Did Tiffany Get Totally Let Down by SM?
So I felt that Tiffany's comeback was really lackluster compared to the massive success that Taeyeon's had. The song was a little boring, and I felt like her talent is her singing not her dancing - I don't know what SM was thinking. These non-kpop fans compared Tiffany and Selena and they all said the same thing: After watching "I Just Wanna Dance" the last thing I wanted to do was dance. Do you guys think that Tiffany's comeback could have been better? I think having Taeyeon come back so soon after Tiffany was a little...rude?...of SM. Taeyeon was clearly super successful, but cutting off Tiffany's time to promote so that Taeyeon could come back with Why seemed really odd. You can see both of their first solo MVs here: It was also embarrassing that Tiffany's comeback got about 5 million LESS VIEWS than Jessica's which came out at the exact same time. Taeyeon also got 4 music videos (I, Rain, Why, and Starlight) whereas Tiffany got...1. And I feel like her songs were much better quality that Tiffany's. Even if she performed really well you can only do so much with a not-so-catchy song :/ Do you think SM did a bad job with Tiffany's comeback? We know they play favorites a lot, but I think this was too obvious :(
SM Reported To Release a SUPERBOYGROUP w/ EXO, NCT, SHINee members
SM Entertainment is reportedly launching a superboygroup of sorts with members of EXO, SHINee, and NCT. On August 2, industry representatives reported that SHINee’s Taemin, EXO’s Kai and Baekhyun, and NCT’s Taeyong and Mark along with Lucas and Ten, who are also part of WayV, will be debuting as a new boy group sometime within 2019. When asked for comment, SME didn’t deny it. In response to the reports, SM Entertainment commented, “An official announcement will be made on August 8.” That's definitely not a NO ;) Are we going to die? Vote Y/N in the comments lmao

"JYJ Law" Passes: No More Blacklisting Artists!!!
JYJ fans, where you at?! South Korea's National Assembly passed a new amendment (informally called the "JYJ Law"), which officially prohibits broadcasting companies from blocking specific celebrities' television appearances without clear, justifiable reasons. Ever since the three former TVXQ members (Jaejoong, Junsu, and Yoochun) left SM Entertainment in 2009 they haven't promoted their music with television performances or variety shows. WHICH IS A TRAVESTY BECAUSE WE NEED MORE LIVE JUNSU PERFORMANCES. Members of the entertainment community have openly stated that SM Entertainment pressured broadcasters into blacklisting the trio by threatening to withhold performances from their own popular groups. (source) One more step towards taking SM DOWN! They control so many things in the entertainment industry that if you piss them off, you're screwed. This takes away at least a tiny bit of their power. K, now when is TVXQ getting back together?
