Nocturnal Creature Jun Myeon 56

NCJM56 "A Lost Child, Found"

[For future reference: Present Day chapters in Regular type; Past/Memory chapters in BOLD ITALIC; P.O.V - REGULAR ITALIC]

Note: Posting as I go...
Jun Myeon came to a stop on the edge of an island in the middle of the Pacific. The night air was warm and tropical, his still frozen joints were starting to warm up and melt. He swung his arms around, squatted a few times, rolled his neck making it crack, trying to the cold out of his joints.

He walked along the beach under the full moon light. He could see off in the distance, there was a party going on. That was good, he thought, maybe he can blend in, find that one person who's a little too intoxicated to realize that they are taking a night troll with a vampire, too intoxicated to realize he's drinking from them… Or, he could just fly down and snatch one up and take them high up and drink them dry. Because at this point, his thirst was insansible. He hasn't drank blood in, how long did D say, its been five years.

He approached quietly, in a friendly manner. People were laughing and having a good time and sure enough, there were at least a couple people more intoxicated than the rest. One man, one woman, a married couple, drinking, they were starting to get on each others nerves, Jun Myeon watched as their mood escalated to the point where one staggered off into dark. He got up and followed.

He followed until he saw the man lose his balance and stagger into the tree line. He quickly followed. The man laughed at him, sitting on the ground, covered in sand. Jun Myeon said nothing standing over him, an easy catch.

He picked the man up, who blinked and before he could say anything, Jun Myeon sunk his teeth into him, covering his mouth with his hand to keep him from screaming too loud.

Jun Myeon's eyes rolled up with pleasure. The taste of blood squirting into his mouth, and flowing down his throat was the most heavenly thing ever. It tasted so good, he didn't mind the taste of alcohol, he felt his body perk up. When he felt the man's life draining, he dropped him. He stretched his hands to the sky, he couldn't believe how unbelievably good he felt. He wanted more, every part of ached for more... and just his luck, he heard the man's wife calling to him.

Jun Myeon stepped out of the dark trees, right behind the lady. She stumbled a little, calling her husband's name in that tone that says 'I know you're here, where the fuck are you'. Jun Myeon followed her closely, the scent of her perfume and alcohol mixed was sour and old. He drew so close to her that she felt his breath in her neck, she whirled around, her drunken eyes widen with surprise and shock.

"You son of a bitch, who the fuck are you?!" She said tumbling backwards before landing on her bottom. She gazed up Jun Myeon, frustrated at the fall and his sudden appearance.

"I'm sorry… Were you looking for someone?" He asked. He stopped and looked down at her, his hands clasped behind his back. He didn't want to seem like he was going to pounce on her.

At this point, she could scream and people would come running. He looked around, he could see the bon fire blazing high down the beach, he didn't realize how far he was from there. He calculated, that no one would have heard her scream at this distance. He looked back down at her and smiled.

"Yes." She huffed getting up off the sand. "I'm looking for an asshole about this tall, fat fucker…"

Jun Myeon pointed into the tree, "I saw man back there, passed out while he was taking a leak. Maybe that's him. Although, he wasn't a fat fucker." He smiled even more.

She narrowed her drunk eyes at him and marched past him into the trees. He followed her.

"Where are you?" She called, stumbling from time to time, "dammit, damn You! You always ruin everything!" She stopped and looked back but didn't see that guy she had spoken to, he was gone, 'useless men' she mumbled, she thought he would've helped her since he was the one that saw her husband last. 'my husband is just the same' she mumbled again. Her head was starting to clear a bit, and she realized she was lost. It was quiet as she tried to listen for sounds. She couldn't even hear the ocean anymore. Then she heard branches breaking behind her, "hello…"

She swallowed the saliva in her mouth that was tinted with alcohol still, her throat went dry, all she could hear was her own heart beating.

"hello….is someone there?" She said quietly. She screamed when she saw something step out from behind a tree. It was a small being as high as her hip. It nearly scared her to death until she realized that it was a little girl. "Oh my God! You scared me! What are you doing out here?!" She screeched.

The little girls face looked frightened.

The woman apologized, and kneeled down, offering her hand to come closer, "I'm sorry little one, you just scared me, I didn't mean to yell at you. Are you, out here by yourself?"

The little girl nodded, she rubbed her one eye cutely, and seemed to sob a little, "I'm looking for my dad… "

Who: Reader x Monsta Woo ( Kim Young Woo) x Christian Yu What: Smut/ SPY AU Story: Just because I'm telling you this story, doesn't mean I'm alive at the end. Chapter Eight Rick and John had given me patterns for Taeil. Where he lived, who was around him, however; Taeil wasn't a creature of habit, his schedules were scattered and very crammed. He was too guarded in his life for men to confront him in public. I had considered doing it in his car however, even if I hired someone to drive his car that day, there was going to be too much red tape to get pass. Remember, my goal wasn't just to kill Taeil it was to get him to expose all the others he worked with. The NIS was already looking to take down Changmo. If all of his people were compromised, the NIS would look into everything they did and with their lives at stake I was sure someone was going to sing like a canary. Dong Gab's men had taken out two police commissioners and the news was calling it a calculated hit. The White Fang were intelligent and I know for a fact that Taeil was feeling some what secure knowing some of Changmo's men were being taken out. The cases were going to be cold, if Dong gab and his men were smart enough with their choice of weapon and how they discarded it. Not to mention the judges were dirty too, they'd probably dismiss the case if the evidence was too circumstantial. I expected them to thoroughly clean the car as well and change the license plate. It would be worth changing the color of the car too. Most criminals didn't go through so much to cover up or to get around being caught, however, those criminals at times got caught even if it was thirty years later or so. That's why I went through so much trouble to change my looks when I knew I would be seen by someone and couldn't avoid it. If I could distort my looks enough that someone did see me, it would be very hard to capture the real me. We sat down in the living room trying to come up with a way to get me into Taeil's home. John was bringing up the blueprint of his home so that I could make a plan. What we were able to observe was that he had at least ten different security guards at his home. He had two in the front and two in the back. There were two that stayed by his side but we weren't sure where the other four were stationed. We considered that he might've just had guards walking back and forth to keep the perimeter. The other situation we had to worry about was his wife. It was no real secret to anyone, mobster or otherwise, that Taeil and his wife weren't the closest couple in the world. There was a report that they had started sleeping in separate bedrooms. Mrs. Moon wasn't my target, there would be no reason to kill her unless she could ID me. Taeil was the only one I wanted. "There's something else I've been meaning to ask you." John said from the computer. I was sitting on the edge of the couch cleaning out my guns with Rick. "What's that?" I asked. "How do we know there isn't someone that's going to wipe all of his files? Even the people that he works with, once they're outed they'll be looking to get rid of any evidence they have." "Good point. I could make him back it up on a hard drive." "You have no idea how much data that'll be. You won't have time to select what to take and what to lose." Rick said. They made a good point. Tapping into his computer remotely would've been difficult too. The only other option I could think of was seeing if Woo or Christian were able to get me anything that could possibly steal all of Taeil's data. "Even if you were able to do that? There's still the matter of time." John said. "You think the NIS doesn't have something that can upload that fast? I have to be able to squeeze in getting the documents and his confession on tape and then I have to kill him. There's a lot to do." "I think that's his point Roo." Rick retorted. I looked to him to see the slight concern over his face. He straightened up and swiped his hand down his chin. I didn't see this look on Rick too often. John just watched from his seat but I could feel the atmosphere in the room shift. There was something they needed to say. "What?" I said. "It's just- you've always been the one to charge into danger without a care. I mean you cared what happened to your unit but when it came to your own well being-" "We're just worried that you're over estimating your ability this time." John finished. I looked at John almost insulted but then I laughed it off. "Look, I know I've been out of the game for a while but I haven't lost my senses. I know what I'm doing. I know who and what I'm going up against." "The problem is you don't plan on coming back. The only way you see yourself getting out of this is to die." John came back at me. He was frustrated more than I was used to seeing on him. I suppose they had been holding in their emotions for a while. I was so nonchalant about dying, about the possibility of me dying that I didn't consider how it was making them feel. When I faked my death the first time, they had no idea it was coming and now they had first hand knowledge that this death might be the real deal. I could only sigh at his frustration. I looked over to see Rick was looking at him as well before he turned back to me and said, "We just don't want to lose you Roo." I was touched. I smiled and leaned forward pushing all of my weight on to his body and giving him a big hug. I looked to John and waved him over to me. It took him a moment but when he came over I gave him a big hug too. I held them close to me for a while before I finally said, "I love you guys so much. You're my family." I pulled away to look them in the eyes. "But I've dug myself deep into this hole and this is the only way I can hope to get out. I don't want to die," I caressed both of their cheeks, " but I really want this to end." Rick took my hand and kissed my palm. "Alright enough of this lovely dovey shit. Let's get to the plan." John said. I laughed at him as he made his way back to his computer. I took a time out to call Christian and meet up with him. I let him know I had a way to implicate all the people working with Changmo in the government I just needed a way to transfer the data to him. He had me meet him by the Han bridge. We walked together but even next to him I was in disguise. He held my hand as a way to secretly pass the device to me. "Woo's been worried about you." He said. "Worried about what I'll do?" I said sarcastically. "That's not fair. We still have a job to do. We're risking a lot by looking the other way when it comes to you." I stopped walking and looked up at him, "I never asked you to do that." "I know." "Then why did you?" He touched my cheek and it was the gentlest touch I had ever felt from him. I smiled at him and he chuckled. "We love you, it's worth the risk." "Does he still trust me?" "He wants to." "But he doesn't." I said. He fell silent for a moment. He shook his head a little. I didn't blame Woo though. If the rolls were reversed I'd probably feel the same. "Do you?" "I'm trying to." "Well, it's going to get a little messy but I'll get the job done. Just make sure you protect those people on the list. I'll make sure you get the evidence you need to charge them." "Keep them alive, that's all?" He smiled. "That's all, love." I patted his cheek and then leaned up to give him a kiss. I wrapped my arms around his neck bringing him down towards me more. I kissed him like he'd been out to sea for months and I finally had him back in my arms. "I love you." I whispered. He brushed his hand across my cheek. "Make sure you come back home." He said. I nodded and walked away. Rick, John and I came up with an entry way for me. I had a tranquilizer to knock out one of the guards and I wore a scrambler similar to the one I wore at the restaurant. I dressed up in all black, making sure to cover my face as well. I had purple contacts in this time. I even wore black gloves so that I couldn't leave finger prints. Rick and John maintained a safe perimeter outside of Moon's home. The guards were still out watching even before Moon showed up. His wife had already been in the house. For a while, we were playing the waiting game, all I needed was for Taeil to show up. John was able to track when he left his last meeting and how long it would be for him to arrive home. With his signal, I finally snuck my way onto the property. Night fell, leaving me to blend in with the darkness. I took to one of the blind spots of the house and made a slight noise so the back guard would come over to check it out. When he came over to me, I shot him with the tranquilizer and caught him before he fell to the ground. He was heavy as all hell though. I leaned him up against the side of the house for the moment. "Yah! What is it?" The guard asked from the other side. I waited for him to come closer, I could see his shadow from the back light. He walked around and I shot him with another tranquilizer. I only had so many I could use but these two were the ones I really needed them for. I dragged the one guard on the side behind the house. Rick came to the edge of the yard to help pull them away for me. "You good?" He asked me. I nodded and headed back to the house and through the back door. The house was extravagant, the way I expected it to look. I had to be careful making my way through the rooms though, Taeil had a maid cleaning as well. I would rather not have to kill her. If she saw me, I'd have to knock her out and hide her some where. She passed from one room to the next and I waited a few seconds before checking both ends of the hall. I made my way to the room she was in and peered past the threshold to make sure she wasn't looking. I moved as quickly and as quietly as I could to pass her. I was able to get upstairs without her coming out of the room to check. I was nervous she might think I was Mrs. Moon and come to speak to me. I got to Mrs. Moon's room and shot her with a tranq dart as well. She was at her vanity table brushing her hair when I got her. I slipped inside the room and moved the covers and slipped her inside the bed. I wasn't sure of their customs but just incase Taeil dropped into his wife's room I wanted to make sure that he wasn't alarmed by her slumped over on a chair. She was merely asleep was all. I had to make my way through the house until I found the office he worked in. I used the little device that Christian gave me, I hoped it would work the way he said it would. I put the chip into the USB port, Moon's computer was already on but he wasn't logged in, I just needed him to log in and then I could get him to extract all the evidence I needed and even if he refused to do it willingly all I really needed was him to log into the computer and I could find the rest. I heard his car pulling up about ten minutes after I had gotten into his office. I could see from the window he had two men by his side. I was able to sneak in from behind without his front guards seeing me but I wondered where the others were. I hadn't seen them yet. Rick, John and I had ear pieces that were connected to each other. I quickly whispered to John and Rick, "Any sign of the other guards?" "Not on my end." Rick said. "One on my end." John said lowly. So where were the others? Were they coming in later for different shifts? I didn't have time to explore that because Taeil was headed up the steps and I needed to be ready for him. My gun was loaded and cocked ready to shoot. It seemed like it took forever for Taeil to step inside but he came inside alone, which worked for me. He closed the door behind him not even noticing me as it slammed shut and he went to his computer. I locked the door and he finally looked up to see me. He looked angry but I could see the subtle glare of fear in his eyes. "Who are you? What are you doing here?" He asked. I walked up closer to the desk, my gun raised in the air, pointing at his chest. He looked like his heart was going to jump out of him. Had it been someone else, had he not crossed Changmo so many times, he might've stared down the barrel of my gun and dared me to shoot but this time he knew... He had lost this war. "You know what I came for." I said. His face became harder, "Do you think you'll get out of here alive? You're one among many. Even if you do kill me, my allies won't stop until they find you." "Dong Gab doesn't care about your life anymore than Changmo does Taeil. You're a pawn that only thinks you're king. Face it, it's checkmate." His hands tightened into fists, the look of stress over came him as his jaw tightened. He was angry, he knew he couldn't get out of the situation and to think that police commissioner's that worked for Changmo were recently killed, he really did think he had the upper hand. "I need something from you," I said. He looked at me oddly. "You're going to die either way so I can at least offer you a quick death," I pulled out a small tin circular box and tossed it to him. "Cyanide pill. It'll take you out quick but first I want you to give me all the documents you have on the people working for Changmo." "Why would I do that?" "There's nothing better than screwing a man over from the grave, wouldn't you agree?" Taeil chuckled a little. He looked at me suspicious though, "You want to go after Changmo? Why kill me then?" "Don't think you can make a deal with me Taeil. I was hired for a job and trust me, I value my life much more than yours but I hate Changmo just as much. There are plans in place Moon. Trust me, you'll be better off dead when everything goes down. " He hummed in agreement and his eyes fell on the box I tossed to him. "Maybe so." He opened it up slowly and looked at it. "What will you do with them?" He asked "Expose them and then kill the Devil." Taeil chuckled, "I'd love to see that." Taeil looked to his computer and started to log in. It was incredible to see how easily he had accepted his death though. Moments ago he was terrified but now it seemed like he was relieved. Changmo had successfully poisoned him once and that was only as a warning. Taeil tried to oppose Changmo after that still but he was less aggressive in his tactics. Taeil was vengeful but he was paranoid after that. At the end of it all, I think Taeil wanted the war to end but he knew it would end with his blood because Changmo always got his targets. He just was that good. I could've choose not to kill him but I made a deal with Dong gab too. I was able to last long in this game with the cards I was dealt.... I felt like I'd meet the same end too though. "Do you have something to take these files with you?" He asked. "Already connected to your computer." I said. "Your thorough." He stopped typing and looked at me, "The files are loading. Will you leave me to die in peace or would you like to watch?" He asked. "I need you to do one more thing before you take that pill." "What's that?" I pulled out the burner I was using, it took videos and that was all I needed. "I need you to implicate them, all of them." He smiled, "Making my guilt viral?" "The NIS will investigate these people and with those documents, they'll be able to ruin their lives. Changmo will lose." "I don't have a choice do I? You're going to leave with me dead one way or another," I nodded in silence. "Then do me one favor. When you kill Changmo-- make it hurt" he said. I smiled behind the mask, "You can count on it." I was a little suspicious of how easily Taeil was taking his immanent death. I was half expecting him to press a button under his desk and his guards to come charging in. When they found their leader dead, they'd be in a frenzy but how long would it take for them to find him dead, I wondered. Getting out of the house would prove to be harder than getting in it seemed. I pulled out my phone to record Taeil's message. "To those of you it concerns, I must apologize. I started in this business to help people but I've strayed far from that. You see for years I have been working with mafia members, the main Boss I've been working along side and more recently against is Ku Changmo. The trade bills that have been passed have put certain businesses in a position where they would need to go to Changmo. His trading company benefits highly from the bills being passed and in turn I earn a cut from him. Changmo controls Seoul's streets because of this. He also controls many people in our justice system." Taeil's address was formal, he didn't seem to regret any of his actions though. I think we were similar in some way. We enjoyed being bad, it was in our nature to defy society's expectations of us. I recorded him as he listed off names of Changmo's men and then he smiled. It was the smile of some who had won a battle. Taeil's death was supposed to be a victory for Changmo but Taeil was aware that if he took his own life on his own terms and he was screwing over Changmo even in his after life than he was winning, even if it was just the one battle. Changmo would be furious and when all of this hit the news, I knew for a fact I would be dead. "And now, it's time for me to say goodbye." Taeil said He pulled out the cyanide pill and popped it in his mouth and swiftly, his life was snuffed out from him. I ended the recording and walked over to the computer grabbing the USB from his computer. I opened the door, peering out to see if there were any guards around. I didn't see anyone walking around so I hurried and made my way over to the steps. I then saw two guards walking in the foyer. They looked as if they were headed up the steps. Quickly, I hid myself behind the side wall hoping not to be spotted. I honestly thought I was breathing too loud. I was nervous and the adrenaline was making my body quake. I was loving it, I really did want to kill his guards. I couldn't even hate that about myself. I wanted what I wanted, that's why I went to the military, that's why I joined Changmo, that's why I had two boyfriends. Danger was the very thing I lived for. The guard made it to the top step and started to walk down the hall where I had come from Taeil's office. The guard must've had something to say to him because he knocked on the door calling for Moon. I didn't close the door all the way though and the door cracked open. Enough for him to see the dead body of Moon Taeil. He hurried into the office and I could hear the alarm in his voice. He was calling over what seemed like a radio. He was spitting out orders, check the house, someone go to mrs. Moon's room and make sure she's okay, someone call the ambulance, Moon Taeil is dead. Suddenly the sound of scrambling feet was coming from downstairs. Heavy steps came up the steps and I knew now I was going to have to fight and that made my blood run. As soon as the next guard hit the top step, he turned and saw me. "Hi." I smiled. He held his gun up and a shot was fired, I moved out of the way pushing his arm to the side in time for the bullet to miss my head. I landed a powerful front kick into his stomach sending him back, the sound of him almost puking hit my ears. He aimed the gun up again but I shot him before he could fire anything. I tried to hurry to grab his gun until a hail of bullets came up at me. The banister to the stairs was being lit up and wood was flying as I ran shooting down at the guards while I went for cover. I hurried behind the wall on the opposite end of where I was. I heard the guard from inside the office coming out and I quickly aimed to shoot. The other guards were coming up the steps so I hurried into a room to break them off. I was able to shoot the guard from the office twice, one in the leg, close to his ankle so he couldn't run another one hit him in the side. I found myself in another bedroom and I grabbed a short lamp off the side dresser. The door came busting open and I slammed the lamp down on the guard's head. The second guard aimed to shoot so I pushed the one I knocked over the head into him. It was a lucky case of friendly fire as that guy's body had shielded me from the second one's bullets. I ran out to shoot the guard, putting one in his head when someone from the far end fired shots at me. He shot me in my arm and I had to jump back and go back into the room for cover. I tried peering out and shooting but I was out of bullets after a few misses. "Fuck." I ducked down to my shoe to grab the knife I always kept with me and waited for the guard to approach. He got smart and fired bullets though the wall so all I could do was duck. I waited as he came closer to the door. When I knew he was between the door, I kicked the door and slammed his arm between it. He dropped the gun and I swung the door open and aimed to stab him. He weaved out of the way, I slashed to the right and he blocked, I slashed to the left, he blocked again. I swung down from above and he crossed his arms above his head, his and my arms clashed as he blocked my stab once again. He kicked me in the stomach sending me hurling back. The guard I shot earlier was coming towards us, aiming his gun at me. He went to shoot when I flipped over and used a dead guards body to shield me. The other guard came after me again and I lunged upwards to stab him, I got him in the arm but he grabbed the hand holding the knife with his other hand and hit a pressure point, making me let it go. He kneed me in the stomach and I fell to the ground, I turned over to see him trying to stomp on me and I rolled out of the way. The last guard aiming to shoot at me fired again just barely missing me as I flipped myself up on my feet. I started to move around again, drawing the one guard into another room to fight me so that I didn't have to worry about the crippled one firing at me. I kicked the leg of the guard I was fighting. He buckled and writhed for a second; he was great at ignoring his pain. He used his good arm to jab at me with my knife but I caught the blade between my hands before he could stab me. I used my elbow to push his arm inward and it took it's natural bend. I grabbed his head and kneed him in the nose then grabbed his wrist and whipped around behind him wrapping one of my arms around his neck. I used my other hand to steal my knife back from him. The grip from my arm was tight enough that I was cutting off the guard's airways. He was turning purple while the guard with the shot leg had made his way to use and held me at gun point. "Try it, I'll only use your buddy as a shield." I told him. I supposed he thought his co-worker was already a deadman so he shot anyway. He shot him in the chest and blood started to spill out from his mouth. I pushed the guard up and kicked him towards the other guard. He was able to push the guard out of the way but I threw my knife at him. The knife struck him right in the forehead and he dropped to the ground dead. I hurried into the other room to grab the gun the one guard had dropped. I needed to make sure that I had a weapon if more showed up, I also stopped to take back my knife in the guards forehead. I hurried down the steps feeling my gut tense in pain. My body felt a little sore from the hits I endured. I hurried out the back way just in case but the sound of sirens in the distance came to my ears. I headed through the back path where we had hidden the other two guards at. I used my ear piece to communicate with the guys. "Where the hell are you two?" I said running. A car sped up along the back road and stopped while the tires screeched. "Get in." John said. I hurried and opened the back door and got in the car. Rick looked back at me, "You got hit?" He asked. "Nothing a little vodka can't handle." I smiled. "What now?" John asked. "Now, we release the statement." I said. I pulled out the usb and handed it, along with the phone, to Rick. "I need you to make sure this gets to Woo and Christian. I can't guarantee that they won't try and stop me from confronting Changmo if I give this to them myself." "You're kidding, you're going to confront Changmo?" John said. "You didn't say anything about that, are you doing this by yourself?" Rick said. "Of course not. The enemy of my enemy is my friend." I grinned. So Dong gab better be ready to move his men in on the Devil's territory. Kino Fanfic (Part 4 of 4)
Title: Friendship Contract Genre: Romance, Comedy Word Count (For Part One): 4,306 Parts: Part One, Part Two, Part Three, Part Four Rating: PG-13 (for mentions of alcohol, profanity, mentions of sex (however there is no smut)) Main Characters: Kang Hyunggu (Kino), Lee Jina(OC) Minor Characters: Yan An, Kim Hayoung(OC), Jung Wooseok, Adachi Yuto, Lee Jiyoon(OC), Kim Dayeon(OC) (Even smaller appearances by Yeo Changgu(Yeo One) |Because this story is so long I've divided it into FOUR parts. Each part will come out over the next four days~| Disclaimer: I do not claim all of this storyline to be mine, as I relied heavily on the plot-line from the movie 'To All The Boys I've Loved Before' but not all of the plot-line is from that movie. PS: Go watch that movie, it's amazing! Also if you notice any mistakes please let me know! Part Four: When we got on the bus the next morning I smile towards Hyunggu who had an open seat next to him. As everyone sees me get on the bus a few people howl and clap. My heart drops into my stomach, did they know? I quickly sit down next to Hyunggu and glance at him. “You didn’t tell anyone about last night, did you?” Hyunggu sends me a questioning look. “No of course not.” He hums, leaning his head down on my shoulder. As he does I make eye contact with Dayeon who had just stepped onto the bus. She has a small smirk on her face but I ignore it. Don’t entertain her Jina. You’re better than her. - When we arrive back at the school I head to the back of the bus while Hyunggu collects our stuff from the seats. Mr. Oh hands me my luggage and I turn around coming face to face with Dayeon. She smiles at me. “Did you have a fun time last night?” My smile drops. Did she see? “You see I did too whenever he came to my room last night once you were back in yours.” She smirks and I felt as if every ounce of trust I’ve built in him was threatening to fall. “I don’t understand what you mean? Hyunggu and I are just friends.” I reply lying through my teeth. I mean I didn’t exactly know what we were after last night. But I’m sure friends wasn’t the answer. “Friends don’t do what you two did last night, unless of course you’re a slut and do that often.” She laughs and shrugs. “I wanted to warn you that he came to my room, but if you’re,” she raises her fingers into the air to note she was being sarcastic. “‘Just friends’ then I guess you don’t deserve to know.” She slinks off right as Hyunggu comes off the bus. My heart settles in my stomach as he comes to stand before me holding out my backpack. I take it into my hands. “Did you go to Dayeon’s room last night after you met with me?” I say getting straight to the point. He eyes me sheepishly raising his hand to rub at the back of his neck. “Uh yeah-.” “Are you kidding me?” I cut him off. “What do you take me for?” “Jina, you’re-.” He starts but I shove his luggage into his arms. “Enough, Kang Hyunggu. Just stop.” I say quickly stepping back as he took a step forward. “This,” I gesture between us. “It was never going to work out.” “Jina.” He states his eyes boring into mine. “Today is the last day of the contract, in,” I glance down at my watch. “Ten minutes the contract is void anyways.” “Jina, at least let me take you home.” He says frantically. “Give me a chance to explain things.” “No,” I say firmly. This was what I was the most afraid of. Giving someone my heart and them breaking it and walking right out of my life. I wouldn’t allow him to walk out of mine, I would leave first. “Yanan wait!” I rush past Hyunggu to Yanan’s side who is confused as to why I’m doing so. I grab onto Yanan’s arm and tug him towards the parking lot. “What’s going on?” He asks confused. “I don’t want to talk about it right now, can we go?” I say refusing the urge to glance behind me. “Alright.” He sighs. - Yanan pulls up to my apartment complex and sighs turning to glance at me. “Are you going to tell me what happened?” I was afraid. Afraid that if I talked about it I’d cry. I take a deep breath and glance at the clock. “The contract between me and Hyunggu is over.” “What why?” Yanan asks shocked. “I don’t really want to talk about it.” I mumble. “I feel like an idiot.” Yanan rests a hand on my knee. “Whenever you’re ready to talk I’m here.” I nod. “Thanks, Yanan.” He smiles. “Now let’s get inside.” - Jiyoon, Jiseok, Yanan, Hayoung, and I sat around my kitchen table. Jiyoon was rolling cookie dough into cookies and handing them to Jiseok to put on the pan. We were all laughing about the first failed batch of cookies Jiyoon had accidentally burned while she was distracted talking to us. Jiseok sits down the fourth cookie onto the pan and huffs. “Hurry up Jiyoon, these cookies should be done by the time Hyunggu gets here.” I swallow at Hyunggu’s name. I’m sorry Jiseok but I don’t think he’ll be back. I knew he had taken quite the liking towards him. Yanan glances at me noticing I’ve gone quiet. Hayoung notices as well. I open my mouth to speak. “Uh listen, guys...” The doorbell goes off and I quickly shoot up. “I’ll get it!” I rush off to the door shaking my head as I open it. There my gaze was met with Hyunggu’s. I quickly glance back inside before pushing him back so I can join him outside. “What are you doing here?” I immediately question him. “We need to talk.” Hyunggu says, a look of hurt evident on his face. I sigh and move down the hall a bit so they couldn’t hear us talking from inside. “Look, just so you know nothing happened between me and Dayeon.” Hyunggu states his facial expression suggesting he was serious. I shake my head. “Then why did you even go to her room in the first place?” My hand goes out into the air as I talk. My body language easily showing I was angry. He sighs. “Dayeon and I dated for a long time you know that, I was confused over my feelings for her when I first met you.” He pauses. “Those feelings I had for her were genuine, they just aren’t going to magically go away.” My heart cracks once more. I hated him, I hate that just a sentence from him could tear me apart. I rest my hands on hips. “Well it’s good then that they haven’t went away, now that I’m finally out of the picture not causing any misunderstandings between you two you can finally get back together.” He opens his mouth to speak. “I’m tired of my heart being played with, especially after trusting you so much, Hyunggu.” I say, my hands sliding off my hips. “When I signed that contract, I wasn’t expecting us to talk after a month. My thoughts on that may have changed throughout the month but right now they are back to how they used to be. We were never meant to be friends.” “No, you don’t get it.” Hyunggu speaks up. “Last night was...” I felt a twinge in my gut. “Last night was a mistake.” I blurt out cutting him off. Hyunggu’s face twists at my words. “I shouldn’t have done that, I knew I was being an idiot by going down there whenever the contract ended today. I should’ve held out.” My hands roam up to hug my torso. “Physical stuff might not be a big deal to you, but to me it is.” Hyunggu’s eyebrows crease. “Who says it’s not a big deal to me?” I snort. “Everyone on the bus? They all applauded you this morning? You didn’t even do anything about it?” He sighs and glances away. “Look Jina...” “Hyunggu please, just leave.” I say looking down. The door to my place clicks open and Yanan steps out into the hall. Hyunggu glances at him and back to me. “Look can we just go inside and talk?” “Hyunggu she asked you to leave.” Yanan steps to my side. I glance at Yanan. “I’m fine, go back inside.” He shakes his head. “No, it’s alright.” Hyunggu’s eyes form into a glare as he nods. “Are you serious?” I glance back at him confused. “This isn’t about Dayeon and me, it’s about you and Yanan.” He says running a hand through his hair. “So, what, after you used me to become friends with him you dump me? Is there something going on between you two?” I look at him confused. Dude the only time I’ve ever had a crush on Yanan was in like fourth grade? Why would I like him now? The door opens again, this time Jiyoon and Hayoung are peeking out of the door way. This wasn’t how I pictured this going. He laughs. “Did you lie to me about the concert tickets too? Was the whole fake friendship contract just to get to Yanan?” Yanan laughs under his breath. “I don’t get what any of this has to do with me?” Jiyoon glances at me. “Your friendship with Hyunggu was fake?” Her face screams betrayal. My heart constricts again. “Jiyoon...” “I spent my entire rent for this month on those tickets for you? And the friendship was fake?” She backs away as I step towards her. “All I wanted was for you to break out of your shell but you lied to me.” She takes off as I move closer slamming the door in my face. I turn around in anger. “Hyunggu, go home.” Hyunggu seems reluctant but knows that that was enough. He glances at Yanan before glancing back at me. “Before I go just know that I wasn’t playing with you.” He says being sincere. Once his back is turned finally a tear slides down my cheek. What just happened? - I sat in my room a half hour later. Jiyoon was in her own room. Hayoung and Yanan were with my brother waiting until my dad arrived. I was debating on what I should say to Jiyoon. I felt terrible. At the time of the contract I didn’t even think this would happen. I didn’t realize how much this meant to her. I didn’t realize she’d spend so much on me. I sat on my bed chewing on my lip. My phone dings letting me know I have a new message. I sigh standing up to pull it off of my desk to read. It was a text from an unknown number. I open it, it was a link to a post. I click on it and it took me to Instagram where there was a video of me and Hyunggu on the beach. I quickly click on the video so it will play. It starts right before Hyunggu pulls me onto his lap. And ends shortly after the second kiss started. “Oh my god.” My heart almost stops. - Seconds later I find myself knocking on Jiyoon’s door. She was sitting at her desk when I came in, she glances back at me. She rolls her eyes, she looked to be packing her bags up to head back to college. “Jiyoon, I need your help.” I say softly. She notices my tone and groans. That let me know she was going to give in and forgive me. Whether it be right now or soon. We were still sisters. “What?” She huffs throwing the shirt she was currently folding down. I sheepishly pull out my phone, unlocking it, pulling up the video and turning it to face her. Her eyes widen as she watches it. “Oh wow.” Her eyes flit up to meet mine and I could feel my cheeks go red. She pulls the phone from my hands and my hands immediately join together nervously. “Well I mean it’s not like you’re naked or anything and the area isn’t well lit.” She nods glancing back up at me. “I mean you can totally tell who Hyunggu is, but it’s harder to tell who you are, you know if you hadn’t of been tagged. I’d say it’s worse for Hyunggu.” I shake my head. “It’s never worse for guys.” I bite my lip as Jiyoon sits my phone down. Right at that moment Yanan and Hayoung came rushing upstairs. I’m assuming they just saw the post themselves. I shake my head trying to keep tears from falling. “God why did I let this happen? I’m such an idiot.” I move to lie down on Jiyoon’s bed. Jiyoon sighs. “Don’t call yourself that.” She huffs pulling me back into a sitting position. I pout. “I know you’re only talking to me because I accidentally made a sex tape and you feel bad.” She shakes her head. “I do feel bad for you.” She pauses. “But I still don’t understand why you lied to me?” I let out a low breath. “Honestly part of it was because I’m selfish and really wanted those tickets but another part of me was afraid to admit that I was afraid to make friends.” “That’s what I really want to know, why are you afraid to make friends?” She rests an arm around my shoulder. I glance down at my lap. “I’m just...scared that I’ll lose them, like mom.” Jiyoon glances at Yanan and Hayoung who quickly come towards me pulling me into a group hug. Once they’ve pulled back Jiyoon smiles. “Mom would hate to see you isolate yourself for just that reason.” I nod. “I know, and I obviously learned that making friends is a good thing.” She sighs. “I don’t understand why you haven’t told me of this fear before?” I swallow. “I haven’t really told anyone, well except for Hyunggu.” I glance down as I say his name. “I just didn’t want people to know my weakness.” She smiles. “I mean I am still slightly disappointed in you for lying but I’m glad you’ve come clean. I got to the point where I wasn’t sure if you’d begin to push me away once I left for college.” I snort. “We’re sisters I could never push you away. Besides look what happened while you were away at college.” I gesture out into the air. “I made a sex tape and I haven’t even had sex.” We both snort, Yanan and Hayoung laughing as well. “Come here.” Jiyoon pulls me into a hug. - At school on Monday Hayoung, Yanan, and I walk down the halls together. I held my head high as I walked. I didn’t want them to know that them talking about me got to me. As we round the corner towards my locker we stop noticing a big crowd around it. My eyes brows knit together in confusion. I rush into the crowd to find my locker. There written in red was the word slut and a picture of Hyunggu and I kissing at the beach was stuck on it. Everyone was staring at me as I came to a halt and stared at what was there. Hayoung pushes her way beside me and I hear her tongue click pissed off. I push back out of the crowd, why was she doing this to me? As I get out of the crowd I brush past Hyunggu who immediately grabs my arm. “Whoa whoa, what’s going on?” I rip my arm from his and glare at him. “So, what, you’re just going to play along with them? You aren’t going to say it isn’t true? You just let everyone believe we had sex?” I raise my hands out into the air. Hayoung emerges from the crowd the crumpled-up picture in her hands. She spots the two of us and stomps over. “I bet you’re happy the video leaked.” I say, moving to turn away. As I’m turning I catch a glimpse of Hayoung shoving the picture into his chest. “Are you going to do something about this?” She growls following behind me. “Hey, everyone listen up.” Hyunggu’s voice raises. I stop down the hall to listen to what he’s got to say. “Not that it’s anyone’s business, but nothing happened at the beach.” He pauses glancing around. “If I hear anyone talking about Jina or that video, I’m going to to kick your asses.” “Understand?” He says his eyes connecting with mine. Hayoung snorts sarcastically. “Job well done, Kang.” Hyunggu comes running down the hall towards me and I turn to walk away. “Whoa wait.” He says as I stop walking. “Look, I am really sorry about everything. If I knew who did this...” I snort cutting him off. “I know who did it.” I say staring at him like he’s stupid. “So should you.” He slowly nods. “Yeah okay, I’ll talk to her alright?” I scoff. “No, this is something I’ll handle myself.” I push past him. - I don’t see Dayeon right away after that. It isn’t until the passing period between second and third that I see her. She’s heading into the restroom so I head in after her. When I walk in she’s checking herself out in the mirror. I walk right up to her and she rolls her eyes. “I know you posted that video.” I raise an eyebrow towards her and she laughs and turns to face me. “Nope, wasn’t me.” She backs away from me and smiles. “But just so you know, if you have sex in a public place, you’ve gotta be ready to deal with the consequences.” “It’s bad enough that a guy would do this but when a girl does it? Don’t you think that’s awful?” I say looking at her. Girls should stick together? More often than not we are the ones being attacked for things like this. She shrugs. “Well I didn’t do it, so you’re harping at the wrong person.” She moves to walk past me. “I’m glad someone did though, just shows who you really are.” I squint towards her. “What?” “You’ve acted like you’re miss innocent since grade school. It was as if I was the only one who noticed you weren’t.” She jabs a finger in my direction. “Hyunggu isn’t as confident as he seems to be, I’m not as tough as I pretend to be and you,” She pauses crossing her arms over her chest. “You aren’t as innocent as you pretend to be. You stole my boyfriend from me.” I roll my eyes. “You guys have been broken up for over four months? I’ve only been on Hyunggu’s radar for one month.” She shakes her head and laughs. “You think he hasn’t noticed you before a month ago?” Her hands flying out angered. “Jina stop playing innocent, we’ve all three went to the same school since elementary school.” “That doesn’t mean anything, I haven’t talked to Hyunggu before a month ago. And even then we were only friends.” I exclaim. She growls, shaking her head, clearly fed up with me. She storms out of the bathroom and I’m left alone. - I sat on the couch next to Yanan and Hayoung after school three days later. “Thanks for coming over guys.” I smile towards them. They both smile back. Jiyoon had left for college again this week so it was just us now. “I still can’t believe you made out with Kang Hyunggu.” Hayoung shakes her head. “I didn’t know you had it in you, and with Hyunggu of all people? I mean not that I wasn’t expecting it to happen because it was beyond obvious you two liked each other but it’s still weird because of all people I didn’t expect you to end up with him?” I sigh glancing at her. “Yeah me either.” “Are you ever going to talk to him again?” Yanan asks drawing my attention to him. I sigh, I mean I honestly didn’t know. “I don’t know.” “You should.” Yanan nudges me. “I agree with Yanan.” Hayoung intervenes. “You seemed happier when he was around.” “I did?” I look between the two of them. They both nod. “Yes of course, you’re so blind to everything.” Yanan sighs. I send him a glare. “You also told him things you’ve not told anyone before. I think that means wonders, you found someone you can tell anything to.” Hayoung states patting my knee. “Plus, you’re still obviously in love with him.” I shove her hand off my knee. “Yah.” She laughs at me and I shake my head. “He probably doesn’t want to deal with me anymore.” “Or he’s just you know waiting for you to come talk to him? I mean you’ve shut down every conversation you’ve had with him for the past few days so he can’t really do anything.” Yanan sasses me. Sassy Yanan would always win. “Alright alright. I’ll go talk to him.” Yanan and Hayoung stand up and walk out of my apartment complex with me. Hyunggu would probably be at his, Yuto, and Wooseok’s place tonight. Not his mom’s. So I head towards it. Yanan playfully sniffs as I walk away. “They grow up so fast.” I roll my eyes at him. “I know it seems like just yesterday she was curled into me for movie night.” Hayoung sniffs as well. Yanan laughs. “Go make us proud parents, Jina.” “Oh so your married now?” I wink at both of them. Hayoung scoffs. “Me marry him?” Yanan snorts. “What’s wrong with me? It’s you that’s weird!” I left them to their bickering. One day they could end up together but who knows? - I arrive at the Hyunggu’s place fifteen minutes later. I quickly knock on the door and wait for someone to answer. It takes a minute until the door is clicking open. Behind it stood Wooseok. He seems surprised that I’m here, he didn’t wear his usual bright smile when I arrived. He probably thought I was here to yell at Hyunggu again. “Oh hey Jina.” He offers me a smaller smile that usual. “Hey is Hyunggu here?” I ask biting my lip waiting for his reply. “Yeah, he’s upstairs in his room.” He puts his thumb up and over his shoulder to point behind him. “Can I talk to him?” I swallow, this almost felt as if I was asking his parent’s permission to see him. Wooseok steps aside to allow me room to enter. “Yeah sure, just please don’t hurt him too much.” I nod and walk past him and up the familiar stairs until I stood in front of his door. It was already open and I could see Hyunggu. He was lying on his stomach face to the side staring out the window on the opposite wall from me. I step inside the room and slowly sit down on the bed. The dip in the bed causes Hyunggu to roll his head over. He freezes when he sees its me. “Hey.” I say awkwardly. “Hey.” He replies sitting up a bit to rest on his arms so he can see more properly. “I-uh came here to tell you something.” I let my hands rest on my knee so I can grip onto something while I say this. Hyunggu nods. “Go ahead.” I swallow nervously before letting my eyes meet his. “I like you, not in fake way and not in a friend way. I just...like you.” There is a moment of silence before I sigh. “I just wanted to let you know that, so I’ll,” I gesture towards the door. “Just leave now.” I move to the side of the bed to leave but his voice stops me. “Don’t leave.” He murmurs, I stare towards the door waiting for him to continue. “I think I can finally explain myself now that you aren’t mad.” I turn back around to face him. He’s no longer lying down, he’s sat up straight and is closer to me now. “The reason I went to Dayeon’s room that night was to end things. I don’t know if she got the wrong idea by sitting with me on the bus but she was trying to flirt with me all day and I wanted to make it clear to her that I wasn’t interested.” I stare at him as his adam’s apple bobs like he was nervous. “For a majority of this month it’s only been you, Jina. You were never someone to mess with for me. I may have not been over her when we first met but that quickly changed. To me you were just the person I needed, I can tell you anything and I just, I’m in love with you Lee Jina.” I bite my lip as I felt it curving into a smile. “You are?” “Mmm.” He hums moving closer. He leans down kissing me straight on the lips. I wrap my arms around his neck as his hands move to my hips, he slowly pushes me down to the bed hovering over me. However, our moment didn’t last long. “I’m just making sure you’re not kil-oh shit sorry.” Wooseok’s voice tears us apart. “Have you guys ever heard of closing the door?” Hyunggu flies back off me and huffs throwing one of his pillows towards Wooseok who laughs backing out of the doorway and into the hall. “I’m glad you guys are good again. It wasn’t the same when you two weren’t up each other’s asses.” He screeches as Hyunggu hops off the bed to chase after him. I laugh to myself as Hyunggu stops at the doorway. He too laughs before closing the door and turns around. He has a smirk on his face. “You know the contract hasn’t really ended right?” I squint sitting up. “What do you mean?” His smirk widens. “I still have the second request that hasn’t been fulfilled.” “Yah Kang Hyunggu!” I cross my arms over my chest. “I said nothing sexual!” He laughs and comes forward. “You still think so lowly of me!” He sits down beside me and nudges me with his shoulder. “I was gonna suggest a date night or something?” I stare at his lips, my eyes flickering to his eyes. “I think that sounds like a good request.” -END- (Author's Note: Please give me feedback on what you thought of it!) -- If you wish to be tagged in the Pentagon taglist please let me know! -- Gorilla Mod Squad: @awkwardjazzy @Halsyeon @MelissaGarza @MaeLyn Universe Taglist: @Josyy7 @ZephyrBlaze @Helixx @SweetDuella @SugakookieV @IsoldaPazo @CrystalBlunt @KarenGuerra93 @LemonLassie @mitchix5 @Sailynn @AimeeH @EvilGenius @ibMIMI @Starbell808 @karinamiranda81 @sukkyongwanser @KpopBeat @Viresse @ImHayley @KierstinAndrews @JasminMartinez @Starbell808 @SierraBecerra @CrookedShadow @AkiraCornett @Changkyunie @Infinitysky @InfiniteKiss @QueenyCrossGene Please let us know if you'd like to be tagged or untagged! He was at work himself and you didn't expect him back until later on that night. The absolute silence killed you so you played soft classical music in the background just to help your work flow. Then a sound of shattering glass startled your heart. Blood pumped through your veins as if it were fleeing from the danger as well. Your face warmed, your ears reddened and your breath seemed hard to catch. Should you say hello and alert whoever it was that you were there? Should you hide? Would they come into your bedroom? You were terrified, so many times you and Jongin watched criminal shows about murders happening. Jongin always teased you that something like that happening to you was less likely. Your community was relatively safe. At that moment, safe wasn't even close to what you were feeling. You could hear the sound of shoes crunching against the glass. You couldn't think for a few minutes, not even long enough to turn off the music. You heard the sound of your drawers opening, chairs being moved along your hardwood floors. Someone was violating your home. You were finally able to stand up but each movement you made sounded loud in your ears like the very sound of your legs straightening to stand weren't just audible but an alarm sounding that you were in your room. You made your way to the window opening it so that you could sneak out. This window was over the roof of the patio. You climbed to the edge and tried climbing down the side of the post. Your feet hit the ground and you could finally feel yourself shaking. You checked your pockets to realize you didn't have your phone on you so you ran. You ran as fast as your feet would take you and as far as they could carry you without looking back. You got to a shop in the city, they sold superstitious paraphernalia. The shopkeeper saw your look and came over to you. Of course, he had seen your look of worry as a way to sell you items of good fortune. When you told him you didn't have money on you, he was ready to kick you out of the store. You begged him to use his phone to call the police, your place was broken into and you were afraid to go back home. When he didn't seem to budge, you promised you'd come back with your boyfriend and buy something from his shop, as collateral, you let him take the watch you were wearing. It was now a month later and you were stuck with a very useless and ugly cat figure statue in your living room. It was the closest thing to affordable in his shop that wasn't a key chain, heaven knew you had enough key chains to supply a small town. Working from home was no longer easy for you. The burglar had gone through your panty draw, rifled through your things, tossed them around your room without a care and left you feeling utterly violated without even being touched. The photos of you and Jongin had Jongin cut out and some of your jewelry was missing, the police were still working on the case. Jongin thought maybe it was a stalker; you thought it might've been someone trying to make it look like that. You didn't have anyone in your life that had a reason to stalk you. The police agreed with Jongin though and asked for a list of anyone that may have a grudge against you, anyone you worked with, anyone you used to date. You and Jongin had been together since high school. You hadn't dated anyone else other than him. The whole situation was stressful and had left you feeling hypersensitive. You had changed from an out going person to someone that was always on edge. You were scared, was it really a stalker? Until they caught him, you could be being watched at all times. What if it was a coworker? Maybe one of the people you did editing for. All of this just to screw with your mind? You couldn't be sure but it always felt like someone was watching you. "Hey Y/N you wanna get sushi with us tonight?" Chae asked. Chae was a co worker of yours at Legends Press publishing company. She was a pretty girl, she always kept her hair dyed honey blonde. You two talked a lot but there was a rumor around the office that she had a crush on Jongin for a long time. You considered Chae a friend even after hearing that rumor. You were used to women falling for Jongin but after the break in, some part of you couldn't help but suspect that maybe she set it up to get back at you. The more you tossed the theory around in your mind the less sense it made but you were scared. "No thanks Chae. I gotta get back home tonight Jongin said he's got some surprise for me." You regretted saying that as soon as it came out of your mouth but Chae didn't seem the least bit bothered by it. "Okay, well see you tomorrow girl." She smiled bright and waved goodbye as she strutted off in her short black heels. You sighed as you looked down at yourself in a sweater and jeans. It wasn't often you questioned what Jongin was doing with someone like you but sometimes, when you saw Chae, who was dressed to the nines, like she was groomed to be in high society, in her black pencil skirt and her white button down shirt tucked in to show her small waist, you couldn't help but wonder if she'd look better standing next to him then you were. You rolled your eyes at your own thoughts. Chae was beautiful and nice but Jongin was yours and if he wanted to be with someone else he would've left you a long time ago, that you were sure of. You took the train home, playing rap music in your ear from your pandora. You would stare off into space for a moment before you brought yourself back to reality. You looked around wondering if the stalker was there? Were you still being watched or did they get what they came for. You looked at the faces on the train, older men that looked too tired to work, young women, some of them with young children. There were teens in a group laughing with each other, their school uniforms giving away which school they went to. Most of these people were absorbed in their own lives, none of them looked even slightly interested in you. That didn't stop you from looking over your shoulder as you got off on your stop. You headed home taking the other ear bud out of your ear. You were looking at everyone's face questioning everyone in your head. By the time your reached home you sighed, "Babe I think I'm going crazy." You tossed your keys down at the table up front and kicked off your shoes. You hung up your coat and walked into the living room to see someone that wasn't Jongin sitting on your coffee table. Instantly, your heart jolted out of your chest. This couldn't be the guy, you didn't even know who he was. The one sitting in front of him was Jongin and he turned around to see you. He stood up with a smile, "Oh Y/N come in. I want you to meet someone." He kissed your cheek and wrapped his arm around you. Instantly, you let go of the breath you had been holding. He walked you over to the couch and the man that was sitting on the table stood up and smiled at you. "This is a childhood friend of mine, Lee Taemin." Jongin introduced. You bowed, "Nice to meet you Taemin." "Nice to meet you too. I've heard a lot about you from Jongin." You chuckled as you took a seat, "It couldn't have been that much, there's not a lot to say when it comes to me." "She's too modest." Jongin laughed. He took a seat on the arm of the couch and Taemin sat back on the coffee table. You looked at Jongin and Taemin smiled at you for a moment as if trying to remember every detail of your face. "You're right Jongin, she's very pretty." Taemin said. "Thanks hyung." He chuckled. You looked between the two of them. "Will you be staying for dinner Taemin?" You asked. You stood up ready to head to the kitchen but stopped behind the couch to hear his answer. He looked at you then at Jongin, "You didn't tell her?" Jongin laughed while he scratched the side of his cheek. "I wanted it to be a surprise." "What to be a surprise?" you asked. "Taemin will be staying with us for a little while." "Oh." "Are you okay with that?" Jongin asked. There was a sort of caution in his voice like he wasn't sure if you were happy about it or not. In truth, you didn't know how to feel about it but you didn't want any conflict in front of Taemin. He seemed well mannered enough and he had known Jongin from childhood, you didn't have the heart to say you weren't okay with it. You smiled, "Sure. Welcome to our home Taemin." "Thank you. I'll try not to be a burden." You nodded and headed off to the kitchen to start cooking. You wondered if Jongin had a reason for springing this surprise visitor on you. Maybe you were acting so crazy he wanted a house guess to ease your mind. You sighed thinking to yourself that you were too paranoid, you weren't hurt during the break in so you should be counting your blessing but it was maddening to not know what was going on. It was maddening to not know who had done this and if or when they would come back to do it again. Putting on clothes after a shower didn't even feel the same anymore. No matter how clean your clothes were every item in your wardrobe some how felt tainted. You always felt like you were being watched. Jongin assured you that everything would be alright, he was worried about you when he found out about the break in but he believed in the law. He believed they'd find the guy. You only wished you had that kind of faith. Jongin came to join you in the kitchen a little while later. He wrapped his arms around you from behind and felt your body stiffen up. He lightly kissed the space between your neck and shoulder then whispered, "You've got to relax." "I'll relax when they catch who ever it was." He sighed and leaned against the counter while folding his arms. There was a smart smile he wore that made you feel like he was teasing you a little. You looked away from him to continue cooking. "They're not going to find him over night Y/N it'll take some time." "Enough time for who ever it is to get me? I feel like a mouse being hunted by cat. They don't have any leads. They've checked out everyone on both of our lists and nothing." "You have to stop calling them for updates." You slammed your hand on the counter. You took a deep breath feeling anxiety rise in you. That's what this whole ordeal had done, given you a massive case of anxiety. You had two major attacks within a week of the break in and nightmares after that. You didn't feel safe anymore, you felt eyes on you at all times. "I'm scared Jongin." You finally whispered. "I know you are." He moved closer to you and softly rubbed circles on your back. You shook your head refuting his sympathy. That's all it was: sympathy. You knew Jongin meant well and that he cared about you very much. You two were in love after all, it was a given he'd be worried about your well being but he had no idea what this hell your mind was going through. "No. I'm scared all the time. I was tougher than this but not knowing- it's driving me nuts. When's it gonna happen again, when are they coming back? Is it even safe to stay here? I have a million different questions in my head that I can't quiet because there's no answers Jongin. What am I supposed to do?" He wrapped his arms around you and ran his fingers through your hair. That helped. You weren't sure if that was something he figured out calmed you and you never realized it or if that was just a go to method for him but it helped. The anxiety was slowly dissipating. You were in your lovers arms feeling his warmth while the smell of dinner revolved around the kitchen. His fingers raked through your scalp and played with your hair. You heard him whisper, "Just breathe...for now, just breathe." You clutched onto his shirt and closed your eyes. You took his advice and took in a deep breath. You were counting in your head as your forefinger and thumb rubbed the fabric of his shirt. Tears had spilled over and ran down your cheeks, anxiety attacks sent you into tears but these were silent, they were tears you couldn't fight but they had spilled over regardless. You looked up at him and used your hands to wipe your face. "Sorry." You said He cradled your face with both his hands and pecked your lips lightly. "Never apologize for how you feel. I know it's hard but you'll get through this. You're tougher than you know." His words were sweet and his tone was softer than a stuffed animal. You smiled and he gave you another kiss, this time it was deeper and more loving, more magical. That was the best part about dating Jongin, kissing him felt like you were kissing a prince from a fairytale. You felt important and being with him brought out this childish love in you that reminded you of the first time you ever knew you were in love with him. He was perfect to you. "Now are you sure you don't mind Taemin staying here for a while?" He asked. "Well," you sounded as if you were going to retract your statement, "I guess it doesn't really matter but couldn't you have at least talked to me about it first?" "I figured with someone else in the house that you might feel safer." "But I don't know him." "I know but you two can get to know each other. It's not like he's a complete stranger, I've known him for a long time I trust him and he's a really great guy. You'll like him I swear." You giggled, Jongin looked happy to have him around. He sounded like a younger brother that hadn't seen his brother in years. "Alright alright." You said. "I also asked him to pick you up from work as well." "What? Why?" "Because I know you're having a hard time. I figured you'd feel safer if you had someone with you when taking the train besides, I'd feel safer knowing you were around someone I trust." "If that's the case why didn't you just ask Kyungsoo?" You laughed. He kissed your forehead, "Because we both know he would've said no." "True." You focused on taking care of dinner for a little while longer. Jongin peppered kisses on your cheek making you laugh while you cooked. When dinner was ready, Taemin came in to sit down and eat with you two. He talked about what he had been doing for a little while, he had recently broken up with his girlfriend and moved out of their place. He needed a new job. "So I suppose you didn't mind taking Jongin up on his request that you be my chaperone." You joked. He smiled beautifully, "I didn't mind it at all. I'll have to look for work anyway so it'll give me a reason to get out." "Well the train ride is only fifteen minutes, are you planning on staying out all day until it's time for me to come home?" You asked. "It's better than going back and forth twice everyday don't you think?" You laughed, "I suppose you're right." "What publishing company do you work for again?" "Um legends press. Do you known it?" He looked as if he were mulling the title over and over in his head. You doubted he paid attention to the publishing company names. Most people didn't, except for books that were really famous and even still most people were more absorbed in the author. Author's had immense talent and deserved the accolades they received but in reality, those names might not be as well known if there wasn't someone to pick up the book. A few times that had happened in your company where your bosses didn't want to take on the project of a young writer. The writer would have gone to several different places just to get published and some of them you or Chae were able to push through. At times, your boss would actually praise you on seeing potential where he hadn't. You thought for a moment: could your stalker be your boss? Did he harbor some resentment towards you for one upping him on occasion? You didn't have long to think through that theory. Taemin broke the thought when he said, "I think one of the books I read, The Winter and the Crane came from your company." You looked at him shocked. One of your coworkers, Park Chanyeol, pushed for that book to be published. It didn't do very well as far as sales went. He felt terrible about letting the author down. You had read that book though and saw the potential in it. There were a few things that should've been changed that would've benefited the author and it was just bad luck that Chanyeol hadn't seen it himself. The beginning's pacing was too slow and that's probably why most people didn't really want to read it. Admittedly, even you had wanted to put the book down several times in the beginning. Chanyeol said he couldn't stop reading it though and wanted your opinion on why it might not have sold well. That was only one of the reasons. He had strong motifs and symbols in his book that were powerful as long as the reader was paying attention to detail but his ending fell a little short and one of his subplots felt incomplete. For a story that was supposed to be a stand alone it just didn't work out. It baffled you that the book was even pushed through. Taemin laughed at your face, "What?" "I think she's surprised you read hyung." Jongin laughed. You stuck your tongue out at Jongin. "That's not it and you know it," you turned back to Jongin," that book didn't do well in sales. I can't believe you read it. Let alone knew that it was published by us." "Oh yeah, I really liked it. My girlfriend at the time recommended it to me. She said it was a prank because she couldn't get past the first chapter and hated it but I found it really interesting." "Why?" Taemin laughed at your tone. You were baffled, you had said so yourself that the book had potential but you were surprised that Taemin had actually liked it. "I liked how the little girl created all those murals of cranes. The way I imagined it in my head it was almost like a beacon of peace. She was fighting for something." "The story was somber though, she died in the end and the world didn't seem to get better." You refuted. "Yes but that's how life is sometimes. Bad things happen, the good guys don't always win. I especially enjoyed the many conflicts between the characters. The chaos was like real life, each character was so focused on their own lives in such a dire situation. It was a situation that, if they had put their own egos aside they could've rose from the ashes but instead their desires pulled them down in the snow. I think it made a wonderful statement." "And what's that?" "That humans are selfish creatures." "Fascinating." You stared at him with your mouth slightly agape. You heard Jongin laugh and felt him reach over to lift your chin up and shut your mouth. You chuckled at him and licked your lips, now suddenly conscious that you might have been giving them a good view of the little bits of masticated food in your mouth. "Excuse me." You said wiping your lips. "She's crazy about books hyung so be careful, once you get her started sometimes you can't get her to stop." Jongin chuckled. "I resent that. You just let me ramble on, I'd shut up if you just told me to." "I'd never tell you to shut up. I enjoy hearing you ramble." You rolled your eyes while you laughed at him. Taemin chuckled, "I could talk about books all day myself." You smiled at him. Jongin looked proud that the two of you had hit it off naturally. You all separated for the night, putting the dishes into the sink and then the two of you took a shower together. You jumped into the bed right next to him and he started tickling you until he was able to kiss you. Your giggles became soft in the night as you embraced him even more. "I told you, you'd like him." Jongin said between kissing your shoulder. "You've really got to work on your sexy talk Jongin." He laughed, "Come on admit it." "Okay, okay I like the guy, he seems very sweet. I also think it was very sweet of you to convince him to be my guard dog." "Will it help you calm down a little?" You shrugged, "I won't know until I get out there. Who knows, if he can keep a conversation with me I may not have time to think about being stalked- now that I think about, that doesn't really make me safer, does it?" Jongin covered your body with his own and sighed. You laughed trying to pull him up as he said, "You're such a hand full nalbi-ya." "But you love me." You laughed. He looked you in the eyes and smiled. His forefinger came to your bottom lip, gently touching it. He whispered, "Every inch of you." You pulled him down to your lips and kissed him deeply. His tongue lightly grazed along yours, stirring the wheels of passion between you two. You hummed at the sweet intoxication of his love and the two of you made love before going to sleep for the night. Still, no matter how sweet your life was with Jongin, the nightmares of being in the house alone, seeing it in shambles, Jongin's face cut out of the pictures, it all felt so real. The panic in you climbed in your dreams, making your heart pound. A dark figure came to snatch you in the night pulling you away from a body that looked a lot like Jongin. You woke up in a cold sweat, you let your eyes adjust in the night seeing Jongin asleep next to you. You sighed relieved that he was okay. You looked towards the bedroom door and saw it slightly cracked open but you could've sworn that it was closed before you two went to bed. Maybe Jongin got up to get something out of the kitchen and forgot to close it all the way. There was this odd feeling crawling up your spine though, you felt like someone had been watching you. Was someone other than Taemin in the house? You briefly wondered if Taemin had been watching you both. You sighed, "I really am paranoid." Taemin had just arrived, he had no reason to be watching you. Besides he couldn't have been your stalker. He didn't even know who you were. Jongin had even told you in the shower that he hadn't arrived in Seoul until three days ago. You got out of the bed and decided to go get some orange juice out of the fridge. There was a warm light on in the kitchen and you moved slowly towards it wondering who turned it on. You peered over the side of the wall trying to see if it was an intruder and instead saw Taemin with a towel wrapped around his waist and nothing more. He had a glass in his hand and he was drinking water. You were so relieved but when you stepped in the kitchen to make yourself known you said, "Are you in the habit of walking around in just a towel?" Taemin turned to see you and smiled. He looked down at himself and bowed his head. "It was so late I didn't think anyone would be up. I just needed a glass of water." He said. "Usually I'm not up this late but I needed something to drink too." You walked into the kitchen and he stepped aside as you got your drink. He seemed to be watching you which made you a little nervous because he was basically half naked and only covered by a towel. You didn't want to show that you were a little bothered by it, you didn't want him to get the wrong idea. You turned around and said, "Uh, listen Taemin, I don't want to seem like a hard ass. We don't have many rules here but I think it would be more appropriate if you wear more than just a towel when you come out of your room." "Of course. I don't want to make you feel uncomfortable." He smiled. "Thank you." You passed by him taking your glass with you. "Goodnight Y/N." He said. "Goodnight Taemin." BTS Family Business +19 Part 1
Yass lawrd!!! Fam I am back with a spicy fanfiction I have been working on. I'm still trying to balance work and my hobbies all at the same time. Life is wonderful and I can't complain. I finally feel complete. I have wonder children and four wonder husband's who are sexy ASF. We are wealthy powerful and healthy. How did I get four husbands? Let me explain. I was adopted by the Cheif of all Yong/Dragon clans. In our world within the human world we have our own laws and ways of life. A female is allowed to have multiple mates or husbands. As long as everyone is married at the same time. After the marriage you cannot add on any mates. Also once mated that male can only have children by that female. If caught cheating anyone can lose their power and status. Our clan has been in power since the dawn of time. We control many things like Kpop, fashion, media... anything we want. We also provide small loans and protection to small businesses. We also are known for our part in killing ppl if they cross us wrong. Anyways they call me Jasmine Kim. I'm married to Namjoon, Yoongi, Hoesek, and Jimin. Altogether we have eight children. Hunter, Ji-Yong, King, Namjin, Stormi, Ava, Princeton, and Taleah. We live in a huge home and we have a luxury condo for time alone. As for me I do have my own room, but unless I'm mad at my huabands all at the same time I sleep in whoever room whenever. Tonight was my night alone with Hobi at our luxury condo. I knew I had tons of stuff to do at the office and I knew the kids would never let me get out the door. I was wise and packed me some lingerie and my heels with me. After work I fixed my hair, reapplied my Fenty glassbomb, and slipped into my sexy lingerie. I threw in my black trench coat and headed deep in the woods to our condo. As I looked down at the clock I was already 20 minutes late. He was gonna be pissed and pacing all over the place. I was going over ways I would get his mind off me being late. As I unlocked the door. I quickly walked into the kitchen. Hobi was there with a pissed off expression. "Ah how can you hold a powerful position in our clan if you can't even be on time to see your husband? Over 20 minutes late babe?! I'm going have to request for you to step down." I walked slowly over to him and made him face me. Even though I had on heels he still was taller than me. I wrapped my arms around his waist. "I'm such a bad wife. You are right baby. Shame on me. Do you still want to see why I was so late?" I said with pouting lips. Hobi smirked and untied my trench coat allowing it to hit the ground. He stepped back to admire my curves in the lingerie hugging me. Hobi sucked on his teeth and lips. "Shit baby..." He ran his hands through his hair. "Can you forgive me baby? I will do anything my husband commands." I said while batting my eyes. "Yeah I know what you can do to be forgiven." Hobi said while putting me over his shoulders. He places me on the bed and we kiss deeply. His lips so soft felt so good. I could feel my core aching. Hobi plays with my nipples as he explores my mouth. Sucking on my lip ring and gliding across my tongue rings. "Gosh baby you taste so good. I know where you would taste even better." Hobi pushes me back while kissing down to my core. He runs his nose from bottom to top of my core. He licks his lips has he tugs away my panties. Hobi spanks my core then he begins kissing all over my inner thighs. I groan in pleasure. He inserts two fingers stretching me wide and slowly pushes in and out. I was already dripping. Suddenly he begins sucking on my nub while fingering me. I gasp as he picks up speed and goes deeper. I grab his head and scream. I could feel myself about to burst. Hobi laughs and stops. "Oh you think I'm gonna let you cum when you can't come on time." He stands up and he gives me that look. " You know the routine." I crawl over to the edge of the bed and unbuckle his pants. His tip was wet. I guess tasting me makes him so hot. I placed my hand at his base while playing with his tip. He moaned louder as my tongue ring slide across his head. I wrapped my lips around his tip. Making sucking noises and running my hand up and down. Hobi groans loudly and hisses. He grabs my head softly and pushes more of himself hitting the back of my throat. I gag and proceed to move my mouth up and down his length making loud slurping nosies. "Ah...baby stop...slow down... shit..." Hobi moaned while pulling out my mouth. He quickly turned me around bend me over. He slapped my left cheek. I groaned. He slapped my right cheek. "You think you call the shots?! You should know better by now." Hobi moaned. Hobi pushed his entire length in me from behind. I scream in pleasure and pain. He begins pounding me without mercy. The bed shook and our skin made a loud slapping noise. He pulled me up my by arms still pounding me. We moved as one. Then he placed me on my back. He pushed my leg behind my head. He grinned as he slapped my core with his beef stick. I pouted. "Ah you are so cute baby." He said while sliding into me. He began moving deep and slow. I groan and grab his butt. He kisses me deeply and continues. I could feel him touching my g spot. "Ah deeper baby. Make your wife come." I moan in his ear. Hobi grunts and pumps deeper. I could feel everything go blank and I hit Utopia as a screamed out his name and gushed everywhere. Hobi filled me to the brim with his warm goodness. He collapsed on top of me as we try to catch our breath. He grins and looks down at me. "I love you baby." "I love you too." I said allowing him to kiss me. ************** I was rushing down the hallway to present what I needed in our meeting. I know people think I have it easy because my adopted father is over the clan and our business. However I do work hard. I earned the title of 1st Lady of our generation. I can hear Yoongi and Hobi laughing has I walk speedy in front of them. Everyone slowly walks in...Namjoon, Jungkook, Jimin, Hobi, Jin, Tae, and Yoongi. We stand when the Cheif Ji-Yong walks in. "Good morning. Let's begin with our progress....Jasmine." TO BE CONTINUED...... Mr. Not-So Nice Guy
Wanna read from the beginning? https://www.vingle.net/collections/4664058?asrc=copylink Chapter 15 Areum's POV I kept my head down as I walked into school, Mark had already said his goodbyes in the parking lot and quickly joined Jackson and his other friends. Needless to say, I felt alone. This is the last place I had wanted to be, I would have much rather stayed at home in the comfort of my bed.  I heard whispers behind my back as I made it to my locker to put my things away. Venom spewing from the mouths of snakes, spreading rumors as if it was the plague. I kept my hood up as I walked into class, my mistake was looking up when I got there. A wave of heartbreak, jealousy, and anger washed over me as soon as my eyes landed on him. But there was something else I felt when my eyes met JB's, sadness. He looked lost, stuck with no way out. Reality came crashing back to me as I saw Nari wrap her arms around JB and plant a kiss right on his lips. Sadness? What a joke! I thought to myself. JB had chosen this, He chose to go back to his old ways and pretend I was never a dent in his life. I made my way to my desk, put my headphones in, blasted the newest Stray Kids album, and laid my head down. A tap on the shoulder from a classmate, told me the teacher had just walked in. I put my hood down and put my phone away. I was going to focus all of my attention on today's lesson, NOTHING was going to distract me. But that was easier said than done. My eyes drifted over to JB again and again. My mind wandered to memories we had shared and before I knew it, tears were streaming down my face. Never had I once thought of walking out of the classroom in the middle of a lesson, but I wasn't in the right state of mind at the moment. I grabbed my books and walked out the door, ignoring the sneers from my classmates and the angry tone in my teachers voice telling me to return to my seat. Tears blinded my vision as I walked toward the direction of the school's exit. A hand firmly gripped my wrist, stopping my escape. "Areum, are you okay?" I was surprised by the voice of the one who asked me. I turned and saw a blurry Jackson holding onto my wrist. I quickly freed myself and wiped the tears from my eyes and face. "I'm fine." I replied in a quiet tone. Jackson looked as if he had seen right through my lies and grabbed my wrist again. "Come with me," he said as he led me toward the direction of the greenhouse, "Mark would kill me if I didn't help you get some rest." He led me into the greenhouse, sat me down on the couch and gave me a blanket. "Rest." he told me as he left. Just a matter of minutes after closing my eyes, I let sleep take me. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ DefSoul1994 Taglist @QueenPandaBunny @Yugykookie97 @MelissaGarza
Kino Fanfic (Part 1 of 4)
Title: Friendship Contract Genre: Romance, Comedy Word Count (For Part One): 4,572 Parts: Part One, Part Two, Part Three, Part Four Rating: PG-13 (for mentions of alcohol, profanity, mentions of sex (however there is no smut)) Main Characters: Kang Hyunggu (Kino), Lee Jina(OC) Minor Characters: Yan An, Kim Hayoung(OC), Jung Wooseok, Adachi Yuto, Lee Jiyoon(OC), Kim Dayeon(OC) (Even smaller appearances by Yeo Changgu(Yeo One) |Because this story is so long I've divided it into FOUR parts. Part One: Jiyoon laughs. “Jina when are going to branch out?” I sigh, I didn’t need to. My older sister, Jiyoon was always nagging me about making more friends. It was so annoying. I was fine with just Hayoung as a friend. “Maybe when you stop asking.” I scoff back. I liked my simple life. “What happens whenever college comes around? You’ll be alone again? Don’t you want to know how to make friends for that reason.” She states crossing her arms over her chest. I roll my eyes. “Oh like it’s that hard to make a friend.” She snorts. “If it’s not that hard then why don’t you have more friends?” My eyes flit to her to send her a glare. “It’s not that it’s hard. I just don’t want to.” It was her turn to roll her eyes. “Want to make a bet?” I huff. “Are you serious?” She nods. “How about if you can make at least one more friend in a month I’ll not only stop bugging you about this, I’ll even buy you front row seats to see Astro.” My eyes widen. Front row seats? I bring my hand to my lip to bite on one of my fingernails. I loved Astro so much and I’ve only seen them once. Moonbin was my love. “Oh, and I’ll even buy two meet and greet passes to throw in.” She shrugs out of the corner of my eye. I swallow. There had to be a catch though, right? “And what if I lose?” I question her. Not that I was giving in or anything... She hums. “I’ll just have the self-satisfaction that I was right that you suck at making friends. That you’re too shy.” I really didn’t want to agree to this but there was a gnawing feeling in my gut. One that had me wanting to agree instantly. “Okay deal. No backing out!” I turn to face her. She laughs. “Oh my god you’re actually agreeing to this? I wasn’t expecting you to.” “Shut up, you’d best be saving up.” I huff rushing past her. - In my room I pace back and forth nervous about how I was going to pull this off. I pull out my phone and pull up Hayoung’s contact. I dial her quickly. She answers shortly after. “What’s up?” “I need help!” I say desperately. “Okay?” “I made a bet with Jiyoon that I could make another friend in a month in order to get Astro tickets.” I say quickly. “Holy shit, no way!” She laughs. “Yeah...so like what should I do?” I frown into the phone. “How am I going to make a friend in that short amount of time?” I shouldn’t have made it sound so easy! “There’s a party tonight? That’s a perfect place to meet friends, maybe you could drink some to ease your nerves too?” She suggests. A party? That wasn’t my scene. Drinking as well? Never done that before, probably wasn’t a good idea. But at this point I was up for anything in order to get those tickets. “Okay let's do it.” “Oh my god, where did the real Lee Jina go?” Hayoung states shocked. “Never mind forget I said that. I’m on my way to pick you up, get ready!” - Hayoung arrives thirty minutes later, she’s dressed in a short dress that made me do a double take. Hayoung has partied before, but I had never seen her before going. It surprised me to see her like this. She glances down at my school shirt and basketball shorts and sighs. “Good thing I brought something for you to wear.” She shoves me back down the hall. “Huh?” I groan as she shoves me into my room. “Put these on.” She stuffs two articles of clothing into my hand. I glance down at the clothing. It was a matching crop top and skirt. “But can’t I just wear this?” I gesture to my attire. She laughs. “You want to make friends, right?” I frown. “Ugh, fine.” - We pull up to the party and its apparently already in full swing because there were cars everywhere. Hayoung’s brother lets us off up front and leaves us to head to work. As he parts he lectures her to be safe. I almost jump back into the car but he speeds of leaving me in the dust. There was no going back now. I turn to face the house. It was huge. “Whose place is this?” I ask as we step up onto the sidewalk. “Adachi Yuto’s. His parents still live in Japan but they bought this house for him. Apparently, Kang Hyunggu and Jung Wooseok also live here with him.” I nod, she wraps her arm around mine and tugs me to the front door. I raise my hand to knock but she laughs pushing the door open. “You don’t knock, no one would hear you.” “Oh...” I say awkwardly as she drags me inside. - I shouldn’t have made that deal. I have been here for fifteen minutes now and I have absolutely no idea how to even begin to make a friend. Hayoung comes back from the kitchen holding three shot glasses full of alcohol. She smiles and hands me one. “What is this?” I look down. “Don’t know?” She laughs. “Drink it, it’ll take the edge off. But no more than two of those, got it!” “Okay.” I hum before slowly pulling the glass to my lips. The liquid burns as it passes down my throat but I swallow it to get it over with. “God.” I shake my head. That was kind of awful. “One more!” She cheers handing me the third shot glass, holding the two empty one’s in her hand. I quickly down the second one before handing it over to her. “Alright time to make friends! I’m going to leave you be for a bit to kind of force you to talk to other people! Okay!” She cheers. “What?” My eyes widen. “Hayoung!” Her eyes flit over my shoulder. “Oh Yuto!” She glances back at me. “I gotta go!” She rushes off leaving me alone. This sucks. I end up in the kitchen searching for some water but my eyes find more alcohol. I swallow, maybe just a little bit more won’t hurt? I don’t even feel anything yet. I move forward grabbing a bottle of clear alcohol not even bothering reading the name. I wouldn’t even know what it was if I did. I pour a half of a solo cup up and take a couple of sips of it. “Hey there.” Someone is suddenly beside me and I freeze up. I glance in their direction. It was a guy, one I don’t recognize. “Hello.” I murmur. He smiles, “I haven’t seen you around before?” Was that him asking for my name? “Ah, I don’t usually go to these things. I’m Jina.” I manage to add a smile in at the end. He leans forward and I am suddenly uncomfortable. “I’m Jaehyun, it’s nice to meet you Jina.” I nod and quickly start to back up. “Uh, you too.” I awkwardly say back. Suddenly his arm is around my waist tugging me against him. “Oh god.” My eyes widen. I could smell the alcohol on his breath, I never should’ve come tonight. “What do you say we head upstairs? Hmm Jina?” He leans forward and I once again lean my head back as far as he’d allow me to. “No I’m sorry but I’m not looking for...that.” I say trying to inch my way out of his grasp. He chuckles. “Are you playing hard to get?” “Please can you let me go?” I manage to separate myself from him but he moves to step forward again. Someone cuts in between us grabbing a cup. “Oh, I’m sorry, I just really needed a drink.” I glance up and see it was Kang Hyunggu. He was still standing in between the two of us. He was staring in Jaehyun’s direction. “Oh, hey Hyunggu!” Jaehyun’s voice slurs. “I think Jungwoo is looking for you Jaehyun.” Hyunggu says. “Oh is he?” Suddenly Jaehyun is sprinting off. Hyunggu drops his cup and glances at me. “What are you doing here?” Me? Did he know me? I mean yeah, we went to the same school and everything but like Kang Hyunggu was one of the most popular guy’s in school? “I don’t know, I just wanted to try it out for once.” I shrug, I glance down at the still half full cup of liquor in front of me. This was awkward. I pull the cup up to take it all down in one go. I get about two gulps down before he’s pulling the cup away from me. “Hey!” I reach out towards it. He pulls it towards his face and smells it. He shakes his head. “Good god, half a cup of Crown Royal? Have you even drunk before?” I swallow. “No.” He quickly downs the remainder of my cup. “No more to drink, you’re gonna regret drinking what you already have in a bit anyways.” I lean forward. “You’re not my boss.” He snorts. “I’m not, but this is my house.” I pout crossing my arms over my chest. “You’re mean.” He laughs. “She’s already gone, isn’t she?” “I’m not gone, I’m right here.” I say confused. He stifles another laugh, which kind of made me feel giddy inside. Hyunggu’s laugh was beautiful. “Want to dance? Wooseok just put the music on.” He says leaning forward. “I’ve never danced before, is it fun?” He seems surprised. “You’ve never danced?” He tugs on my hand. “There’s a first time for everything.” Out on the dance floor everything around me was a blur, I could manage to make out Hyunggu at times but I mainly just saw a blur. Once the second song ended I slowed to a stop and my legs gave out, a pair of arms catches me before I hit the ground. “This is why I told you you’re gonna regret it.” Hyunggu’s voice echoes in my ear. I look up and come face to face with him. My hand rests on his cheek, I oddly found him handsome all of the sudden. I mean of course I knew he was but I had never looked at him this close before. Hyunggu stares back momentarily before hiking me up bridle style into his arms. “Let’s get you to a bed.” - Hyunggu stumbles up the stairs and down the hall until he’s entering a room and laying me down onto a bed. He leans over me to lay my head down softly. Right at that moment the door swings open and Hayoung’s shoving Hyunggu away from me. “What the hell are you doing?” Hayoung growls glaring at Hyunggu. She yanks me up out of the bed and manages to pull me out of the room. - The next morning, I wake up in Hayoung’s bed. I groan, my head was pounding and I felt so nauseous. I slowly sit up and groan once again. I move my feet to the edge of the bed and stand up. As soon as I’m up I rush to the bathroom to throw up. “Oh god.” I mutter afterwards. My head looms over the toilet confused. What happened last night? I hear footsteps out in the room before they slowly enter the bathroom. “Yah, you fool.” Hayoung growls. My head aches from her voice. “What happened?” I question her. “What the hell did I say about not drinking more than two shots? What else did you drink?” She runs a hand through her hair. I lower my gaze to the toilet again. “I caught you in Kang Hyunggu’s bed.” My head shoots up. “What?” “Yeah you idiot. I said make friends, what did you do? You drank until you almost lost your virginity to Kang fucking Hyunggu!” She huffs. I did what? “I don’t remember that!” I sheepishly say. “Yeah you’re lucky I saw him carry you upstairs. That bitch was totally going to make a move on you, he was leaning over you whenever I burst in!” She begins pacing back and forth. I rack my brain for anything, just something from last night. “No more to drink. Want to dance?” I can faintly remember talking to him. I shiver. Oh my god I am never drinking again. “Thanks, Hayoung for coming to get me.” “Of course, what kind of best friend let’s her friend lose her virginity to Kang Hyunggu. Especially looking the way you did when he carried you upstairs.” What would’ve happened had Hayoung not came to help me? My mind flicks back to the Jaehyun guy trying to make a move on me. And then Hyunggu stepping between us. From what I can remember he didn't seem too bad? - Monday came quickly. This marks 3 days into the month I have to make a friend. I had a feeling I had made a huge mistake making this bet. Someone clears their throat behind me. I turn around confused. There stood Kang Hyunggu. My eyes widen. What was he doing here? “Can I talk to you?” He asks awkwardly. I glance around, a couple of people were staring in our direction so I felt the urge to agree. “Uh yeah, I guess.” I say sheepishly. - We end up down the hall near the library where it was less crowded. “I just wanted to clear any misunderstandings. I didn’t take you to my room to do anything, your legs gave out and it looked as if you were going to fall asleep at any second.” He pauses. “I’m not like that, if I had known you came with a friend I would’ve taken you to her instead.” He wrings his hands together and I bite my lip. I had never seen this side of him before. He always walked around looking confident. Confident and too good for me. This side seemed more human. “I just didn’t want you to feel uncomfortable, and I didn’t want you and your friend to think I’m some monster.” He says lowering his head. “It’s okay.” I stammer out. “I remember how you stepped in and saved me from Jaehyun, so I believe you.” “You do!” He says suddenly a smile cracks on his face. “Mmm.” I hum. “Okay great. I’m really not like that, and if my mom heard that she would kill me. She’s always taught me to respect women.” He laughs awkwardly. I nod. “Thanks for coming to clear the misunderstanding.” “Thank you for listening.” He nods his head. “Okay I’ll be heading to class then.” - “Are you sure he was telling the truth?” Hayoung asks. It seemed that way. She slowly nods. “I mean I guess he wasn’t like in between your legs or anything.” She thinks back. “He was just sitting to the side of you, maybe he was lying you back onto the bed?” I nod. “Maybe.” “Maybe you should still like get a no-contact contract just in case. Like you never know?” “Isn’t that going a little far?” I ask her. She shrugs. “Seems fine to me.” I shake my head. “I’m not going to make things complicated by signing a contract like that.” A contract is all business anyways. It would be annoying to deal with. Plus, they only last so long. Something clicks in my brain. A contract. I could make a friendship contract! I could fake my way into getting those Astro tickets! But who would even sign a friendship contract? My head lifts up to see Hyunggu enter the cafeteria. I lower my gaze. But then lift it back to him. Hyunggu? He would essentially be perfect, he’s popular so it would look like his friends were also mine. Would he be down to do this though? - After school I found myself standing by his locker. He comes around the corner. Yuto at his side but they both stop when they see me. Yuto sends him a look before backing up and around the corner again. Did he even know my name? Or was it just my face? “Can I talk to you?” I ask him. He nods. “Yeah sure, what do you need?” “Not here, I would like it to be more private.” I say glancing around. “Okay?” He says confused. - We ended up outside at one of the picnic tables. He sat across from me. “I have something to say to you.” I work up the courage to ask him. He clears his throat. “Um you aren’t asking me out right?” I snort. “Of course not.” He quickly breathes relieved. “Good because I’m not into dating right now.” I roll my eyes, of course he isn’t. He can mess around with anyone he wants why would he want to date? “I know this is going to sound stupid but will you make a friendship contract with me?” I say looking up at him. “Huh?” He says confused. I sigh. “Look my older sister bet that I couldn’t make a new friend in a month. I don’t plan on losing this bet, so like I need a friend. And I figured this was the best way.” Hyunggu frowns. “Or you could you know try and make a friend?” I shake my head no. “I don’t want to; this friendship contract is what I want.” “What exactly is a friendship contract?” He asks. “It’s basically a fake friendship, one that will end in a month.” I shrug. He seems taken back. “Why don’t you want to make a real friend?” I glance at him. “I just don’t want to.” He seemingly thinks things over for a bit longer. “What do I get out of this?” “I can help you with homework?” I suggest. “I just really don’t want to lose this bet Kang Hyunggu. If I do my sister will never stop bugging me about making friends.” He snorts. “I guess if it’s only for a month I could do it.” I whip my head towards him. “Really?” He nods. “Yeah, oh and I get two more things. I haven’t decided what those are yet but you have to let me do whatever it is I want once I decide!” I glare at him. “Nothing sexual!” He gasps. “You think so lowly of me, Lee.” I roll my eyes. I pull out a piece of paper with some rules on it and place it in front of Hyunggu. He reads it slowly smirking at some of the rules. 1. Hang out often. Sometimes alone, sometimes with others. 2. Go to events together. 3. No falling in love with each other. 4. To be there for each other. 5. Hang out at each other’s places. 6. Introduction to family’s as friends. 7. Jina must help Hyunggu with any homework he needs help with. 8. Contract will end after 1 month. 9. After 1 month the parties do not have to continue being friends. 10. No one should ever know this friendship was contracted/fake. “Add an 11th one about doing whatever I want once I decide what it is.” He shrugs. “Then I’ll sign.” I jot down the new rule and sign my own name on it before sliding it back to him. He shakes his head before signing the paper. “Alright, friend.” I place my hand out for him to shake. He laughs and shakes my hand. “Call me Hyunggu.” “You can call me Jina.” I smile, this wasn’t so bad. - I went home that night and walked my happy ass straight to Jiyoon’s room. I swing her door open and she whips her head towards me. “I have a friend.” I smirk towards her. I mean he was a contracted friend. But still, she’d never know. She laughs. “You expect me to believe that?” I nod. “I do! His name is Kang Hyunggu.” I firmly state. “Isn’t Kang Hyunggu the most popular boy in your class?” She snorts. “Jina you do know that just because you talk to someone doesn’t mean you’re friends?” I scoff. “I’m not an idiot.” I huff pulling my phone from my pocket. “Look I even have his number.” She rolls her eyes. “That proves nothing.” I raise my hands into the air. “What do you want me to do? Call him to prove it?” She hums. “Yeah, call him and invite him over tonight.” My heart almost stops. This soon? I wasn’t expecting to have to introduce him to my family for at least another week. I swallow pulling my phone up to click on his contact information. “Fine I will.” This little shit better answer. I pull the phone to my ear after hitting the call button. It rings twice before he’s answering. “You’re calling already? What you miss me or something?” I could tell he had a smug look on his face even though I couldn’t see him. “Oh hey Hyunggu!” I say, my voice awkwardly raising a few octaves. “You sound weird, is something wrong?” He asks, seeming a bit serious now. I laugh. “No no, well yeah. My sister wants to meet you.” “The one who made the bet with you?” He asks seemingly catching on. “Mmm.” I lock eyes with Jiyoon who seems somewhat surprised I had called him. “Right now?” Hyunggu sighs. “Yeah.” I reply sheepishly. “Send me your address, I’ll be there shortly.” He replies. “Okay awesome!” I reply hanging up. I smirk towards Jiyoon. “He’s on his way.” Her mouth slightly parts open. “I’d better go clean.” Once she’s run past me I quickly type up a message to Hyunggu. I type my address and apartment number in and that my dad and little brother would be here too. I hold my phone to my chest. I was actually super nervous. Hyunggu and I really weren’t friends how were we supposed to act? We weren’t even given the time to go over things about each other. I let out a low sigh before rushing downstairs to wait for him to arrive. Jiyoon was scrubbing the kitchen table when I got downstairs. I stare at her like she’s gone crazy. “Good god why are you cleaning so intensely?” I snort. “You have a guy coming over.” She states. “The house should be clean!” I huff. “For god’s sake it’s just my friend, who gives a shit if the place is clean or not?” She stands up straight. “I do!” The doorbell rings and she freezes. “He’s here already?” I blink confused. Was he? “I’ll go see.” I rush down the hall. I open the door and sure enough Hyunggu was behind the door. He offers me a small smile. “Did you know you live on the same street as my mom?” My mouth drops. “I do?” He nods. “Mmm, she lives in the apartment complex across the street.” He throws his thumb over his shoulder gesturing towards his mom’s place. I guess I was expecting him to come from Yuto’s? “You learn something new every day.” I quickly yank on his arm pulling him inside. “Don’t fuck this up, Kang.” He rolls his eyes. “Keep calling me Kang and you’ll be the one to fuck things up, Jina.” He winks. I send him a small glare before Jiyoon’s voice is interrupting us. “Oh, so he is here!” Jiyoon cheers. I quickly wipe my glare off my face and plant the biggest ass smile I can on my face. Turning around I throw an arm around Hyunggu. “Hey sis, this is my friend Hyunggu.” I bat my eyes up towards Hyunggu, who sends me a what the fuck was I doing look. He snorts under his breath. “Hello, I’m Kang Hyunggu. It’s nice to meet you.” He bows. “You too, I’m Jina’s older sister Jiyoon.” She rushes forward. “Come on in and have a seat!” Jiyoon rushes off to grab some drinks leaving us alone again. I immediately drop my arm from around him. “This is hell.” I murmur. Hyunggu laughs. “Let’s go before she comes back out.” We head into the living room and sit down. Jiyoon quickly returning to question the hell out of us. She happily claps once she’s situated in a seat. God this was so awkward. “So, how’d you guys meet?” She smiles wide. Hyunggu smiles softly. “At a party, but I’ve known about her for a while. I mean we are in the same grade and everything.” I glance at him, so he knows about me? What exactly? Jiyoon smiles. “What do you like about her?” “Yah, we aren’t dating. Why would you ask something like that?” I exclaim slapping a hand down on my knee. “I’m just curious to see what made him want to be friends with you?” She simply says a smile still on her face. Did she possibly still not believe me? Was she onto my fake friend business? Hyunggu hums. “I think I’m just curious about her. She’s always quiet, nice, and smart and not the party type. But I saw that she was at that one, so I was confused. She was also being hit on by this guy and looked uncomfortable. I knew that she was uncomfortable so I stepped in. That’s when I realized how completely wasted she was going to be. She drank a crap ton of Crown Royal.” I suddenly begin to cringe. “Yah, Hyunggu shut up.” I nudge him. He smirks. “I asked her to dance with me and she basically passed out. So I took her to lie down in my room.” Jiyoon’s eyes widen. Hyunggu notices. “However, her friend found us and decided to take her home instead.” Hyunggu shrugs. “So since we only got to talk for a short moment I was disappointed that I didn’t get to know her.” Jiyoon seems confused still. Hyunggu doesn’t know what else to say so I step in. “So today we hung out at school and decided we’d become friends.” I shrug. Jiyoon doesn’t seem convinced. Hyunggu quickly smiles. “What Jina means is that we hung out today and have decided to try and be friends. I for one think a great friendship will come from this.” I quickly nod. “I agree.” Jiyoon nods as the front door opens. I hear my dad come inside, my younger brother behind him. As they come down the hall and into view both of their eyes immediately go to Hyunggu. My dad smiles. “Kang Hyunggu!” He waves and Hyunggu quickly stands and bows. “Is the baseball team going to be any good this year?” Hyunggu smiles. “If everyone returns to the team in the spring I think we’re going to be great!” My dad chuckles. “That’s great, I love watching you guys play.” Jiseok, my younger brother eyes Hyunggu questioningly. Jiseok was in middle school, a seventh grader so he knew of Hyunggu. “What are you doing here?” Jiseok asks confused. Hyunggu smiles towards Jiseok. “Huh? Oh, Jina and I recently became friends and,” He gestures towards Jiyoon. “Your sister wanted to meet me.” Jiseok nods a smile breaking out on his face. “So that means you’ll be hanging out here more often?” Hyunggu glances at me, but slowly nods. “Yeah of course.” Jiseok pumps his fist into the air. “Yes!” He moves forward closer to Hyunggu. “You have no idea how suffocating it is having two sisters.” “Yah.” Both Jiyoon and I huff. Two Dangerous Ch.7
Who: Reader x Monsta Woo ( Kim Young Woo) x Christian Yu What: Smut/ SPY AU Story: Just because I'm telling you this story, doesn't mean I'm alive at the end. Chapter Seven I couldn't pull the trigger, all I could do was stare at him. He took a step closer to me and I did everything I could to force myself to stand strong. He smiled at me in his natural cocky way, "Oh come on now Roo. You wouldn't shoot me? Would you?" He asked. "That depends on how much of a threat you are to me." He stepped closer and I cocked the gun just to make sure he knew I would shoot. I wasn't sure I would though, this man had my body pumping full of adrenaline. I felt myself get excited in ways I hadn't felt in a long time. The same instinct I had when I first met him hit my body and mind like a dump truck. This man was dangerous, too dangerous but I couldn't move. A part of me didn't want to move. "How did you know I was still alive?" I asked. "I didn't, not until I heard that the White Fang's warehouses suddenly started blowing up and their main headquarters was under attack. It screamed of you. Not to mention, Code didn't properly dispose of the file the White Fang had on the new you." Fuck was he aware the guys were special agents in NIS too? I wanted to slap myself for not getting rid of the files myself, perhaps three years out of this world had made me lose my touch. "So why did you fake your death?" He asked. "Isn't it obvious? To get away from you." "Why? I thought we had a good thing going. I mourned for you Roo, I really did." "Oh yeah, I'm sure champagne showers and strip clubs galore were especially hard for you to attend with my absence." I said rolling my eyes. "First, they were sex workers," A smile cracked on my face that I didn't want to form as he stepped closer to me until the gun was pressed to his chest. It would be so easy to pull the trigger, to kill him right then and there and make a run for it but I couldn't. Why couldn't I pull this fucking trigger? "Two I never truly believed you were dead. I know you, you were my best, always anticipating, calculating-" "Except I didn't do that great of a job this time, now did I?" I said. I put the gun away as he chuckled and stepped closer to me. His hand reached out for my cheek and he came close enough to my face that all I could do was focus on his eyes. "You're just out of practice." He tapped my butt and walked past me. I turned around seeing the reflection of his back in the rest of the mirrors that were still up. "So what are you doing here anyway? Why shoot up my studio? You wanna kill me?" I asked. He chuckled, his voice was dark and his eyes were piercing. I remembered the first time I heard him play the piano, it was haunting with a faint tone of sadness. The song he wrote expressed the death of his innocent self, how he cast it into the first gate of hell to burn away. He took on the role of a demon rising so high he became the devil himself. Killing now became his nature, greed and chaos fueled his desires. Control and power had driven him mad. This was the devil I knew and ran from. The one that never wanted to let me go because I was the best at what I do. Calculating, anticipating disaster at every turn, these skills helped me survive and helped his gang take over even more control of Seoul's territory. "If I wanted to kill you, you'd already be dead. I wanted to see for myself that you were alive and I wanted to find out from you why the White Fang wanted you?" He answered. "I'm not sure but Code seems to think it has something to do with your plans for Taeil." "And why is that? " "I was around during its inception. Not to mention that's the reason I was tortured. Not that you helped with that. " "Rescuing you would've shown weakness. I couldn't afford to show it." "You left me to die Changmo! Your apprentice. I protected you with my life. I did deplorable things for you and you couldn't come up with an extraction plan? I am not expendable!" I snapped at him. It was because of my team, Rick and John, that I was able to get out. That must've been what tipped him off about the warehouses exploding. I should've thought about what would happen if I met him too soon. I figured he'd realize I was alive anyway; I was just hoping he'd find out when it was too late to try and kill me. "Why did Sungwoo believe the White Fang wanted you for my plan with Taeil?" I scoffed. Of course he'd focus everything on his mission. He wanted answers and I couldn't falter when I gave them to him. I ran my hands down my face annoyed and sighed, "I already told you, they think I know what you're up to." "You do." "What, that you'll remove Taeil? Hell, even Taeil knows that but I don't know how." He smiled at me and walked closer. "You didn't kill Dong Gab." "He wasn't there." "So you are planning to kill him?" "He's a threat to my new life all threats must be stopped." I said He smiled even bigger, "So are you planning on killing me too?" "If I was, don't you think I would've done it when I had you at gun point? I'm not coming back Changmo, you can't make me." He had this look like he begged to differ. The smirk was cocky as all hell and then he said, "Roo, I know you. You crave this life," he circled me as he spoke, "your blood comes to life when you kill. You're a thrill seeker." He stopped behind me after his second revolution and he pulled hair behind my ear. He came close to me, his breath sending a tingle down my spine. The feeling of warmth climbing up my body clashed with the frost in his voice. Each word had a blade on the end of it, sharp enough to cut but dull enough it was only a shallow cut. As he spoke, my heartbeat felt like it had slowed; the world felt like it had come to a stand still. I felt like a sleeper cell being activated, he was challenging me, like he already knew I had crossed him. He did know me, well enough to know I was calculating my escape. I was always looking for another way. "Prove your loyalty Roo," he said. His arms snaked around me pulling me into an embrace. It's the way I imagined the serpent seducing eve. "Kill for me." Those words were toxic. Beautiful. Dangerous. Y/N Jackson wanted to run, Yong Roo wanted to comply. Some deep part of me yearned to please him, to please myself through his request. I felt reawakened by his soft command. Kill for him. So simple, such a thrill and my blood did come alive with fire from hell. The devil's apprentice wanted to assume her role but there was more to this fiery desire rising inside of me. I wanted to prove something to Changmo, not my loyalty to him but that I was better than him. I had already decided how to end his reign, I had already calculated how I would bring him down. I wanted my old life after I did that but now.... Now I wanted to assume his throne. I turned around to look him in the eyes. He smiled, "I see it there. That glimmer, that need to be bad. The need to be free." He pulled me closer to him almost turned on by the possible return of his right hand girl. "Give in to that need, return to me Roo." I pulled him away from me. "I don't want to." "Do you really desire a new life? This life?" His hands stretched out to my ruined studio. "There's so much potential in you Roo don't let that go to waste." All I could think was 'I'm not.' My silence made him sigh. "You know the rules Roo. You leave me, you die." He said. A smirk grew on my face as I looked up at him, the demon in my crawling out at his challenge. "Why don't you get it over with then?" I said. "If you really want out then I'll give you an out. You're the only one I'd do this for," he closed the gap between us again," kill Taeil for me. Eliminate him and I will leave you alone." I stared him in the eyes as he waited for me to confirm whether or not I'd take the hit. I smiled and said, "How can I trust you? You're a man who seizes opportunity. How do I know when another time arises you won't call on your apprentice to handle your blood work again?" "You know me better than that Roo." "Yes. I do." He held out his hand for a handshake. I looked down at it and then back at him. I stared at him and I could see that millisecond of worry flash through his eyes. Some sort of doubt that I wouldn't agree to his plan. He had something else up his sleeve for me if I refused. I could see it. I shook his hand, "Fine. I'll take out your guy and then you forget that I'm alive." He smiled, "You have two weeks to get it done." With that, he took his leave out the back door. Changmo let me escape his grasp but I didn't trust that he didn't have a tracker on me. I had to drive to a different location and took a cab back to the house, I had to make sure no one followed me either. Dealing with Changmo was as stressful as it always was. I walked into the house, tossing my keys to the side. I had let Dong gab know plans had changed and I had a new plan. Two weeks time... that's what I had, that was generous. Christian was the only one home, he came out of the bedroom and saw me. He walked over to hug me and kissed my forehead mentioning he was glad I was okay. I told him I went to my studio. Christian seemed softer for some reason, wanting very much to touch me and I was walking away from him to get deeper into the house. I turned back to look at him. "What's going on?" He asked. "Um, where's Woo? There's some things we need to discuss." I answered. "He's picking up food, he should be back any minute." I nodded. There was silence in the room for a while. I was staring at the floor but I could feel Christian's eyes on me. His concern was imminating from his body and over to me. If it was a super power he would've knocked me over. I looked up at him and came closer, "Changmo knows I'm alive." I said. "What? How do you know?" "We had a little chat." Christian looked even more worried and walked up closer to me. He closed the distance so that he could reach out and touch my arm. "Are you okay?" "For now, yeah but I think that maybe you and Woo should-," The door opened and we both looked up to see who it was. Woo walked in carrying bags with carry out containers in them. The looks on our faces prompted him to say, "What?" He looked down at his body then back at us,"Is there something on my face?" He asked once he confirmed that his clothes were clean. I sighed softly and walked over to him grabbing the carryout bag and helping him place the food on the table. Christian walked over while Woo and I took food out of the bags. "What were you going to say Y/N?" He asked. Woo turned his head to see Christian and the serious expression on his face. His eyes then shifted to look at me. I looked between the both of them and sighed, I crossed my arms and walked over to the counter to lean against it while I said, "Changmo came to me tonight and made me an offer." "What kind of offer?" Woo asked "The kind that you don't say no to." I grumbled. I didn't have an attitude towards him but I needed them to believe the gravity of my situation: the possibility I may not survive this war. All that was left was to take down Changmo with me. I took a deep breath and continued while looking at the ground, "I think it's time we all accept the facts of this situation." "And what is that exactly?" Christian asked. "That I may not make it out of this alive." I finally looked up at them and I could see it on both of their faces. They looked worried and they looked shocked that I was even saying it. They looked like they didn't want to believe that was even a possibility. They knew I was cunning but for them to hear me say there maybe no other way out of this for me was a reality they refused to accept. I loved that about them. "We're not going to let anything happen to you Y/N." Woo said. "You don't have a choice. Changmo doesn't get his hands bloodied unless he has to and killing his competition isn't something he has to do." "Wait, what did he ask you to do exactly?" Christian asked. I pulled out the list I had, the one Sungbin had circled names for me. This was my cover and this was a form of betrayal. I was going to lie to them only so they wouldn't interfere with me executing my side of the plan. This list would also make it difficult for Dong gab but he was aware of the fact that plans had changed. "The circled ones are my targets. I have two weeks to get it done. If I do I get my life back with you two and if I don't I will die." "These are government officials, how can he expect you to do all of this?" Christian asked. "I'm just that good." "Well it doesn't matter because you're not going to do it. Right?" Woo said. I walked up until I was between them, able to cradle each cheek lovingly. "I don't have a choice." "Y/N you can't do this." Christian said. "If I don't I die and if you two stop me he'll know." "We'll protect you." Woo said "You two may think you can protect me but that list shows you just how far the mobs are in the system. I didn't tell you so you could protect me from Changmo. I told you so could protect them from me." A look of anguish washed over their faces. They wanted to talk about how they could get me out of this but I kept trying to tell them there was no way. They had to let the NIS know and they had to protect those officials. Removing Taeil fulfilled both my obligations to Dong Gab and Changmo. I still didn't believe he was just going to let me walk away from this but at least I knew how I was going to set everything up. I even had a plan to expose Changmo and every dirty politician working with Taeil and him to the public. Christian walked up to me and kissed me harshly. He kissed me like he knew this was goodbye and in a soft voice between the break of the kiss I reminded him to trust me. He captured my lips with his devouring them like he hadn't kissed me in centuries. Woo tapped on Christian's shoulder asking him if he minded, after all I was his girl too. I chuckled at their playful rivalry and kissed him again. Despite the flame that was sparked inside of me, ready to kill and be that adrenaline junky Roo, a part of me couldn't help but really think there was truth in my lie. Perhaps I really wouldn't make it out of this alive, Changmo was just as calculating as I was so the only real question was: could I take him down with me? For now, I melted into the embraces of the two men I loved more than anything else in this world. More than the adrenaline rush I got when I killed or did something illegal.... I woke up in the middle of the night and packed a small bag. I headed to Rick and John's place again, I was able to catch an uber there. John and Rick sat down and listened to me run off the plan, I told them the risks and they still pledged to stay by my side. We were going to give them hell. They were ready for war. They looked at each other for a moment and then Rick looked at me and said, "You're not planning on coming back are you?" I smiled at him. He already knew what I was planning. He already knew they would lose me again. "I need to end this, for good." I answered. Rick and John both gave me a solemn look. I knew deep down that was hurting them. I had come back from the dead three years later only to be faced with best case scenario: I lived and disappeared into my new life again or worst case scenario: Changmo was going to end my life for real this time. Dong Gab could only do so much and his men were already making moves to eliminate Changmo's lackeys in the police department. Exposing Changmo's connections would ruin them for him and an investigation would start. I could only hope my plan was unexpected enough to work but I feared Changmo had the same thought process. How was I supposed to expect the unexpected? He wouldn't kill me until I killed Taeil for him and stalling would already determine in his mind I had changed sides. The guys would know I killed Taeil, they would know I sent them in the wrong direction on purpose and they probably wouldn't forgive me. "Roo, promise me you'll try and stay alive." John said. "I promise to give them hell." I grinned. John rolled his eyes, "Good enough I guess." "Great now let's get surveillance on Moon." I said.
