2 New K-Drama Recommendations
Here are two drama's I've recently started that I highly recommend! [Rugal] Main Cast: Choi Jin Hyuk, Park Sung Woong, Jo Dong Hyuk, Jung Hye In, Kim Min Sang, Park Sun Ho, Han Ji Wan Episodes: 16 (1 Hour & 10 Minute Episodes) - Currently Airing Genre: Action, Thriller, Drama, Sci-Fi Other Major Tags: Adapted from a Webtoon Synopsis: Kang Ki Beom (Choi Jin Hyuk) is an elite police officer whose attempt to bring down Argos, a nationwide criminal organization, results in a group of masked assailants from Argos killing his beloved wife and child and cutting out both of his eyes. Kang wakes up in a hospital only to find himself accused of murdering his family members. The NIS then approaches him with an offer to become a member of Rugal, a special team organized by the NIS. He receives two artificial eyes with Rugal's biotechnology built into them and with them gains unique new abilities with which to take down criminal organizations. Kang Ki Beom and Rugal set out on a mission to wipe out Argos. (Sources: Asianwiki, Soompi) My Comments: If you liked the movies Deadpool (in a sense that he gains his abilities through other ways than just being born with them) or idk any super hero movie really you may like this drama. It gives off that kind of feel. Kind of like a dystopian theme but not really. Only two episodes are out so far and while not much has been revealed about most of the cast it still has potential to be a really good drama! [365: Repeat the Year] Main Cast: Lee Joon Hyuk, Nam Ji Hyun, Kim Ji Soo Episodes: 24 (30 Minute Episodes) - Currently Airing Genre: Thriller, Drama, Mystery, Fantasy Other Major Tags: Adapted from a Novel, Time Travel, Suspense, Detective, (while not listed I think it's a bit sci-fi-ish because of the time traveling) Synopsis: I have only watche 4 of the episodes so far. It's very intriguing. It brings up the point almost every time travel show/movie/drama would bring up, if you change something in the past then it's like a domino effect of stuff changing. Only 4 episodes (2 hour length episodes if you will) and already 4 of the characters have died. But not everything is as it seems (I believe anyways.) This drama is definitely worth checking out! always knows how to relax. Though he is happy at first to have the chance to go back in time by one year and "reset" his life, he begins to search for the truth when a series of mysterious events befall on the group of people he goes back in time with. Fantasy K-Drama Couples!
If the chemistry is not right in a kdrama, the romance is not going to work. When watching a mismatched kdrama couple, it's tempting to think which actor you might have cast instead. Why did they choose that actress and not the other obvious choice? Sometimes actors are cast for their star power, sometimes because the scriptwriter asked for them. Occasionally, a couple is cast because they look good together, but when acting, they lack that spark. You can never tell what will work out on screen. But it is fun to imagine who might be great together. Here are a few kdrama couples that could really work: Yoon Eun Hye and Ok Taecyeon: They did a beer commercial together and looked great as the idol manager and detective. They both have the same intense good looks. She's four years older than him, but why should a few years matter when you're casting a drama? Yoon Eun Hye looked great with all her drama co-stars. She made a great couple with Gong Yoo in "Coffee Prince," Joo Ji Hoon in "Princess Hours," Woon Sang Hyun in "My Fair Lady," Kang Ji Hwan in "Lie to Me," and Park Yoo Chun in "Missing You." She even had a short cameo appearance as the former girlfriend of Lee Min Ho in "Personal Taste." Taecyeon has not had that many small screen girlfriends, only Suzy in "Dream High" and almost Moon Geun Young in "Cinderella's Sister," but Yoon Eun Hye could show him how it's done. Next suggestion is Kim Sun Ah and Jung Il Woo. Okay, he's 25 and she is 37, but she starred with Lee Jang Woo in "I Do, I Do" and he is 26. There must be some way she could be in the same drama with Jung Il Woo. She has romanced Hyun Bin in "My Lovely Kim Sam Soon" and Lee Dong Wook in "Scent of a Woman." Jung Il Woo has been matched up with Lee Chung Ah in "Flower Boy Ramen Shop," longed for Han Ga In in "The Moon Embracing The Sun" and lost Nam Gyu Ri in "49 Days." Please, kdrama producers, make this happen. And finally, how about Suzy Bae and Lee Min Ho? After she finishes fighting her way through "Gu Family Book," she could become Lee Min Ho's sidekick in another "City Hunter" type action drama. She's 18 and he is 25, but she is pretty tough. She stuck it out in that tough performing arts high school in "Dream High" and held her own in "Big." She has enough spirit to defeat the most arrogant character he could play. Goo Jun Pyo, beware. So far, he has been matched up with Son Je Jin in "Personal Taste," Go Hye Sun in "Boys Over Flowers," Park Min Young in "City Hunter," Kim Hee Sun in "Faith" and his new drama, "The Heirs" will feature Park Shin Hye as his love interest. credit:kpopstarz
