First Time in Korea
This is my first time writing a fanfic and I'm not a writer, so have mercy on me. Summary: You go to Korea with your friend, Julie, and your younger sister, Jasmine, to meet up with your future-brother-in-law, that serves in the army. You only have a week to enjoy South Korea, what can possibly happen in one week? β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€” I get on the airplane heading to South Korea, Julie and Jasmine aren't sitting next to me because I HAD to get the cheapest seats. Julie was sitting with a granny and her grandson; who looks to be same age as her, since they are chatting a lot. Jasmine is sitting next to a young mother with her 8 year-old son. I look around seeing people still trying to settle down, I see a short woman trying to put her luggage up in the cabin. I get up, thinking might as well use my 5”9 stature to some use. I grab her luggage and put it away, I earn a smile and a thank you from the woman, I give her a smile as a return. I go back to my seat to sit down, when I see a young man sitting near the window seat. I lean over to tap him on his shoulder, my face is close to his face, I can see myself in his eyes and then he smiles at me. I'm taken aback by his cute face but then I recover my composure and I ask him, "I'm sorry, can I see your ticket? I think I have the window seat." He says, " Oh, I'm sorry. I like the window seat, so I can rest my head on it." I think about it and I say, "That's okay, you can have it." I get nudged by some really tall guy. "Umm, excuse me, can I get to my seat, please?" I stand tall and he's still taller than me, he's got to be at least, 6 feet 3. "Sorry," I said, "I'm going to sit down now." I'm sitting between two guys, for at least 19 hours, my lucky day. The window guy has his earbuds in and so does the other guy. Leaves me nothing to do but to read a book. After the Pilot informs us of the take-off, it's 5 am, and I'm already tired. I hate being cold but since both guys were next to me, they radiated so much warmth, that I was catching myself dozing off. I just couldn't fight it anymore, so I brought down, moomoo. My stuffed cow that I've had for 9 years. I made it my neck pillow. I was dreaming that I was back home on a summer night in my bed, surrounded by my pillows. I was woken up by the turbulence and I looked up groggily to see an amused face looking at me. "If you keep looking at me like that, I might just kiss you..." The really tall guy arches his eyebrow and I look down and I see that I'm holding his left arm between my arms and his hand is between my knees. I gasped and let go of it all together, and I see him rubbing his hands together, to get his blood circulation going. I peer up, to look at him. 'He's not that bad looking, although he looks pretty mad when he looks serious.' That's what I was thinking, when he turns to look at me. I quickly look away and I blush because I thought for a second that he heard me. "You want a picture, it'll last longer." He says jokingly. I said no thanks and he clutched his heart and pretended that he was hurt, which made me laugh and he said, "You look cute when you smile like that." I said, "Thank you for the compliment... umm, can I ask you something personal?" "Sure." "How tall are you?" He looks at me like, is that what you wanted to ask?. But then he says, "I'm 6"2 and you?" I told him I was 5”9. "Wow, your pretty tall. In Korea, many girls are around 5"5. Oh by the way, my name is Kris. What's yours?" "My name is Jinny," I said, "it can be pronounced as Jin-Hee or Jin-Yi." β€œHow old are you?" He asks me. "I"m 23, I was born on December 4th, 1992." "So you are actually 25 in Korea. Chanyeol is 25, too, I think? lemme check." I looked at him confused and he leans over me and nudges the sleeping window-guy. He looks up and asks, "What, Kris?" "When’s your birthday?" "I'm 25, my birthday is November 27, 1992." I gasped and both of them just looked at me. Kris asked me if I was ok? " Yeah, I'm fine but," I point at Chanyeol, "I was supposed to be born that day, but my mother said I was so lazy that I stayed another week and they had to push me out because I could have died." Chanyeol looks at me and gives me a cute smile and says, "Then, that makes me your Oppa." Kris looks at Chanyeol and then at me and says,"I'm her Oppa too." They were looking at me to see who I would call Oppa first. As I opened my mouth to mediate, the intercom says that we will be arriving in 5 hours and what the expectations on the flight will entail. β€œI should get some sleep, that way I'll be able to function when we land." They both nodded. I looked towards Julie and Jasmine, they are both knocked out cold. I lay my head against the head rest and close my eyes, drifting to sleep, I hear someone say, "Watch out, Jinny, I don't know what I'll do if you hug me like last time." Once it's out of view, I walk back in the house and look at the magazine. I pull out my pictures and put it in the coffee table drawer. I make a mental note of what the gift basket has: a 500 gift card to a brand store, wine, Gala tickets, magazine, assorted chocolates, and a Thank You card from Ricky and the gang. I think about the Gala and I pick up the tickets, I read over the fine print and it says I can bring a plus one and what the dress code is. I'm thinking about who to bring, excluding Kris, when my phone pings. I go grab my phone from the floor and look at the sender. I have an epiphany on who to bring to the Gala tonight. ********************************************************* I walk around feeling and looking lost, trying to find the entrance of where the Gala is being held at in the Hilton Hotel. I find the lobby and I ask the attendant and he gives me directions, I thank him and head towards the french doors. I grab my phone and check on my messages, waiting for Kris to text me and my plus one to let me know if they are here. The Gala has started 5 minutes ago, I keep following the directions and look down at my gown. I debated between 3 outfits at the mall on which one I should pick: I chose the first one because I thought it looked good on me. It is very comfortable and easy to walk in. I used the gift card to pay for it and bought accessories too. I look like I actually belong here which makes me less nervous. I finally found the entrance and I see the entrance of the Gala. You can tell how fancy the Gala is by the guests walking in. I text Ricky that I'm here and I receive a text from my plus one, letting me know that in 5 minutes they'll be here. As I wait, I check the interview that Kris's manager linked me to. I don't see the interviewer, Kris is facing the camera and I hear the interviewer talking and asking questions. "How are the members doing with their English?" asks the female interviewer. I thought to myself why is she talking about the members if she interviewing Kris, is she stupid. I hear him say in a disguised annoyed voice, "As of right now, I wouldn't know since I'm not with them at the moment." He leans back a bit in the chair. "Of course you wouldn't since you're in EXO-M and don't need to speak English in China." she gives a small laugh. "So I've heard you've been casted for some roles in the movie industry in China, is that true?" "I've had offers but nothing concrete yet." he smirks, like if he caught the trap she laid out. "I've also heard you have a girlfriend," Kris stiffens slightly. "Is she a singer like you or is she an actor?" Obviously the interviewer is sniffing around and trying to get a scoop. My heart is racing because I don't want him to fall for the trap but also anxious if he's going to tell them that he has one and it's not their business. "I don't have the time for a girlfriend since my group have many scheduled appearances. If I had a girlfriend, it wouldn't work because of my work life and I wouldn't want her to feel second place." My heart felt crushed but my logic told me that's not what he really means. He's trying to deflect his relationship with me from the reporters and media. That's what I'm telling myself so I won't feel bad. The interviewer started asking about his ideal type. As I listened to him about going public, I knew I was being too susceptible to the interviewer's questions. I feel an arm go around my waist and I squeaked from being startled. I look around to see the person and I squeal and hug the perpetrator. "What took you so long, Julie!" I look her over and smile at her outfit that's so like her. Clean and simple. "Sorry, it's so confusing that I had to stop a lot of times to ask directions," Looking around her in a star-struck awe kind of way. I smile, happy to know that I won't have to suffer this night alone. I link her arm with mine, "I'm just glad I don't have to go stag." I wiggle my eyebrows at her and she laughs. I show my invitation to the host and they pointed me to where my table is. As we head over to the buffet line, we talk about the people that we recognize as actors and singers. I feel like people are watching me. I look around discreetly to see if I'm imagining things. I see many people looking at me. I whisper to Julie, "Do I look weird? I'm being stared at and want to know if I have something on my face." Julie looks me up and down and focuses on my face for a moment too long and says, "If I didn't know you, I'd be staring at you too." My eyebrows raised, she continues, "You look very hot and if I wasn't straight, I'd ask you out." She giggles. I blush and thank her for her compliment. I'm glad that I have her with me because I wouldn't have the nerve to mingle. We have plates and I filled mine to the brim with hors d'oeuvre but Julie chose 5 Caramelized Onion Tarts With Apples. Onions with apples, I cringed at the thought of eating it. Julie manuevered us to the table that was unoccupied and I sat down next to her left. I dug in as ladylike as possible. I kept surveying the floor to see if I can recognize anyone here. As I finished my plate, Julie catched me up on her visit from Korea til now. She's got a new job as a receptionist in a boutique and is still talking to Suho. That last bit of news had me quirk my eyebrow up and asked her how is it going with him. She told me that they are just talking, nothing serious and I gave her that don't-play-it-off-look. I was about to ask her something about LDR, when Ricky comes into view with his date following him. *********************************************************************************** Sorry for the short Chapter but I'm having trouble typing. My head resting on his arm and his arm resting across my waist. Our bodies are facing the TV, watching a Korean Movie. During the movie, I feel my eyes drooping. I look over my shoulder and see Kris already asleep. I lean forward to grab the remote on the coffee table and shut off the TV. I place the blanket, that's around our legs, closer to our waist level. Kris's body heat is enough to keep me warm but I'm not sure if I'm enough for him. I turn towards his body, placing my head on his chest and I feel him embrace me. I hear his heartbeat pulse steadily, bringing me to a lull and I feel the darkness surround me and fall into a blissful dream. The next morning isn't so blissful and I'll tell you why, once I try to reassure Kris and calm him down. ***************************************************************************** I woke up first and lifted my head to see peacefully sleeping, so I got out of his embrace, careful not to wake him. I went to the bathroom to do my morning ritual of brushing my teeth, face, and putting moisturizer. I know that if I took a shower, I might wake him up. I'll just prepare breakfast and take one after he wakes. I tiptoe across the living room where Kris is sleeping in and step in the kitchen. I grab bread and put it in the toaster. I open the fridge carefully and grab 6 eggs, cheese, ham, and some veggies. I start the stove to high and put a pan filled with 3 tablespoon of oil and turn to the counter to start cutting and dicing the veggies. I crack open the eggs and scramble it inside a bowl and add the veggies. I cut the ham in small pieces and throw it in the bowl. I grab the toast and put it on a plate. I pour the bowl into the pan and start to fry the eggs. After it's thoroughly cooked, I put it on the plate with the toast. I go to my coffee maker and make a Cuban espresso and I make a hot chocolate for me. I put the plate of food and espresso on the counter where the high chair is located. I leave my cup next to his plate. I go to the living room and see Kris is not there. I go to the bathroom and knock. I hear him grunt. I giggle. Not a morning person, is he? "Hey, breakfast is served, so if you don't want it to be cold, you should hurry up," I said. I hear another grunt and I walk back to the kitchen to make some toast for myself. Once I finished slathering the toast with butter, he steps in. He's wearing a light gray hoodie and pale blue jeans. "Smells good," he walks behind me and hugs me from behind. "Just like you." "Your food is going to get cold," I said while blushing. He lets go and sits across from me and starts digging in. I hear noises of approval since he's shoveling the food in his mouth. I smile and sip my hot chocolate and finish off my toast. I hear the doorbell ring and he looks up at me, inquisitive. I put my hand up so he won't get up. I walk to the door and peek out. No one's there. I open the door and I look around. I look down and see a magazine inside a gift basket. I pick it up and take it to the living room. I open the gift basket and pull out a wine bottle of Lambrusco and some tickets to a Gala and a magazine that features Daniel and another model. I put the magazine on the table and look at what other stuffs in there. I hear Kris enter and sit down on the floor and picks up the magazine. I read the date of the Gala is tonight at 7pm and it's a formal event. Meaning nice formal dresses and tuxedos. I'm excited to ask Kris to come with me, when I turn around to face him, he's standing up and glaring at me. I shivered of apprehension from the sight of his face. "What's wrong? Why you mad?" I said in a fearful voice, my voice cracks at the end of my question. He pulls me up by my arms and says, "Is this what you want? You want the world to know how easy you are," my eyes widen. "What are you talking about? I-" I couldn't finish my sentence because Kris smashed his lips against mine. I feel him tremble and I take him and all his anger, trying to soothe him. After a few heartbeats, he lets go and rests his forehead against mine. His chest is heaving up and down and breathing rapidly. In a small voice, I said, "What did you see that made you so upset?" I look up and see he's wrestling with his emotions to be in control. He steps away from me and runs a hand through his hair and points at the magazine. I pick it up and look through until I land on my face peering at me. The topic that I posed for was for the wedding night most women dream of. The only thing that may be construed as easy is the article and positions to reach a climax. "Do you think that applies to me? They just need some good visuals for the article. Are you for real tripping over this? Some of your photo shoots are similar to these," I walk to him and gently put my hand on his forearm. He doesn't jerk my hand off which I take it that he's calmed down. I step in front of him and grab his face with both my hands. He looks at me and he bites his lip. After a few moments of exchanging glances, he sighs. "I'm sorry," he says while grabbing my hands from his face and pulling me towards him in an embrace. He snuggles his face in the crook of my neck and kisses it gently. "I forgive you but don't jump to conclusion like that again, it really hurt my feelings when you said that," I said, pushing my body away from his so he knows that I'm serious. He nods and snuggles back in. "I'm willing to forgive you fully if you accompany me to a Gala this evening," I said. "I wish I could but after my interview, I have to fly back to New York for a concert," He tightens his arms and then lets go completely. "Do you want to fly with me for the concert?" he says with a flirtatious smile. I think about it. If I go with him, I can't be with him while he's getting ready and during the performance, he won't see me and after the concert, he'll be too tired to hang out with me because he'll have to board the plane to South Korea. We would both be exhausted and tired when we return home. I shake my head and say what I was thinking and he assures me he won't be tired. I know he's just saying that to make me go but my practical side is telling me not to go. "I really would like to go with you but we both know the truth and I would rather be watching your performance on the TV, free from sweaty-screaming-fangirls." I smile and he does too. He nods. I walk him to the front door where he picks up his carry-on bag. I open the door and I see a black sedan waiting in my driveway. I glance at Kris and he waves to the car. The chauffer steps out of the car and walks over to us. He adresses Kris and I in a very detached professional greeting and grabs Kris's bag and stows it in the trunk and gets back in the car. "So, you called ahead, I'm assuming?", looking for confirmation. He nods, "I didn't want you to drive me there and have to drive back home." I shake my head at his statement and I say, "If I could stay with you for a few hours driving you to your interview, I wouldn't have minded the drive back home." I pout. "Well, if that's what you want," he rests his index finger on my lips while he's talking to me, "then I'll tell him to go." I bite his finger, not enough force to injure him but to shock him. "Hey!" says Kris. "Don't make this man go to the trouble of coming here and not pick you up. He wouldn't get paid." I said a bit reprimanding in my voice. He pouts and nods. I stand on my tippy toes and encircle my arms around his neck and lean my body against his. "I'll miss you, text me when you get to the interview and the concert," giving him butterfly kisses all over his face. "I just want to make sure that you are still alive after being bombarded with fangirls and reporters." He embraces me tightly and kisses me profoundly, leaving me breathless when he lets go. He heads over to the car door and blows a kiss and gets in. The car backs out of my driveway and down the street. Once it's out of view, I walk back in the house and look at the magazine. I pull out my pictures and put it in the coffee table drawer. I make a mental note of what the gift basket has: a 500 gift card to a brand store, wine, Gala tickets, magazine, assorted chocolates, and a Thank You card from Ricky and the gang. I think about the Gala and I pick up the tickets, I read over the fine print and it says I can bring a plus one and what the dress code is. I'm thinking about who to bring, excluding Kris, when my phone pings. I go grab my phone from the floor and look at the sender. Who's this?" her eyes conveying interest but her eyebrows are drawned down, giving her a look of disapproval. I point at him and introduce my mom to him. "This is Kris. Kris, this is my mom, Eve." I stand closer to my mom. My mom lifts an eyebrow at Kris's outstreched hand. "Hello, ma'am. My name is Kris Wu and I'm trying to court your daughter, but she keeps refusing my affection." Kris gives me a side-glance, smiling at me. My mother grabbed his hand, "I flew non-stop from Korea to surprise her and she didn't give me a warm welcome. If I wasn't interested in you, I'd probably go for your mom." I smack his arm and he laughs. "Nah, I want to stay so that I can know more about you. Since, you're not willing to share, I bet your mother would. Funny embarrassing stories." He wriggles his eyebrows up and down, making me want to hit him harder. I shake my head and say over my shoulder, "It's your funeral." I walk back to the kitchen and help my mother cook. I glance back and see Kris grabbing his carry-on bag and rifling through it. I didn't even know he brought it with him. My view is obscured once I walk into the kitchen. My mother points at the vegetables and I know what I have to do since I've been cooking since I was 17. ********************************************************** After my mother leaves, giving me a peck on the cheek and a look that signifies that she's going to have a real long talk with me, we head to the sofa. He grabs my waist and plops down, bringing me down on his lap. His breath near my ears causes a shiver down my back. "I'm in love with your mother." I lay back hard causing him to wheeze-laugh. "I mean, her cooking...if I marry you that means I can have her cooking everyday." My head slightly turns and I say, "Are you trying to say that I'm not a good cook? As far as I know, all you did was cut up onions and not very well done, either." I smirk, "No wonder you're so skinny..." I giggled and squealed before finishing my sentence because Kris started a tickle fight. After a few seconds, I'm under him, breathless. His face full of mirth eclipses to one of hunger. I instantly recognize the look and I tense up because of the vulnerable position I'm in. His hand grabbing both of my wrists above my head and his body in between my open spreaded legs. Although I want him, I don't want to give it to him. I don't even have the title of girlfriend in public or in private. Although he's given hints, he's never really asked. Plus, his members would be affected if we went public. He must've sensed my internal battle because he let my wrists go and rested his head on my chest like earlier in the day. "Can we stay like this and sleep here? You're bed isn't big enough for the both of us and tomorrow, I have to go back after I do an interview in the afternoon." Kris asks quietly. On the necklace there's a K and a Key. "Wow, it's so pretty, is this for me?" I asked breathlessly. One hand in front of my lips and the other one reaching for the necklace. "Of course, its for you. You think I'd wear something like this?" I nod, his eyes widen. "If it was a concept for the music video or photo shoot." My eyes still locked on the necklace, my hands touching it. He chuckles and shakes his head. "You are so unpredictable, that's what I love about you." His eyes softening. I look up and see his eyes, the love that's there. My heart flutters. He leans towards me and I close my eyes. I feel something cold around my neck and open my eyes. His face is near mine but his eyes are focused on clasping the necklace around my neck. I blush. He finishes and without moving his head. His eyes meet mine and I feel my face burning hot. I see him smirk and look at my lips. His finger rests on the side of my chin and pushes it towards him. I breathe out shakily and his voice comes out breathlessly, as affected as I am, "You have the cutest face when you're expecting a kiss and when you get embarrassed. I can't wait until I have you trembling in my arms with need that only I can fulfill, when that day comes, I will make you mine." Before even responding, he gives me a mindblowing kiss that started a blaze of need that settled in my lady parts. Before I could even react, he lets me go and grabs his bag and takes it in with him in the bathroom. My knees buckle and I land on my sofa, shaking my head. This man is dangerous. All it takes is a kiss and my judgement flies out the window. I can see in my mind's eye that I'm throwing myself in his arms with wild abandon in the throes of passion and then reality douses me with the repercussions of that passion. Me, being abandoned after he gets what he wants or worse, having a baby that isn't wanted by him. I stand and walk into the kitchen and get a pitcher of water and pour a glass of water. I chugg it to calm myself and prepare myself for the onslaught of his nearness that will have me doubting my resolve of keeping things chaste. As he steps out of the bathroom, a pair of basketball shorts hanging dangerously low on his hips. His hair dripping wet crystals down his chest and lower. I avert my eyes and grab my toiletries and clothes and step in and lock the door. *************************************************************** We are settled in the sofa, this time I'm settled next to his body. My head resting on his arm and his arm resting across my waist. Our bodies are facing the TV, watching a Korean Movie. During the movie, I feel my eyes drooping. I look over my shoulder and see Kris already asleep. I lean forward to grab the remote on the coffee table and shut off the TV. I place the blanket, that's around our legs, closer to our waist level. Kris's body heat is enough to keep me warm but I'm not sure if I'm enough for him. I turn towards his body, placing my head on his chest and I feel him embrace me. I hear his heartbeat pulse steadily, bringing me to a lull and I feel the darkness surround me and fall into a blissful dream.
