A little Geography & history:
Kazakhstan, a Central Asian country and former Soviet republic, extends from the Caspian Sea in the west to the Altai Mountains at its eastern border with China and Russia. It is the ninth largest country in the world.

Ninety One pioneered QPop and paved the way for other artist to follow their dreams.

NINETY ONE {WHY'M} & the Powerful Message.
Back on New Years Day, NINETY ONE released a new song. It's very touching and very powerful. The message they send is heartwarming. Now I don't speak Kazakh yet, but going off the English Captions they included in the song: It tells us not to dwell on the past. Don't let your yesterday steal your today. Live for the moment. Everyday is a new day. That our mistakes turn into experiences. Learn from them. We will all fall apart at some time, but we will also overcome any obstacles. Most importantly, we as people are our own worst enemy. Love, discover, try, and make mistakes. It's all part of our growth as human kind. This song is touching. Not going to lie, I have it on repeat most of the time. Today, 91 as well as their Juz family released a video sharing a touching message for everyone. I get it, sometimes noone understands you. It feels like you were abandoned to face this world all alone. Only you and your monsters. Gray Sky, frozen walls, and people without a fire. So you picture, "this is my environment." However, it is only the vision inside of your head. At that moment, stop, take a deep breathe, and put your buzzing thoughts aside. Listen to your heart. Do you hear that? That is calm. No one can touch you here. In this space, only you and your heart are present, And your heart, your world and your beliefs. You are not alone. It is the only place in this world which exists just for you. Love is your home. When there is a snowstorm outside, at school, work or in the family, look at it from the window of your home (heart). Remember this home. Yes, sometimes noone understands you, yet show them your home. This is a very powerful message. I'm a bit emotional lately and this hit me in the heart. This was what I needed to hear. So, thank you NINETY ONE. I have needed to hear this for so long. It's also probably safe to say at one point in our lives we've felt misunderstood. "Unless you're a pitty, don't be a bully"~ QueenyCrossGene Hello all. It has been brought to attention about misconduct that has been going on as of late. Per Vingle, there are certain stipulations that we as users have to abide by so we can have a user friendly experience here. When the Presidents of The many Communities were designated, we had to basically agree that we would see to it that certain things would be monitored. We have these guidelines to make this place as friendly as we can. I've been here on this app for many years. We're talking 2k13 era, along with quite a bit of others. Over the course of the changes throughout the years, we see many newcomers. Those that are still so young and fresh to the world. Anything that is posted, must be taken into account the different age ranges we have here. I certainly wouldn't want someone to feel uncomfortable in any Community; my three especially. All of us with the honor of being President, wants to see our community as friendly and family oriented as it can be. There are also many of us who are older fans, that try to lead by example. We are one big family here, as we have been since the beginning. So it comes to basic Guidelines: These are set in motion for My three Communities: Cross Gene|Lucente|NINETYONE 1} Don't Bully or harass. No name calling, bullying, harassment in any form or fashion will be allowed in my communities. If you can't go back to when your parents taught you to treat others as you would want to be treated, then stay silent. There's no excuse for ugly behavior. 2} Keep in mind everyone can see chats. You're about a few years too late for direct messages. In every community, you will see they have chats set aside for messaging other users. There are also certain chats that are for Presidents to interact with members of their communities. Those chats were designed to bring questions forth to each president. You can make different chats to chit chat about things. But even in these chats, I'm pretty sure relevancy is still warranted. 3} Relevant Cards: Whenever you submit cards to Communities that have Presidents, they have to be voted to be approved or removed. Inappropriate cards, irrelevant, or spam cards are not going to get your card into the community. Keep in mind that we each have guidelines to follow. I wouldn't post Ninety one in Pentagon, as Pentagon wouldn't Spam into the Ninety one Community. It's just not logical. Many of the communities that are on here have their own designated content. Keep the cards where they belong. It helps decrease the spam. Believe you me, everything is better organized. NINETY ONE BELONGS IN NINETYONE. PENTAGON BELONGS IN PENTAGON. Simple. As. That. 4} Be a friend not a foe: Again this plays to not bullying others. If you are witness to anything that makes you feel uncomfortable, you can block/mute the user and report the card for any misconduct. You can reach out to the President of the community and fill them in on what's going on. We will do everything in our allotted power to handle this as best we can. Also please be aware that many reports of misconduct can go against you. Like I expressed earlier, the Presidents just want to see their communities strive. We all have to be understanding of these things. We are simply "not telling anyone what to do" just trying to keep everything running smoothly. Please. Just. Follow. Guidelines. Meet NINETY ONE
Hello all. So I wanted to say Hi, and announce that I'll be President of a new community, NINETYONE. [I have decided that I will not be running for mfect for the next quarter. I still love them dearly, I just feel I will do better promoting NINETY ONE.] So Background About Ninety One: Ninety One or 91 is from Kazakhstan. They debuted under JUZ Entertainment in 2014. The band consists of five members: A.Z., ALEM, ACE, ZaQ and BALA. Beginning of Ninety One: The guys came up with the name NINETY ONE/91 since they were all born after 91. They combined western and Kpop, forming a new genre Called, Q-Pop. They were met with much resistance starting out, with people saying they went against traditional Kazakh traditions and customs. During their tours, they had to overcome many obstacles, one being of protestors who would deliberately ruin their sets and stages. Other people would pay the venues not to allow them to perform. In one particular area, Qyzylorda known for their conservative traditions, they were met with opposition for reasonings that they were "too gay" to represent Kazakh Men, and culture. They already had a fanbase, so the 5 guys with a dream set out on a mission to find a place they could hold their concert, hoping to not let their fans down. Unfortunately, they had zero luck and had to cancel for lack of venue. As they decided to hold another concert for fans in Shymkent, they were once more met with resistance from youth activists that organized an event to overrule the band. In the cities of Zhezqazghan & Adobe, people either sabotaged their sets or threatened anyone willing to let these boys perform. They were oppressed, with no help from authorities to prevent them from being sabotaged. Songs Where The Title Is A Play On Words (Or Has Meanings You Might Have Missed)
Mostly Kpop songs but there is one other song in a different genre. (I apologize for the change in fonts, I don’t have a Hangul keyboard on my laptop so I copy and pasted the Hangul into the card which caused the fonts to become smaller.) Valkyrie (발키리) - ONEUS Play on Korean word 밝히리 (balkhiri) which means Shine, it sounds like Valkyrie. Though they do also say the word valkyrie in English the song just once. G.R.8.U (대.다.나.다.너) - VIXX The korean title translates to 'You're Impressive' but they used the slang word in Korean (대.다.나.다.너)(dae.da.na.da.neo=the shortened version of the formal saying 'You're impressive.' I could not find the formal spelling to show you guys). The same goes for the English title, 'G.R.8.U' is also a slang spelling for 'Great You.' 1004 (Angel) - B.A.P The Korean word for 'Angel' sounds and is spelled exactly like the Korean word for '1004.' (천사=cheonsa/angel/1004.) A.D.T.O.Y (하.니.뿐.) - 2PM This one isn't really a play on words, more or less a shortened version of a phrase. In English it's just an acyronym for 'All Day I Think About You.' 하.니.뿐. (broken down below) is a shortened version of 하루 종일 니 생각뿐이야 (halu jong-il ni saeng-gagppun-iya.=I think of you all day.) 하.니.뿐 = Ha.Ni.PPun, which is the shortened version of HAlu jong-il NI saeng-gagPPUN-iya. HookGA (Hook가) - HIGH4:20 May seem like it's supposed to be Hookah, but apparently according to member Alex it's HookGA (GA as in 가) which means in Alex's words 'Go to the Hook (of the song)' or 'bring the hook.' If you look up the meaning to 'bring the hook' (후크를 가지고) the roman form is 'hukeuleul gajigo' which could mean they also did a shortening thing by taking out the hukeuleul jigo part and had the English word for 'Hook' and kept the GA (가) part still holding the meaning of 'bring the hook.' But I mean their unit name High4:20 still... HALA HALA - Ateez Just an acyronym for Hearts Awakened Live Alive. Though those words are never said in the song. Only HALA HALA is used. La Vie En Rose - IZ*ONE 'La Vie En Rose' is a metaphor in French for seeing live through a rosy pair of glasses, in a sense of utmost joy and state of bliss. Or in other words 'a state of mind where everything looks and seems happy and joyful around you (rosy) when you are in love.' (Source) DKDK (두근두근) - Fromis_9 DKDK an acronym of sorts for the Korean onomatopoeia of a heartbeat (두근두근=dugeundugeun (swap the g's out for k's and shorten it and you got DKDK.)) %% (Eung Eung) - APINK %% is a play on the Korean Hangul for 'Eung Eung' which looks like a percent sign when tilted to the side a bit: 응응 looks the same as %%. The name is also homage to the internet slang in Korea which is ㅇㅇ, which is a kind of a way to you could say "ok" or "got it." ㅇㅇ is the shortened version of 응응. Korea loves to shorten phrases or words if you haven't noticed! JamCome On Baby (잠깐만 Baby) - Yoon Mirae (Korean Version) (English Version) The English Title is called JamCome On Baby but the Korean title is 잠깐만 Baby (Hold Up Baby.) 잠깐만 sounds like JamCome On (jamkkanman.) All I Need - Ninety One (Non-Korean Group) Play on the Kazah word Дегенмен ол айнды (Degenmen ol aynïdı=however, she feels repelled) the ол айнды (ol aynïdı) sounds like the Enlish words 'All I Need.'
