The producer behind most of your favorite music, Raphael Saadiq strips down his own songs for this concert for NPR. Clearly going for the retro blues man look, he and his partner lay down some of the smoothest licks I've ever heard in my life. Usually his songs are arranged for full bands with horn sections and have that R&B feel, but they bring them down to just two acoustic guitars. Never heard two people play funkier guitar fills, I could listen to them riff all day long. I go back and rewatch this at least once a month. Truly a lesson in songwriting, performance, and arrangement.
