How-To: Boho Braided Half Crown
The Beauty Department just published this super cute hair tutorial that I had to share with my gals and my brides on Vingle! As you can see, it's super easy and straight forward in the instructions. Try this out and let me know what you think! 1. Wave hair. 2. Gather and section off the top half of your hair (temple to temple) 3. Roll and clip this section up and away. 4. Next section off one inch sections on your right and left side from your hairline, near your temple (this is the area slightly above your ear). Braid this section vertically down. 5. Backcomb the braid instead of tying it off. Repeat on both sides. 6. Bring braids forward towards the face and unclip the top section of hair (step 3). Allow this section to fall and blend with the bottom half of your hair. 7. Take both braids from each side. 8. Bring these braids to the middle back of your head, cross them over each other. 9. Using a bobby pin that blends with your hair color, fasten both braids. 10. Now make one inch sections below your first set of braids on each side. Repeat the first set of braids we did (Follow steps 4 and 5 ). Make sure the braid is directly under your last braids. 11. Once both sides are braided bring hair around to the middle back of your head and cross them over each other. 12. Using a bobby pin that blends with your hair color, fasten both braids. 13. Once everything is fastened adjust your curls on the bottom half and style using a texture spray. 14. Finish off waves and look with a weightless protectant. 15. Make any further styling adjustments to your look. and Enjoy an easy DIY half up boho braided up-do. Photo & Post by Carachele Tyvan
The Christmas Latte to Rule Them All
I've talked about this cafe before, and I'll talk about it again. All That Sweets is hands down my favorite dessert cafe on Earth. Watch my video review here or read below^^ Today I went alone so I passed on a slice of the strawberry shortcake but look how adorable is it! Their cakes are always light and creamy, though the flavors change daily! I've seen chocolate, vanilla, and even kiwi cakes. Instead I opted for one of their amazing macarons. Because I came late in the day, my only option was the chocolate raspberry "merry xmas" heart macaron, but I probably would have chosen that anyway. These flavors also vary with the season but every single one I've ever tried has been absolutely delicious. But of course, the star of the show is my Christmas Tree Latte <3 Their lattes are amazingly intricate, and they have a dozen of them on the menu at all times. The homemade (delicious) whipped cream is covered in melted chocolate, sprinkles, and meringue cookies. I seriously thought I hated meringue until I tried these babies. Now I can't get enough! They sell these for the month of December, and then usually move on to make snowflake or other winter themed lattes. All year 'round they offer rose, raincloud, and even coral styled lattes! This year they also introduced a gingerbread man latte that I was tempted to get, but I had to stick to my traditional tree :) You can also find me here: Tumblr Instagram Twitter Facebook SnapChat: cari.cakez

How to Survive Winter in Korea
Yes, these are in celsius but also that means ITS TWENTY EIGHT DEGREES TODAY! In Seoul, its been getting down to about 15 degrees fahrenheit at night :( Here are a few popular ways to keep warm in Korea! Face Masks These do a lot of things that can help you out in winter. 1. They keep you warm! It catches the heat from your breath and heats/steams your face to keep you really warm when outside. 2. They keep you safe from germs! People cough and sneeze a lot in Korea without covering their mouths so keeping yourself away from germs is tough, but these do the job! 3. They protect against air pollution! This year the air has been really bad in Korea so an extra layer will protect you from the bad stuff floating around. Pick up the one Chanyeol is wearing: HERE Heat Packs In Korea, you can buy hot packs or hand warmers everywhere! You just shake them up and they can keep you warm for up to 14 hours! Actually, one of my friends accidentally fell asleep holding one and she got a slight burn, so its best to put them in a cute little pouch like the ones below~ Cute Reusable Ones: Owl Shape! Heart Shape! Classic Korean Hand Warmers :) Here! Warm Drinks Obviously you could just go for coffee, but in order to fight colds and get your vitamins and energy, Koreans often drink Yuja Tea and Ginger Tea. They come in a jelly/jam consistency and you have to add two scoops into a mug and fill it up with hot water. It's super healthy for you!
