Starring: Kim Moonseong x OC
Kim Moonseong; the leader of 7 guys. One of Korea's biggest heart throbs. He was very stoic and had a heart full of gold. He was known to the world as U.Seong. After all, he wasn't chosen to be a leader for nothing. Many girls wanted him, most guys disliked him. If ever there was a guy with a great jawline, it was him. Girls practically swooned over him. It was understandable though. As all kinds of girls flocked to him, he never acted on any impulses; at least not with most girls. He was attracted to those who were headstrong. He liked priss, but there was just something about a girl that didn't mind getting her hands dirty. Scarlett fit that description.
Scarlett had a heart of gold herself. If ever any of her friends or strangers were troubled, she'd help with all her might. Scarlett's family wasn't well known. In fact, her dad was a custodian for the company. He was a single dad that tried to support her family. She looked up to her dad, seeing that as long as you worked hard, any job could be noble. He always supported her in every endeavor.
Many of the employees at the company, including females, always gave Scarlett a hard time indirectly. She was usually good about letting it slip off her shoulders, but it started to become harder as she grew older. That was when she found out people could be heartless. This resulted in her becoming more reserved and reluctant to trust anyone or make friends. As she would bring her father food for working long hours, she was noticed by Moonseong more and more.
Scarlett also had to get a job to help her father. Of course he wanted nothing more than to see her succeed, but she was her own person and stubborn. Her little brother was her main priority. He was also a hopeful trainee. Every day, he would go and practice in hopes of eventually becoming an idol. Scarlett was one he looked up too. She sacrificed a lot with her dad, to help him. Moonseong never put the pieces together that they were related. He had been pining over her for a while, with not knowing who she was. They would cross paths periodically throughout the day, without much conversation exchanged between the two. He was wanting to change that.
As the days went on, he found ways to try to become noticed by Scarlett. He learned the times and frequency that she would show up to see her family, making notes. It started with the reception. Everyday, he would leave flowers for her at the front desk for the receptionist to give to her as she was leaving. Anytime he did that, he watched, from afar, her reaction. At first, she was even reluctant to take them, but seeing her light up for the little things made him happy.
"Miss, we have these for you." The receptionist handed over a bouquet of lillies.
"These are for me? I'm sorry you must be mistaken, I don't work here."
"You're Scarlett right?" The receptionist looked over the note that came with the flowers.
"Why yes, but I don't understand what's happening."
She grabbed them as she slowly brought them to her nose. She loved the fragrance the flowers had.
"Miss, can you tell me who they're from?"
"We cannot. There was no name, just this note that came with them."
She grabbed the note as she scanned for a possible prospect. Still, the note remained to be a mystery. Whoever was taking their time to buy her flowers daily was truly wanting to remain anonymous for now. It was kind of romantic to her. Never had she ever recieved anything like this before.
"Hopefully, you enjoy them," Moonseong mumbled as he proceeded into the practice room.
He worked hard practicing with the others, but no matter how much energy he released, she was still on his mind. Moonseong couldn't go a minute without thinking of her. At first he decided it was a simple crush, but over time it developed into something more. He knew her brother was a trainee, and her dad the janitor. Moonseong made sure they were taken care of. Another day was done for the group. They began to pack up their things to leave, when Moonseong caught a glimpse of a female walking around the studio. As he went to the door to investigate, he noticed it was Scarlett.
"Are you lost miss?" He spoke to Scarlett for the first time.
She turned around smiling as she seemed like she was lost for words.
"Oh, no I'm just waiting on my little brother. He is a trainee here. It's so lively here during the day."
"Aren't you the one that receives the flowers almost everyday."
Her face lit up with a light pink trailing across her cheeks, "Yes. I'm not sure who's sending them though."
Just as he thought, her voice fit her face. He wanted to delve into the matter more to see what she thought about them.
"Ah, that is interesting, don't you think? Someone must have alot of time on their hands to give you flowers often."
"Yes it's quite interesting, but it's also very sweet. I am not one for things like that normally, but it does make bad days turn to good."
Great. It was going as planned. Since she enjoyed them, he would just have to continue sending them to her. He quietly wondered if she would like roses. The only way to find out, was to change the pace. With Valentine's day around the corner, he wanted to step up the game. It was decided, he'd send her roses to try out.
"Well, I gotta get back in here and finish wrapping things up. It's nice to meet you, I'm Moonseong, but everyone calls me U.Seong."
"I'm Scarlett, it's a pleasure. I'll see you around."
They went their separate ways as she got ready to take her brother home. Like clock-work, her brother met her in the lobby. He was super talented, definitely the polar opposite of Scarlett. Moonseong watched as she left the company. He wanted to make her his. She made him nervous talking with him. He felt warmth in her words. It was an indescribable feeling and experience. Almost like he was going on stage for the very first time.
The next few days came and gone as he slowly incorporated using roses instead of lillies. Each day that he sent roses, Scarlett couldn't help but smile ear to ear. She thought it felt nice to receive little tokens of admiration. As talk went on in the company, people were more curious as to whom was sending the flowers all the time to a random person. Many of which were proving to be jealous girls. As Moonseong watched, one girl withheld the flowers from Scarlett. While he wanted her to get them, he was annoyed someone would be that bold to do that.
Instead of confronting the girl about it, he had a backup plan; get the florist to directly hand the flowers to Scarlett while she was there. That would ensure she would get them. As the florist walked to Scarlett, she was set aback. She looked them over as she noticed another card.
The Note read: Hello, I bet you're curious as to who keeps sending you these flowers? Well, it's someone that you aren't familiar with. Over the course of the days. I'll slowly reveal myself to you. On the last day, we can meet face to face. So keep your calendar opened up for that mystery day. See you soon, your admirer.
Scarlett slowly scanned the card to make sure she didn't miss any detail or facts that could help her decipher who it was. All she could do was smile. Everyday, she was guaranteed to have her cheeks sore by the time she left the company. That was everyday that Moonseong tried to lift her spirits. Just by looking at her face, he could tell she was grateful. Her eyes practically screamed gratitude. If he had it his way, she'd never stop smiling.
Just as he had promised, he left hints that could lead her to her admirer. Moonseong was excited as new days passed. The girls were getting more jealous. They didn't find it fair that someone who wasn't an employee, was garnering all the attention from them. Scarlett was the only one deserving of this though.
She met her brother once more as she continued looking over the notes.
'I hope you don't find this too forward, but your smile is fantastic. I'm known to having a good smile too, frequently as a matter of fact. I'm ready to meet you tomorrow.'
Confused, she lightly put the note away. She would have plenty of time at home to read between the lines.
"What are you looking at sister?" Her brother sat in the chair next to her.
"I'm not sure. I mean obviously it's a note. I've gotten a lot of these lately. It's becoming stranger."
"You mean to tell me this person is the reason why it looks like a garden exploded in our living room?"
Fighting back cackles, she just smiled.
"Yes but I can't figure out who's doing this."
"You have managed to snag someone up. Impressive. I just wonder if the person works here."
"That's a possibility, why else would the florist know my location all the time. I feel like I'm missing an important clue about this. I do know the girls are close to scratching my eyes out though."
"That just means whoever is doing this, is formidable. But you don't know anyone outside of me or dad, right?"
"This is also true, so this makes me wonder if this is just some cruel joke.
"Honestly, I don't think someone would go to this extreme if this was a joke. There's too much money invested in this."
She stood up as they left. Moonseong didn't want her to feel like that. He wanted to be with her and know her better. Hopefully, she wouldn't think too hard on this. He could only hope. Maybe when they met, she'd feel the emotions in his gestures.
Tomorrow was a new day, as well as the day she'd meet her prince. She spent what seemed like hours infront of her mirror trying to find the perfect outfit. Unfortunately for her, she wasn't much into dresses or skirts. This didn't leave her much of a choice. Looking through her closet, she had the idea to combine a hi-low blouse with leggings. That, she definitely had.
Scarlett's alarm went off as she hit the snooze. Throwing her legs over the side of the bed, she was hit with butterflies all over the inside of her stomach. Today was when she'd meet the guy who had been generous sending her flowers. It was also Valentine's day. She gave herself a pep talk as she pulled the chosen clothing from the drawers. Hearing her brother next door, she just smiled before turning to the mirror. Luckily, today was her day off, so she didn't have to rush getting ready. Her makeup was minimal, seeing as she never delved into the art of cosmetology. She honestly couldn't remember having any makeup on when she visited the company in the past. Either way, she'd have to make do with what she had.
Time kept ticking slowly for Moonseong. He wanted today to go fairly smoothly. He would reveal himself to Scarlett, and hopefully today would start the beginning of their relationship. That was what he had hoped for at least. His friends all knew his plan as he paced length of the wall. If they let out early, he could easily be done and refreshed by the time the meeting was to start. He still had to grab food beforehand. The guys all watched as their leader got nervous. He was excited though.
Glancing at the time, they called it a day, as the guys shouted words of encouragement. Moonseong rushed to his dorm as he had less than two hours to get ready. It was almost time. Before he arrived at the studio, he still needed to get food and some more things to decorate the room. Moonseong had it all planned out, hopefully she would like it.
Scarlett arrived at the studio as she did one final take in the windows. Slowly approaching the building, the doors opened. Red specks on the floor caught her attention. Crouching down, she noticed they were rose petals. She picked one up as she followed the intricately placed petals. It led her to a room with a table set up, and candles on the table. This was almost something out of a romance novel. Something that she never fathomed would happen to her. A smile appeared as she walked into the room further.
A figure was standing by the window. He appeared to be tall and slender. Moonseong turned his head to see her in his peripheral. When she spoke to him, he turned completely around. She was shocked at who had been sending her flowers for a while.
"Moonseong? What. . . You're the one who's been doing this?"
Nodding his head, "Yes, I hope it isn't a disappointment, but I wanted to spend time with you."
"This is incredibly sweet. By the way, how did you know I like lillies and roses?"
"I made an educated guess."
"Really?" Scarlett approached him more.
"No, your brother told me."
"Please sit," he motioned towards the table.
They walked over to the table as he pulled out dishes for them to enjoy. Seeing her face light up was just as beautiful as she looked. He was pleased with how the night turned out. They visited over dinner, talking about a lot of things. She laughed at his jokes and he laughed at her bubbly personality.
Suddenly, he wanted to show the best part of the night. He grabbed her hand as they climbed the stairs to the top of the building. The view at night was beautiful. Building and lights could be seen for miles. They sat on the edge admiring the night sky. He glanced at her as she met his eyes.
"Is everything okay?"
"Everything is perfect Scarlett, couldn't be better. I do have this for you," he handed her a box.
She opened the box carefully noticing the bows he tied in it. She pulled out a necklace as she admired that the stone was her favorite color.
"Here I'll put it on for you."
He clasped the necklace as she held the pendant gently.
"It's beautiful, thank you."
"Scarlett, be mine."
"Date me, please. I really like you and I would love nothing more than to get to know you for eternity, given the chance."
She sat in silence as she churned everything into her brain. He did seem like a great guy, very observant as well. If he was one she was meant to be with, she didn't want to pass the chance up. Looking up at him, she smiled.
"Yes I will date you."
He stood up as he picked her up and turned her around. Setting her down, he reached into his pocket. He pulled out a smaller box that had rings inside of them. He bought them couple rings. He slipped hers on her finger as he kissed her. Scarlett felt like she was in a dream. Just a few days ago, she thought she didn't exist to anyone. Today, she found out just how special she was.
