How do I write a good essay?
How do I write a good essay? A step-by-step guide. Whether at school or during your studies, you will have to write essays and essays over and over again during your school days and practice . Here are the most important tips and tricks to make writing an essay or essays easier! Preparing for an essay Just starting to write an essay can be fun or because of a lack of time, but it usually only leads to the goal by workarounds. In order for your essay to convince your class, your seminar, and above all your teacher or lecturer and be rewarded with a good grade at school or university, you should pay attention to a few things that paperhelp service suggested to me . You will save a lot of work and, in the end, you will save time on your essay if you prepare carefully for it. The effort you put into preparation will pay off later when you write! "The power of moral influence is greater than any power..." (N.V. Gogol) Good preparation includes: Step 1. Read the assignment carefully: what type of essay do you need to write? There are different forms that differ in content, structure, and style. The most common types of essays for high school students: Table of Contents interpretation characterization discussion essay Younger students are usually given different essay assignments to which other criteria also apply. It is more about basic text comprehension , imagination, and linguistic processing of one's own experience. Her essays are basically: Retelling Free stories or Reports of experience. If you adapt to the right type of essay from the beginning , you will save a lot of time and effort in writing and final revision ! Step 2. For your essay gather all the important information about the text you need for your essay, essaylab service can help you gather the necessary information. This includes, among other things, the author's name (ideally with the date of birth and death in brackets), the year of publication, and perhaps the special circumstances under which the text was created. For example, the reason the text was created or the author's intention for your article may also be of interest. If the text is autobiographical, you can also include this information in the introduction. Step 3. Carefully read the text on which you are asked to write your essay several times. As you read, pay special attention to important passages, vocabulary and key words, language patterns such as stylistic devices, and their impact on the reader. Are there any other language features ? This includes, for example, repetitive patterns in sentence structure or how simple or complex the language used is. Infobox: What are stylistic devices? There are various rhetorical stylistic devices that are used in texts to achieve a certain effect. A well-known stylistic device is the rhetorical question. It is a question to which no real answer is expected because it is obvious. Its real purpose is to engage the reader in a train of thought or to induce him or her to think, for example: "Who wants to lose their job?" Other frequently used stylistic techniques are metaphors. These visually voiced statements are intended to clarify or reinforce what is being said with images. Example: "She was looking for a needle in a haystack" means that the person is trying to accomplish an almost hopeless task. Tip: Stylistic techniques are not necessarily welcome in an essay or essay for school or university. Especially if the essay is about a factual discussion of a topic, you should use rhetorical stylistic techniques rather sparingly, especially overly florid and figurative language ! When you write an essay privately, such as for a blog, things look a little different. In principle, in terms of style, anything is allowed here. However, when writing, remember - also for a class/school essay - that stylistic techniques always have a certain impact on the reader. Step 4. Mark everything in the text that seems important to you: underline important sentences or mark key words and stylistic devices in different colors with a marker. Also, make notes about everything you notice. You can use these notes later when you write. Step 5. Structure your notes in an intelligence box. Infobox: What is an mind map? A mind map is a tool you can use to sort and structure your thoughts. Creating it is very simple: write an essay topic in the middle of a piece of paper (example: "Characteristics of figure XY") and use keywords (for example: "appearance", "social situation", "behavior" ) Lines around the subject. Now sort all of the important information you gathered while reading the text into individual key terms. This way you will structure your information, thoughts, and arguments in advance and thus be able to more easily write them down on paper in essay form. The Real Reason for Supernatural Concepts
Remember back in 2013 when Kpop went into full supernatural concept mode? From EXO's Wolf, VIXX's On & On, Boyfriend's Bounce, etc, etc... there were vampires, aliens, werewolves galore. Nowadays in 2016, though, we're seeing a rise to realism. BTS dealing with drugs (I Need U) or Monsta X dealing with totalitarianism (All In) But, why? "Zombies are the perfect metaphor." (source) Basically, using the supernatural has always been a way of talking about real life issues, without actually bringing them up. For example, in Harry Potter House Elves would represent slaves, the discrimination and fear of werewolves represented how ridiculous racism is, etc. Fiction allows us to talk about important issues in a sly way. For example, VIXX's Hyde portrayed them as vampire-like, living in a spooky house and dark forest, growing black wings and almost being taken over by a monster. At its core, this is a song about dangerous relationships. A partner who is emotionally unstable, but charming. Hurting you but begging to have you back. This can be a metaphor for abusive relationships of all kinds. They repeat over and over that "that man isn't me, there is a crazy 'other me' inside of me." Just as abusers usually do after a moment of violent anger. Hiding this message behind the mask of "monsters" and "dark angels" makes it easier to consume and talk about. But take away the supernatural and its a serious issue they bring up. Another great example is Monster by Big Bang. They dress up as literal monsters, but talk about how just because they are different and not fitting into the society's mold they aren't bad people. It's an anthem for misfits, and a message to society to stop being so cruel. So why are we shedding the costumes now? Why are things suddenly more...real? We're done hiding. The problems can no longer stay hidden, we need to talk about them. No more using vampires and ghosts as metaphors, the general public is more comfortable discussing issues like depression, drugs, mental health, discrimination, etc. The move to realism means that we're being realistic about the problems - we're addressing them head on. That being said, there is nothing wrong with supernatural concepts being used to talk about issues! Often people can't understand something in its original form. For example, maybe someone doesn't see the need for LGBTQ+ rights. Give them a love story with a couple that is forced apart, never to be together (perhaps a vampire and a human??) because society says its unnatural. If while reading the story or watching the movie, that person feels upset about this poor couple torn apart by society, maybe they will see the correlation between their belief that gay marriage is wrong. Basically, I think that the constant changing of concept trends is fascinating and it means much more than we think!

DreamWorks Animation Packs A Powerful Punch With New Cast Additions For Kung Fu Panda 3 Bryan Cranston, Mads Mikkelsen and Rebel Wilson Join Original Cast Members for Third Installment of Beloved Franchise in Theaters December 23, 2015 "Pandamonium" is back for a triple kick with a trio of new cast members in DreamWorks Animation SKG, Inc.'s (Nasdaq: DWA) Kung Fu Panda 3 which will be distributed by 20th Century Fox. Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad, Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted), Mads Mikkelsen (Hannibal, Casino Royale) and Rebel Wilson (Pitch Perfect, Bridesmaids) join Jack Black, Angelina Jolie and other original cast members in the third installment of the beloved action-packed franchise. The film, slated for December 23, 2015, marks the first planned co-production with China based Oriental DreamWorks and follows Po, the chosen one, as he continues on his journey mastering the art of Kung Fu… and noodle slurping. Continuing on his now legendary adventures of awesomeness, Po must face two hugely epic, but very different threats: one supernatural and the other a little closer to home. This chapter in the continuing adventures of Kung Fu Panda is directed by Jennifer Yuh Nelson, who also helmed the worldwide hit Kung Fu Panda 2 and remains the highest grossing female director for a film at the worldwide box office. The film is produced by Melissa Cobb, executive produced by Guillermo del Toro and co-produced by Jeffrey Hermann along with Jonathan Aibel and Glenn Berger, who wrote and co-produced the original films and continue in these roles. "Having the wonderful Jennifer Yuh Nelson return as director is incredibly exciting for the studio. Under her guidance I have no doubt that our returning cast and our outstanding new voice talent will take the franchise's story to the next level," said DreamWorks Animation Chief Creative Officer Bill Damaschke. The first two chapters of DreamWorks Animation's critically acclaimed Kung Fu Panda franchise opened in 2008 and 2011. Both films were honored with Academy Award® nominations for Best Animated Feature Film. Together, they have generated approximately $1.3 billion at the worldwide box office. DreamWorks' highly-rated CG animated television series Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness debuted on Nickelodeon in 2011 and has won four Daytime Emmy® Awards.
'Penguins of Madagascar': Meet the Penguins!
I have to admit I was always kind of curious about the Madagascar movies, but never quite interested enough to check them out. For some reason, though, the Penguins of Madagascar spin-off that is now coming out in theaters (November 26) is really making me want to buy some popcorn and put my family's bottoms in some theater seats! I mean, some of the characters are voiced by the likes of Benedict Cumberbatch and John Malkovich. What could go wrong? I did some recon first, and read a Boston Globe review pointing out that the penguins have been a little hard to keep track of. Apparently some of that will be rectified in the movie's opening, which they flatteringly describe: "The film’s cleverest element by far is its prologue, which flashes back to these unlikely adventurers’ pint-size origins down in Antarctica, complete with Werner Herzog (!) popping up as a ’toon documentarian." SO... I decided to make myself a little penguin dossier and get to know these crazy characters before I delve in. Okay, by recon I also meant going to Wikipedia. Regardless, here they are: + Skipper (voiced by Tom McGrath) - This guy is the penguin leader. Skipper is the penguin with a plan who gets them in line and hands out the orders. "Calculating and nearly unflappable, Skipper's raving paranoia and tendency to view even the most ordinary activities as a military operation, combined with his experience in covert ops, has driven him to prepare for nearly any situation, no matter how bizarre or unlikely." Apparently he's also afraid of needles. Every leader needs a flaw. + Rico (voiced by John DiMaggio) - Rico is the penguin who specializes in weapons and explosives. Flippers, explosives, what could go wrong? He sometimes speaks normally, but mainly communicates through grunts and squeals. "Slightly unhinged, Rico swallows useful tools, such as dynamite, and regurgitates them when needed, to the point of regularly regurgitating objects that appear to be too large for him to have swallowed in the first place. He has been referred to as a psychopath in several episodes. He is shown in some episodes to be in a relationship with a beautiful, female doll called Mrs. Perky." I love this guy already. + Kowalski (voiced by Jeff Bennett) - Kowalski is the strategist and gadgeteer of the crew. "Kowalski is a brilliant inventor, but he cannot read (although he does carry around a clipboard upon which he records drawings of their plans). He also tends to over-analyze situations and has created many amazing devices which have put the team in danger." Like Skipper, this penguin also has a weakness - he is afraid of going to the dentist. + Private (voiced by James Patrick Stuart) - Private is the younger, less experienced and more emotionally sensitive rookie of the penguins. However, he is also the most down to earth (doesn't seem that hard, considering the others). "Private tends to offer simpler, more commonsense solutions in response to Skipper and Kowalski's complex strategies (although he also shows an unusual interest in unicorns on occasion)." Fun fact: "Private speaks with a middle-class British accent (as opposed to American voices for Skipper and Kowalski), much in the spirit of English-soldier characters in popular World War II films." I didn't miss any penguins, did I? Who is your favorite?
I Was Stalked and Filmed on a Subway? :(
Recently I had a very creepy experience on the subway. A had a very odd man sit next to me and start filming me secretly (though obviously not so secretly since I noticed) He also tried to follow me but luckily I tricked him. For more info you can check the video below. **this is not common AT ALL in Korea, it only happened to me in Seoul because that's where I live. This could, and does, happen all over the world no matter what culture~** What I hope you take from this: 1. Be aware of your surroundings at all times. If someone sits next to you (even if it seems totally normal) just take a millisecond to recognize that - don't just stay zoned in on your phone. 2. If you feel uncomfortable - get up and move. I didn't do this but I should have. I didn't need to "prove" he really was creepy, regardless of if he was or not, I have every right to just move away. 3. If someone made you feel uncomfortable, trust your gut and keep an eye on them in some way. If I hadn't noticed him earlier, he might have followed me off the train without me knowing. 4. Let someone know where you are and what was up. Even if its just texting a close friend that is dependable "hey I'm at XYZ bus stop, there was a weird guy on the bus lol" just so someone knows. In case something happens to you, it could help people find you. 5. If you see something weird happening to another girl, try to do something. When I see guys getting too close to girls on crowded trains I always try to make it seem like I'm with the girl too so he's outnumbered, or I stare them down so they know they aren't being sneaky. Be safe out there everyone, and just be alert :)
