I was wandering Hongdae the other day and stumbled upon such a perfect cafe. It not only has a CORGI and a beagle, but it also has a "two-tone coffee" aka two coffees in one cup. These Neko Atsume-Inspired Lattes Are Purrfectly Adorable!
So chances are that you or someone you know is currently obsessed with the trending mobile game Neko Atsume, where you basically take care of virtual cats the same thankless way you would a normal housecat. Except with less shedding. Japanese barista and latte art enthusiast Nowtoo Sugi totally understands this obsession, which is why he began creating his very own lattes dedicated to the cats. The colors of Nowtoo's designs are made with different flavored syrups - ranging from fruit to chocolate. Calico fans can enjoy a latte topped with Neko Atsune's Callie. And Sassy Fran even gets her own cup - apron and all! My personal favorite is Guy Furry, who is considerably more adorable than the chef he's named after. The Christmas Latte to Rule Them All
I've talked about this cafe before, and I'll talk about it again. All That Sweets is hands down my favorite dessert cafe on Earth. Watch my video review here or read below^^ Today I went alone so I passed on a slice of the strawberry shortcake but look how adorable is it! Their cakes are always light and creamy, though the flavors change daily! I've seen chocolate, vanilla, and even kiwi cakes. Instead I opted for one of their amazing macarons. Because I came late in the day, my only option was the chocolate raspberry "merry xmas" heart macaron, but I probably would have chosen that anyway. These flavors also vary with the season but every single one I've ever tried has been absolutely delicious. But of course, the star of the show is my Christmas Tree Latte <3 Their lattes are amazingly intricate, and they have a dozen of them on the menu at all times. The homemade (delicious) whipped cream is covered in melted chocolate, sprinkles, and meringue cookies. I seriously thought I hated meringue until I tried these babies. Now I can't get enough! They sell these for the month of December, and then usually move on to make snowflake or other winter themed lattes. All year 'round they offer rose, raincloud, and even coral styled lattes! First Blossoms in Seoul and a Cherry Blossom Latte?!
Spring has finally reach Seoul! To celebrate I visited the first apricot blossoms to bloom and then grabbed a giant, BEAUTIFUL cherry blossom latte from my favorite cafe. The footage of the blossoms is super calming so I suggest at least watching the last half of this video if you're having a stressful day :) PS thank you to everyone who helped me out on the last video, its never nice to see so much hate on the internet but you guys always remind me there's a lot more good in the world^^ Is it feeling like spring wherever you are in the world!?
Starbucks Drinks You Can Only Get in Seoul
Alright Starbucks aficionados, here's a drink you've probably never tried. Meet the Lavender Cafe Breve and the Orange & Dark Mocha. These two new concoctions are only available at Korea's 1000th store, located in the Cheongdam area of Seoul. Cheongdam is basically Beverly Hills - its where all the celebs live and work, all the wannabe celebs hang out, and its the luxury shopping and plastic surgery capital of Asia. When I worked at Starbucks, I was constantly hearing co-workers (and even regular customers!) chiding others when they used the wrong coffee shop lingo. "It's not 'expresso', it's 'espresso'. It's not an 'espresso cup', it's a 'demitasse'." You guys, who cares?!
