors for the Straw Hat Pirates also lent their voices to support Kyushu. Ikue Ohtani (Chopper), Kazuya Nakai (Zoro), Akemi Okamura (Nami), Yuriko Yamaguchi (Robin), Kazuki Yao (Franky), Kappei Yamaguchi (Usopp), and Mayumi Tanaka (Luffy) each have promised to do their bests to help the victims in some way or at least encourage them to stay strong and happy. Each of them signed the board above as a gesture of support for the struggling civilians. The Strawhats weren't the only anime/manga stars to lend their voices to the effort, though. Hajime Isayama, the mangaka for Attack on Titan is also from close to the affected region: Hita in ลŒita Prefecture. Isayama also contributed a drawing as support for the victims. It shows Eren, Mikasa and Armin with Kumamon and Mejiron, ลŒita Prefecture's bird mascot. Isayama wrote on his blog accompanying the image: "When times have been tough for me, even under very harsh circumstances, I'm reminded of manga heroes who fight for their lives, and I remember that they toughed it out. I drew the illustration with those feelings." Though these artists can't do a whole lot in terms of helping on the ground level with the victims, they have chosen to lend their support in the best ways they have available to them; their art. It shows a passion for their homes and their people, and the will of the nation that rallies strongly around their own in times of crisis.
