Iced Coffee Vs Cold Brew
Can you believe there is a simple difference between creating Iced brew and cold brew?! For my lazy soul I honestly did not want to go thru the wait of making coffee in the morning before my work out, so instead I decided just make it now, refrigerate and have it ready for the morning. Simple idea led to finding that there were actually 2 different ways to create this. one taking little extra process in the morning but that's okay, once I had one style I was ready to try the next! iced coffee style - the ice lol -So the first to do is make the coffee like you regularly do, (for myself I like the pour over technique the best). -once you've made it, put it in a jar, or container, no ice neccessary! it can go in as is. -Add your cream or sugar in now so that it can mix well in. -refrigerate till cold! (if you want it for later in the day go ahead and try it in the freezer, creates a natural frap!) Cold brew style (this is a stronger coffee then previous mind you!) picture explains alot of first process! -This process your going to put the coffee grounds into the jar /container first. - then add the water, I did hot water because I thought it will process faster, you can use cold water too. -Stir it up, shake it up, do a little dance with it! - into the fridge it goes!! keep in there over night, ( at least 12 hours!) Next day steps! - Now you can take it out of the fridge and filter the grounds out! once that's done, add creamer or sugar if you want and it's ready to go!! It's a one step add on but the one step is like one half the process lol. In my outcome, the first process was like drinking my regular coffee cold, not to strong not to weak. The second process, it's got a richer bolder taste, like its STRONG coffee before adding anything but if you have a flavored coffee (I had Irish creme) it brings out more of the flavors. The Christmas Latte to Rule Them All
I've talked about this cafe before, and I'll talk about it again. All That Sweets is hands down my favorite dessert cafe on Earth. Watch my video review here or read below^^ Today I went alone so I passed on a slice of the strawberry shortcake but look how adorable is it! Their cakes are always light and creamy, though the flavors change daily! I've seen chocolate, vanilla, and even kiwi cakes. Instead I opted for one of their amazing macarons. Because I came late in the day, my only option was the chocolate raspberry "merry xmas" heart macaron, but I probably would have chosen that anyway. These flavors also vary with the season but every single one I've ever tried has been absolutely delicious. But of course, the star of the show is my Christmas Tree Latte <3 Their lattes are amazingly intricate, and they have a dozen of them on the menu at all times. The homemade (delicious) whipped cream is covered in melted chocolate, sprinkles, and meringue cookies. I seriously thought I hated meringue until I tried these babies. Now I can't get enough! They sell these for the month of December, and then usually move on to make snowflake or other winter themed lattes. All year 'round they offer rose, raincloud, and even coral styled lattes!
