Recently, Dalian Road Tunnel is replacing fluorescent lighting with the most advanced LED lighting. The lighting reconstruction project of the eastern tunnel has been completed by the end of January and the Western tunnel is expected to be completed by the end of June. This is the first time that LED lights have been used in Shanghai Tunnel. Dalian Road Tunnel was originally illuminated by traditional fluorescent lamps. There are 778 basic lamps in the East Tunnel and 769 basic lamps in the West tunnel. The power of each lamp is 72 watts, and its service life is about 8000 hours. After modification, the original 75-watt fluorescent lamps will be replaced by 35-watt LED lamps, and the whole lamp life can reach 50,000 hours.
