Black powder is a low explosive substance made of charcoal, sulfur, and potassium nitrate (saltpeter). It is employed in some ammunition and muzzleloaders in addition to being a propellant in fireworks and pyrotechnics. In general, purchasing black powder necessitates a federal explosives license or authorization under the federal explosives laws at 27 CFR, Part 555. However, black powder is excluded from these laws according to 27 CFR Part 555.141(b): -That is commercially manufactured. -In quantities not exceeding 50 pounds. -Is intended to be used solely for the sporting, recreational or cultural purposes in antique firearms or antique devices. For the above-mentioned uses in antique firearms or antique devices, commercially made black powder may be purchased and used in quantities not to exceed 50 pounds without the need for a federal explosives license or permit. If a person produces black powder for their own individual, non-commercial use and it is not a "commercial" product within the meaning of the exemption, they do not need a manufacturer's license. However, the black powder created must be handled in accordance with the relevant legislation. Additionally, anyone planning to carry any black powder that does not fit the aforementioned criteria for exemption or who plans to purchase any amount of black powder for any other reason, such as for use in fireworks or pyrotechnics, is required to get a federal explosives license or permit. Additionally, these people are required to keep the black powder in an explosives magazine that complies with Part 555 standards. People that manufacture, import, or deal in any volume of black powder are not covered by the exemption. Therefore, these individuals are required to acquire a federal explosives license, store the black powder in line with rules, and keep track of their purchases and disposals. Recall that black powder that does not satisfy the requirements for exemption in 27 CFR 555.141(b) is considered a low explosive under 27 CFR 555.202 and may be kept in type 1, type 2, or type 4 magazines, as well as in type 3 magazines for temporary attended storage. Explosive items must be moved to type 1, type 2, or type 4 magazines for unattended storage rather than being left in type 3 magazines (day boxes). No dwelling or residence shall be used as an explosives magazine, and no building shall be used to store more than fifty pounds of explosives. Security Awareness Retail staff members who sell black powder should be aware that these components could be utilized in bombs. Black powder dealers are strongly encouraged to build ties with their local law enforcement agencies by the ATF, FBI, and DHS. We advise that industry participants include reporting suspicious activity and being aware of it in official employee training programs. Individuals do not need a manufacturer's license if they manufacture black powder for their own personal, non-business use, and the black powder produced is not a "commercial" product within the contemplation of the exemption. It must be stored in compliance with the appropriate regulations. 2. Requirements for Other Purposes An individual or company purchasing any amount of black powder for any other purpose, including for use in fireworks or pyrotechnics, or who intends to transport any black powder not meeting the above conditions for exemption, must obtain a federal explosives license or permit. Such persons must also store the black powder in an explosives magazine compliant with the regulations at Part 555. The Impact of Black Powder on the Defense Industrial Base The US Department of Defense (DoD) recognizes the importance of black powder in the defense industrial base. Through its DPA Title III Program, the DoD is dedicated to ensuring the timely availability of essential domestic industrial resources to support national defense and homeland security requirements now and in the future. 유월에 좋아하는 친구 두 명이 회사를 떠났다. 2년간 함께 일했던 ㅎ은 오랜 고민 끝에 퇴사를 결심했고, 6개월간 내 앞자리에서 반짝이던 ㅇ는 계약이 만료되어 학교로 돌아갔다. 예정된 이별이었지만, 나는 사람에 큰 의미를 두는 인간이므로 당분간 빈자리를 볼 때마다 적적해할 계획이다. 때마침 장마도 시작됐으니 바야흐로 센티멘털해지기 좋은 계절이다. 상황과 계절 핑계를 앞세웠지만, 실은 매 순간 인간관계에 대한 고민을 일정량 이상 껴안고 지낸다. 본격적으로 관계에 대해 고민하기 시작한 때는 아마도 고등학생에서 대학생으로 넘어가던 겨울이 아니었나 싶다. 수능 끝난 수험생이었던 우리는 시간을 때우기 위해 학교 운동장에 있는 동산을 산책 삼아 오르내리며 쉴 새 없이 떠들었다. 주로 미지의 영역인 대학 생활에 대한 상상이었다. “대학 가면 진짜 친구 사귀기가 어렵대. 거의 다 겉 친구래.” “고등학교 때 사귄 친구가 오래간다더라” 같은 소리를 하며 이상한 의리를 쌓았던 기억이 난다. 하지만 막상 고등학교를 벗어나 만난 관계에서 생긴 말썽은 예상과 전혀 다른 종류의 것이었다. 친구를 사귀는 일은 의외로 어렵지 않았다. 운 좋게도 내가 속한 집단마다 성별이나 나이에 관계없이 친구가 되는 자유로운 문화가 있었다. 덕분에 나는 놀랄 만큼 쉽고 깊게 새 친구들을 좋아하게 됐다. 다만 문제가 있었다면, 관계의 지속 시간이 너무 짧았다는 거. 급하게 가까워진 친구는 여름날의 반찬처럼 쉽게 상했다. 하고 싶은 것도 해야 할 것도 많은 이십 대 초반에는 일상의 중심이 자주 바뀌는 법이니까. 일정표를 채운 단어가 ‘동아리’에서 ‘아르바이트’로 바뀌었다는 이유로, 서로를 소울 메이트라고 불렀던 친구와 별일 없이 멀어졌을 때. 봉사 활동을 하며 한 달 동안 동고동락했던 이들이 하나둘 인사도 없이 메신저 단체방을 나갔을 때. 나는 놀이터에 홀로 남은 아이처럼 처량한 기분을 맛봐야 했다. 그때 손에 꼭 쥐고 있었던 주인 없는 마음은 미처 식지 못해 아직 따뜻한 상태였는데…. 비슷한 일을 몇 번 겪고는 매사에 계산적으로 굴고 싶어졌다. 스쳐 지나가는 관계에 연연하는 촌스러운 애가 되고 싶지 않았다. 그래서 ‘어디에 마음을 두어야 상처받지 않을 것인가’하고 머리를 굴리는 일이 늘었다. 언젠가는 모두에게 마음의 문을 닫은 채로 지내기도 했다. 누군가 좋아진다 싶으면 혼자 지레 겁을 먹고 뾰족한 말로 선을 그었다. 그렇게 애를 써도 역시나 마음은 계획대로 되는 게 아니어서, 좋아하는 사람과 적정 거리를 유지하는 일은 어려운 수학 문제 푸는 것처럼 매번 어려웠다. 어쩌다 한 번 정답을 맞춘 뒤에도 비슷한 유형의 다른 문제에서는 또 헤매야 했다. 그 방황을 끝내준 사람은 뜻밖에도 스물셋 겨울 함께 토익 공부를 하던 언니 오빠들이었다. 보통 토익 스터디에서 만난 이들과는 지극히 사무적인 관계를 유지하기 마련인데, 그때 만난 사람들과는 예외적으로 합이 좋았다. 수업 전후 짧은 대화를 나눌 때마다 다정한 기운이 깃들어서, 머리로는 ‘어차피 곧 다시 못 볼 사람들’이라고 생각하면서도 어느새 그들을 좋아하고 있었다. 수업이 끝나던 날 했던 처음이자 마지막 회식은 육년이 지난 오늘까지도 선명하게 기억이 난다. 그날 나는 언제라도 다시 만날 것처럼 화기애애한 분위기가 어쩐지 야속해서 내내 꽁해 있었다. 그리고 비뚤어진 마음을 숨기지 못하고 한마디 했다. “어차피 오늘 지나면 만나지도 않을 거잖아요.” 흥이 깨질 것을 각오하고 뱉은 말이었으나, 과연 좋은 사람이었던 언니 오빠들은 어른스럽게 나를 달랬다. “꼭 자주 봐야만 인연인가? 길 가다 만나면 반갑게 인사할 수 있는 사이가 된 것만으로도 엄청난 인연이지!”그건 찰나의 대화였지만 이제껏 관계가 변하는 속도를 따라가지 못해 상처받았던 느린 마음을 위로하기에 충분한 온기였다. 아, 현재진행형이 아니라고 해서 좋아했던 마음까지 깎아내릴 필요는 없는 것이구나. 그동안 오늘 손에 쥔 관계까지만 유효하다고 생각해서 마음이 가난했던 거구나. 예상했던 대로 우리의 관계는 그날로 끝났다. 대신 눈이 많이 내리던 겨울의 술자리는 기억 속에 잠겨 있다가, 내가 관계에 회의감을 느낄 때면 슬그머니 떠오른다. 그리고 다정했던 언니 오빠들처럼 내가 너무 인색해지지 않게 다독여준다. ‘지속되지 않아도 설령 끝이 나쁘더라도 한때 좋았던 관계를 깎아내리진 말자.’ 다시 유월에 했던 두 사람과의 이별 이야기로 돌아가자면…. 우리는 분명 매일 사무실에서 얼굴을 부딪칠 때보다는 멀어질 것이다. 곧 무언가 일상의 가운데를 차지할 테고 지나간 이는 자리를 내주어야겠지. 그래도 우리가 주고받은 다정한 쪽지나 사진 같은 것들은 여전히 남아 있으니까. 괜찮다. 마음을 쏟길 잘했다. 마음을 홀가분하게 해주는 주문 현재진행형이 아니라고 해서 좋아했던 마음까지 깎아내릴 필요는 없다 출처

So maybe the vacuum cleaner you've got at home is powerful enough to clean your living room carpet, but is it strong enough to help you scale a wall? LG and 2015 U.S. Extreme Rock Climbing bronze medalist Sierra Blair-Coyle collaborated to create this incredible stunt - where Sierra uses the company's new cordless vacuum to scale the wall of a 460-foot, 33-story building in South Korea's Songdo International Business District. You're going to want to see this. (And try this at home. But don't. Don't try this at home.) Also, props to the camera crew who followed her the entire way up. Because I'm terrified of height. And this is a big NOPE. In the end, the experiment turned out to be a success, and Sierra proved that having two LG cordless vacuums strapped on your back is certainly the best way to channel your inner Peter Parker when you can't make those spidey webs on your own.
