Alternately, including more simple and unprocessed foods like fresh fruits and vegetables can be another great way to clean up your diet and start feeling better.   Stay Properly Hydrated As you are working to improve your diet, it can also make a difference to work on your hydration levels as well. What some may not realize is that dehydration can have many symptoms, including lethargy, headaches, and hunger. So, even if you aren't feeling particularly thirsty, dehydration could still be impacting you negatively. When it comes to improving your hydration levels, there can be more than one way to do it. A simple way to make sure that you are getting more water is to start eating foods with a higher water content. Some fruits that are especially good for increasing hydration can include apples, kiwis, and citrus fruits. Vegetables like carrots, zucchini and cucumber are all great for hydration as well. Along with eating more water-dense foods, you may also want to begin tracking the amount of water that you drink daily. This can help you get a good idea of where you're at, and how much you need to improve. If you aren't sure how much water you should drink in a day, then it may be helpful to take your body weight, divide it in half, and then drink that many ounces of water throughout the day.  Work Out Regularly If you truly want to have lasting good health, then you need to make sure that you are working out on a regular basis. Regular exercise not only helps improve muscle tone and flexibility, but over time it can help prevent many major health issues like stroke and heart disease. Beyond that, regular exercise is also great for your mental and emotional health as well, as staying in shape can both help boost confidence, and balance out your hormones, too. The good news is that it often doesn't matter what kind of workouts you choose to do, simply staying active for at least 20 to 30 minutes a day can make a huge difference for your health. Get Plenty of Good Sleep Good sleep is another essential part of good health. That being said, many still struggle to get good sleep at night. One of the first things you should do when looking to improve sleep is make sure that you don't have any big sleep disrupting habits. Some major sleep disrupting habits can include eating too much right before bed, spending time on your phone or tablet before bed, or participating in strenuous activities right before you are getting ready to go to sleep.  The Bottom Line Most know that good health is important, but may not know how to achieve it.
