14 Real-life K-drama love stories by Vivi - Part I
While K-dramas are filled with romance on the screen, it's even more satisfying when that romance translates off the screen. From the giddy new romance to the happily married veterans, let's take a look (in no particular order) at 14 real-life K-drama romances!
1. Lee Byung Hun and Lee Min Jung
When the international action star married the Boys over Flowers actress in August 2013, it was the celebrity event of the year. After the wedding, the couple moved in with Lee Byung Hun's mother. Awwww.
2. Lee Chun Hee and Jun Hye Jin
This couple met on the set of Smile, You in 2009 and married in 2011. The couple now has a baby daughter. What makes this romance even better is that Gong Yoo acted as the emcee at their wedding!
3. Yoona and Lee Seung Gi
This one is a pretty recent development. Fans of Gu Family Book's Lee Seung Gi and The Prime Minister and I's Yoona were thrilled to hear that the two had decided to become an official couple earlier this year.
4. Lee Bum Soo and Lee Yoon Jin
If Yoona wants to see an example of a strong celebrity couple, she needs look no further than her Prime Minister and I costar, Lee Bum Soo. He married his English tutor (who has also tutored Rain), and the two have a daughter together. In a wonderful show of friendship, he and Lee Byung Hun were emcees at each other's weddings.
5. Yoo In Na and Ji Hyun Woo
In what might be the most adorable celebrity dating announcement of all time, Ji Hyun Woo admitted that he had developed feelings for Yoo In Na at a fan meeting during the filming of Queen In Hyun's Man in 2012, and after filming ended, the two turned on-screen chemistry into real-life chemistry. While the couple faced breakup rumors due to Ji Hyun Woo's army service, Yoo In Na's representatives recently confirmed that the two are still going strong.
6. Eugene and Ki Tae Young
This loving K-drama pair met on the set of Creating Destiny in 2009 and tied the knot in 2011. The two are known for their sweet love gestures, like when Ki Tae Young proposed using a song he wrote himself.
