K-DRAMA Wednesday #1

Hi all!! Veronica here as promise bringing you are first What are you Watching? card. The card where I will answer that question?

I'M WATCHING.....

He is Psychometric.

I'm watching it on Viki and currently on episode 10. It is currently airing which means I watch as the episodes are being released.

My brief synopsis
It's about a three young kids that where brought together by a tradegy. During this tradegy one character develops abilities that if he touches a person or object he can see the memory or event attached to that object or what the person remembering or thinking about at that time. The three main characters, the one who developed the ability, his parents where killed in the tragedy, the girl her father is the convicted but she believes he is innocent, the other young man saved the character with the ability. He becomes the adoptive hyung of the character. He pushes the girl and boy together so his skill becomes more enhanced so he will be able to read him and to prove the girl's father innocent.

Official synopsis from viki.com
Lee Ahn (Jinyoung) is a boy with an incredible power to sense other people's secrets just by a simple touch. Yoon Jae In (Shin Ye Eun) is a girl who'll stop at nothing to hide a traumatic secret. What will happen when their worlds collide? A romantic thriller about how these two teenagers love, heal, and support each other through big and small events.
but another synopsis from wikipedia
After losing his parents in a fire, Lee Ahn (Park Jin-young) acquires the power ofpsychometry, the ability to read a person or an object's past through physical contact, and he decides to use it to take bad people down. While he does not know how to control his power yet, he meets Yoon Jae-in (Shin Ye-eun) who tries her best to hide her painful secrets. Together with his foster guardian, prosecutor Kang Sung-mo (Kim Kwon), and the latter's colleague, investigator Eun Ji-soo (Kim Da-som), they team up to solve an elusive case that has been haunting the lives of Ahn, Sung-mo, and Jae-in.
cast
supporting cast

WHAT I LIKE ABOUT IT...
I like the complexity of the relationship between the three main characters. I like that the development of the relationship is a steady build up and that it helps move the plot along. The little side stories of the supporting cast doesn't distract from the main plot but helps enhance it and helps move it along seemlessly. I also enjoy the brothers relationship and how it differs from the other relationships and it isn't too much savior worship relationship one would expect since one saved the other but a more realistic relationship where neither lets the other get a way with a bunch of crap.

So girls if you want to see Jinyoung shirtless I believe it is episode 2 or 3 but heres a gif for you all plus more great gifs.

trailer for he is psychometric

I'm watching this one also.
I have mixed feelings on it. The pace is slow, and with 4 episodes left, I keep wondering if it is going to drag on. I like the whole premise and the supporting characters.

Bride of the Water God- Review
Plot according to Wiki When the narcissistic water god Ha-baek (Nam Joo-hyuk) visits earth in order to find a stone powerful enough to help him claim his throne, he seeks out the help of his servant and destined bride, psychiatrist So-ah (Shin Se-kyung), whose family is fated to serve the water god for generations. The problem is that she has no belief in the gods and initially mistakes him for suffering from delusions. Things get even stranger when the wind god Bi-ryeom (Gong Myung), the water goddess Mu-ra (Krystal), and the semi-god Hu-ye (Lim Ju-hwan) show up to complicate things. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Bride_of_Habaek My Take Water God Ha baek is sent to earth to gather 3 god stones from 3 other gods who were entrusted with them. Which where Moo-Ra and Bi Ryeom, and Joo Dong. He needs to collect the stones before the red times comes in for the sixth time in his world. The high priest also tasks him to find out why the god stones are placed in the human realm. When he first comes to earth he loses the coordinates of the stones, the map, and his powers. His faithful servant and lower god Nam So-Ri tries to help him as much as he can but they can’t seem to find what they are looking for. They find the God’s servant So-Ah and try to awaken her. He doesn’t awake her and So-Ah believes he has mental issues and being a psychiatrist she keeps turning him away to go to a hospital that is better suited to help what she believes is his particular needs. Along the way she meets Moo-Ra and Bi Ryeom. Bi Ryeom happens to be a former classmate of hers. She gets placed in danger because of these gods and Ha baek ends up getting powers back only to save her. So-Ah’s medical practice is endanger but she ends up encountering CEO Shin Hoo-ye who ends up fascinated with So-Ah’s personality. Over the course of the show we find out CEO Shin is part god part human and that the other god’s fear and do not tolerate him. So-Ah’s personality she believes he is a good human and gives him warmth and he ends up falling in love with her but Ha baek is in love with her and Moo-Ra is in love with Ha baek and Bi Ryeom is in love with Moo-Ra. This love square ensures hilarity and risky situations that entertain and break your heart, while still trying to help Ha baek become king/emperor over the god realm. Why I like this drama I really like this drama because the plot moves so seamlessly and kept my attention for all 16 episodes. The actors and actresses did really well portraying emotions and developing their characters. I feel we saw depth and just 2-dimensionals characters we would expect from an adaptation of a magna. The chemistry was great among the main characters and supporting characters and the little side stories enriched the overall plot. I felt that Ha baek character going from arrogant to one that could relate to human was indeed great but the development of Bi-Ryeom and Moo-Ra’s relationship was one that stood out and made me feel happy that they got a happy ending as well. I feel this drama definitely answered all and any questions that it brought to a viewer's mind well watching. It is light hearted at times, funny, emotional, and really endearing. I give this drama a solid 4/5 or 8.5/10. Korean TV, This Is Just Getting Ridiculous
So by now we all know about Produce 101. In case you don't, though, here's a short breakdown: There have been two seasons on MBC (one for girls, one for boys) that takes 101 trainees and puts them through tests and voting until only a certain number remain and they create a new idol group (for a short period of time, then they go back to their original companies. The channel KBS is preparing to take it to the next level. The company is preparing a show currently called "The Final 99 Match" that will take performers that have had the chance to debut, but never found success. There are plenty of idol groups (unfortuately called "nugus") that have never really succeeded. Ideally, this show is where they get a chance to join a new group and get a shot at fame. That's sort of normal and understandable, but this is where it gets absolutely ridiculous. There reportedly will be 250 BOYS AND 250 GIRLS competing. 9 of each gender will survive and be placed into groups (number of groups have not been decided) I understand that idol TV shows are getting popular, much like how American Idol in the States led to The X Factor, The Voice, America's Got Talent, etc etc etc. But 500 people?! When they've already survived the harsh kpop audition and training system to debut? That must be so heartbreaking for all of them. I'd feel less bad if they were complete rookies with zero training but dang, to already debut...its like NU'EST being in Produce 101 right now. So sad for the fans :/ I wish everyone luck and hope it changes some lives for the better but I have a feeling this competition is going to be a heart ache. What do you guys think? source

Taeyang Thursday 🌼
What kind of Drama woud you put members into??? This week we are doing something a little out of the box and sharing what Korean Drama each of the members may be in. Featuring Taeyang, the man who is calm and a total sweetheart and heart throb. In my book what Drama could he be a good one for him. Tempted is a KDrama that looks at the temptation in love, in different ways looking at several different feelings that involve love. What is the Drama about? Many people wish to be the great tempter who has power over love. However, once they actually experience love, they begin to understand that what they once wished for was foolish and useless. In this drama, all the characters are in love just like us. To be frank, they all desire someone. The desires to love and to be loved clash with each other as the story unravels. Some regret the mask they hid behind in front of love and express their disappointment and anger to others. Through love, some learn to love themselves while others get too hurt to stand back on their feet. But then again, through many hardships, some get back on their feet and learn to love once again. Tempted hopes for the viewers to laugh, cry, and go through these stories together. Just like how everyone's interpretation of love is different, this drama wishes that we can all love passionately without any comparisons. I can see him saying both these lines! You think this is a fitting Drama for Taeyang. . .
