Mew here, ready to finish up my review of Liv Taylor's extremely expensive beauty regime. This time its the makeup section! yesss..
Liv Taylor: "I feel like my makeup looks are so simple compared to everyone elses, I barely do anything haha"
Me*After watching her 25 STEP VIDEO*:
Anyway, like the previous card, I will be suggesting my own version of similar but less expensive products from brands I have used.
So let's get to it, guys.
Primer and Skin Illuminator
Lately the big thing in makeup has been illumination - gone are the days of matte finishes. we want shiny, we want dewy and we want it now. They are great for giving your natural skin as well as your foundation a glow.
But for less.
What was used: Dr Barbera Sturm Glow Drops - $145
Recommended: Tarte Radience Drops - $32
Sometimes lightweight is the way to go, you can always build up to more coverage later. IMO she went too lightweight, cc cream is not foundation but great for "Not wearing makeup" makeup looks.
What was used: By Terry Cellurose Moisturizing CC Cream - $70
Recommended: Bare Minerals Complexion Correction - $30
Liv recommends using a lipstick brush when applying concealer to problem areas.
What was used: Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage - $34
Recommended: I am a big Laura Mercier fan sooo same tbh
What was used: Rodial Diamond Concealer - $45

For giving warmth and softness to your look.

What was used: Givenchy Le Rouge Perfecto - $37
Recommended: Nivea Fruity Shine Lip - $4
I feel like eyebrows, unless you are using an eyebrow kit, should never be expensive, but somehow she manages to make this expensive too?
What was used: Kevyn Aucoin Precision Pencil - $26
Recommended: Your local beauty store pencil tbh it'll prob be like $3 lol
What was used: Decorte Eye Glam - $24
Recommended: Etude House Eye Shadow - $2
Mascaras are some of the most polarizing thing in beauty, I swear. Some works for some, some doesnt work for some eyelashes.
What was used: Clinique High Impact Mascara - $24
Recommended: Maybelline Lash Sensation - $10
What was used: Glossier Lip Pigment - $18
Recommended: Same, its good for its price and I used to use it a few years ago.
Powder highlighting is very subtle for that "makeup? what makeup? look.
What was used: Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow - $65
Recommended: Imo, if you already using Mac Powder Blush as your blush but desire highlights, you could put 2 steps in 1 and get the Mac Mineralize Blush that has speckles for highlight and color for blush. - $30
So that's how the actresses do it, a lot of money and a lot steps. But hey, they can afford it? And now you can too with my much cheaper suggestions
