Problems Faced in Automation in CDM
Standardization of data Data should be standardized before automated sharing. It will lead to a faster collection of trial evidence and better analysis, enhanced transparency, faster start-up times, increasing the predictability of data and processes, and easier reuse of case reports across different studies. Take Clinical Research Training to understand better about on ground Problems faced by the Industry. Interoperability of EHRs for automation Although the use of EHRs has not been optimal, they have yielded great benefits at low costs and less time and presented significant possibilities for research. The collection, organization, exchange, and automation of data depends on the effective use of electronic health records (EHRs). However, EHRs have a history of poor interoperability and insufficient quality control and security of data. The way data is stored in these records often varies across institutions and organizations. Sharing the data becomes a struggle since there is no standard format for EHRs. Learn the best Clinical Research Course. Improvement in AI and automation Artificial intelligence (AI) has great potential to identify eligible patients for clinical trials. However, the reality is quite different from expectations. The major problem has been the development of sophisticated algorithms. Other barriers include the unstructured format of data and how to integrate that data into the clinical workflow of stakeholders. Clinical trial stakeholders can indefinitely benefit from a data exchange network, particularly one established between clinical trial sites and sponsors. The network would collect and analyze data before sharing it with relevant stakeholders, improving overall quality. Sponsors shall be able to share important information with sites, including draft budgets and protocol documents. At the same time, sites shall be able to update sponsors in real-time on impending matters, such as patient registrations. This would ensure an unhindered flow of information through integrated systems. However, sites should remember that not all information can flow freely and should be careful while sharing protocol-specified data with sponsors. EHRs have protected health information (PHI) and non-protocol-specific data, which would put patients’ confidential data at risk if shared.

WHO’s International Clinical Trials Registry Platform (ICTRP)
People from more than one country and one medical or research institution can participate in a clinical trial. Different countries have different clinical research requirements, so one clinical trial may be enlisted on more than one registry. That clinical trial shall appear on the database of more than one registry. However, data on various clinical trial registries varies. . Take Clinical Research Course from the Best. The International Clinical Trials Registry Platform (ICTRP) is a global initiative by WHO, responsible for linking clinical trial registers worldwide for ensuring a single point of access and the apparent identification of clinical trials. This was done with the view that participants, patients, families, and patient groups have easy access to information. The ICTRP was established with the aim to make information about all clinical trials that involve humans publicly available. It also aims to achieve the following: ● Improving the comprehensiveness, completeness, and accuracy of registered clinical trials data; ● Communicating and raising awareness of the need for registering clinical trials; ● Ensuring the accessibility of registered data; ● Building capacity for clinical trial registration; ● Encouraging the utilization of registered data; and ● Ensuring the sustainability of the ICTRP. . So what causes acne? When the pores in your skin start getting clogged with oil and dead skin cells that’s when it starts developing acne. These pores are connected to sebaceous glands, which in result produces an oily substance known as sebum. The extra sebum can boost sebum growth that in result leads to the growth of bacteria called Propionibacterium acnes or P. acnes. Our white blood cells attack P. acnes, which leads to skin inflammation and acne. The cases of acne can be severe than regular ones, but some common symptoms include whiteheads, blackheads, and pimples too. There are a lot of factors like genetic, hormone change, diet, stress, infection contribute to developing acne. Nevertheless, let us see now how you can cure your acne problem at home. 1. Integrative Balance Approach
Over the years of treating patients with various injuries and discomfort, we have clearly observed a persistent issue with our present-day health care practices. Most of the standard treatments for physiotherapy in Singapore and many other countries are focused on solving the immediate symptoms and injuries, but little effort has been spent on identifying and intervening the underlying root causes. This has lead to sub-optimal outcome for chronic injuries or recurring pain management.  Consolidating years of clinical experience and taking reference to the best practices in Chinese Medicine and Western medicine, our founder Mr Yan Yong (Michael) has conceptualized the Integrative Balance Approach of human function. We have been consistently helping thousands of patients recover from chronic injuries and body aches, and live a pain-free life. The Integrative Balance Approach of human function means that in order for our body to exert force effectively to complete various tasks, the body must achieve balance of several factors at the same time, as shown in the following diagram:  When the body position or movement habits are not following the integrative balance principle, certain parts of the body will have to bear excessive force loading, or move excessively beyond the healthy range, thus leading to injury and pain. Different error movement patterns will lead to different injuries. Based on the Integrative Balance Approach principles, we have formulated a streamlined treatment process that systematically helps our patients correct their movement errors, and adopt healthy habits that is optimized to perform their functional tasks. We use various manual therapy techniques and specific exercises training, with optional use of therapy modalities to treat our patients. Treatment plans will be set based on our findings from physiotherapy assessment, and customized to each patient.
Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Symptoms
TBI EXPLAINED Traumatic Brain Injury, TBI, occurs in three general ways; the head being struck with force, the head striking an object, and/or the brain undergoing movement within the skull yet without visual trauma to the exterior of the head. TBI is sometimes broken down into two categories: closed head injury (CHI) and open head injury (OHI). CHI refers to damage to the brain that does not involve exterior trauma to the head. OHI is a visible injury where damage to the head and brain is much more evident. Regardless of the type of injury suffered, TBI is often a very serious condition that can have devastating effects for those who suffer the injury and their loved ones. In fact, brain injury is the leading cause of death and disability among children and young adults. When the brain is damaged at the point of impact, it is referred to as a coup injury. A contra coup injury refers to damage opposite the point of impact. The individual brain fibres are damaged when the brain moves inside the skull (known as shearing) and causes the fibres to stretch and tear. The fibres can also be damaged as a result of pressure changes caused by the movement of the brain in the closed skull cavity (referred to as cavitation). What are the causes of Traumatic Brain Injury, TBI? The most common cause of traumatic brain injury involves automobile or motor vehicle accidents (accounting for nearly ½ of all TBI cases). The second leading cause of traumatic brain injury deaths is from firearm-related occurrences. The second leading cause of non-fatal brain injury occurs when someone falls. While falls can occur in everyday life (such as with unsafe equipment or surfaces), the most common instance is during sports-related activities. Some of the more common activities include tackle football, rugby, skiing, skateboarding, bicycle riding, horseback riding, etc. While it is nearly impossible to predict or prevent when a traumatic injury will occur, the use of protective gear such as airbags, safety helmets, and alcohol abuse training can greatly reduce the occurrence of traumatic brain injury. Who’s At Risk for Traumatic Brain Injury, TBI? Practically speaking, anyone can befall an accident that results in traumatic brain injury. The leading cause of traumatic brain injury varies according to age and demographic group. TBI due to falling is most prevalent among younger children and older adults. Conversely, motor vehicle crashes more often involve individuals between the ages of 15 and 35. Within this demographic, males dominate the group. The typical TBI sufferer within this category is the adventurous, consumer of alcohol who drives fast and lives life on the edge. Causes of brain injury in children include falls, abuse, recreation accidents, and motor vehicle accidents. Very young children are most susceptible to "Shaken Baby Syndrome" can cause a closed head injury. Other examples include falls from shopping carts, accidents involving children in "walkers," and falls from windows. Elementary/school-aged children are most often injured in recreational accidents, playground falls, SUV rollover accidents and/or bicycle accidents. The severity of Traumatic Brain Injury, TBI The disability that an individual sustains depends upon the portion of the brain that was injured. Because the frontal and temporal lobes of the brain are exposed to the sharp protrusions of the inner aspect of the skull they are most prone to injury. Data from certain sources indicate that somewhere between 20 - 30% of traumatic brain injuries that occur each year are severe enough to result in lifelong disability. Symptoms of TBI Traumatic Brain Injury can have myriad effects on different individuals. Some of the most common outwards symptoms and effects include: Impulsive behaviour Loss of memory Impaired perception Personality changes Loss of taste and smell Diminished concentration Hearing and balance disorders Cognitive fatigue Concussion Coma Epilepsy Common Symptoms of Traumatic Brain Injury, TBI, Explained Common sequels to head injury include balance or equilibrium difficulties. These are tied to problems with vision and hearing. Head injury sufferers often experience post-trauma vision syndrome that often includes a subclassification known as midline shift syndrome. The effect of midline shift syndrome includes a constant sense of disequilibrium, difficulty with the maintenance of balance, and inappropriate posture and weight distribution on the balls of the feet, as well as an inappropriate gait and directional drift. Many patients who experience this complain that their perception of the world is a little off; they may perceive the horizon as slightly tilted, walls may be tilted or constantly compressing in upon them. Severe brain injury can often involve emotional ramifications such as alterations in mood and erratic behaviour. Patients often need to see a neuropsychiatrist (a psychiatrist specializing in brain-related disorders) in order to address these problems and/or obtain the appropriate medication to stabilize the mood of the brain injury sufferer. It is also very possible to become dis-inhibited towards social incidents and scenarios; this can include basic biological urges. Damage in certain areas of the brain, such as within the limbic system, can serve to increase a person’s sexual arousal. Other neurologic damage, especially in the areas of the frontal lobes, can result in a person becoming dis-inhibited in their language and action towards strangers. Brain injury sufferers often have difficulty processing information correctly -- making it difficult to attribute cause and effect to their actions or being unable to distinguish rational action due to competing stimuli in the brain. Communication skills such as the ability to handle the subtleties of language or interpret non-verbal signals may occur. Mild brain injuries can also reduce problem-solving skills of an individual. Traumatic Brain Injury, TBI Is Not Always Cut and Dry Traumatic brain injury survivors oftentimes suffer minimal outward physical manifestations of injury (especially in the case of closed head injury). Physicians and other health care professionals often paint rosy outcomes for their recovery of the patient. The result is that many do not receive the care and treatment that they need to address the physical, cognitive, psychological, and social impairments that they’ve undergone. Generally speaking, the medical community is not well trained in neurobehavior and doctors often fail to diagnose the short-term and potentially chronic aspects of closed head injuries during a regular office visit. Outside of the regional head injury treatment centres, neurologists do not often treat trauma victims. For their part, neurosurgeons themselves have referred to only the most severe cases of acute disorders and coma. Clinical trial phases
Clinical trials are a type of research conducted to study new tests, treatments, and drugs and evaluate their outcomes, side effects, and efficacy on human health. There are various medical interventions, including drugs, biological products, radiological procedures, devices, behavioral treatments, surgical procedures, and preventive care in which people volunteer to take part. Take the Best Training in Clinical Research. Clinical trial phases Biomedical, clinical trials include the following four clinical research phases: ● Phase I of clinical trials usually studies new drugs for the first time in a small group of people to evaluate a safe dosage range and identify side effects. ● Phase II of clinical trials studies test treatments that were found safe in phase I of clinical trials. However, phase II is conducted on a larger group of human subjects for monitoring any adverse effects. ● Phase III of clinical trials is conducted in different regions and countries and on larger populations. Phase III is the step conducted right before a new treatment or drug is approved. ● Phase IV of clinical trials is conducted after a country approves, but there is still a need for further testing efficacy in a larger population over a longer timeframe. . Take Clinical Research Course from the Best. There are various guidelines outlined by different international and national organizations for ensuring careful design, review, and completion of the process. Clinical trials require approval before they can even begin. People of all ages, including children, can volunteer to participate in clinical trials. However, various guidelines direct the participation of people in clinical trials. These guidelines can relate to underlying health conditions, side effects from other drugs, and so on.
