RUSH, a look at F1 in the 70s
Ron Howard got a thumbs up from the FIA on his new movie which we can watch sometime in September. For me, it is a welcome change from the Hollywood madness of Fast and Furious.
Rush is based upon the epic story of Nikki Lauda versus James Hunt in the 1970s.
This is the golden age of motor racing, where debonair drivers smoked cigarettes before setting off for a round of racing. The cars were not any safer too, devoid of the fancy electronics and safety systems of today's cars. You could end your life on the track just by getting into one.
