Does anyone know the origin of egg tart?
I tried this for the first time when I was in China. It is one of the most delicious food I've ever tried! Some say it's chinese food, some say it's originally from french (custard tart), and some even say it 'portuguese egg tart'. So which one is correct?

it's portuguese... they are called pasteis de nata. They are famous in China because Portuguese "rulled over" Macau for many years and brought it there. ;) it was a pastery originally made by monks and nuns
