5 Unbelievable Stretches for Tight Hips
Every time you sit down, you're actively shortening the muscles in your hips, which ultimately makes them feel stiff. Luckily, some simple-but-incredibly-satisfying stretches can relieve the tension and promote flexibility. Here they are: 1. Figure Four: Lie on your back with your arms along your sides, your knees bent, and the soles of your feet on the floor near your butt. Place your right ankle over your left leg, just below the knee. With both hands, grasp your left thigh. Lift your head and shoulders off the ground, and bend your elbows to gently pull your left knee in toward your chest. (You should feel it in your right hip.) Repeat on the opposite side. 2. Standing Bow: Balance on your left foot and bend your right knee as you bring your right foot toward your butt. With your right hand, grab the inside of the right foot. Keeping your hips square to the ground, hinge forward slightly as you reach up and forward with your left hand, and lift the right foot up behind you until you feel the stretch in your right hip. Repeat on the opposite side. 3. Upward-Facing Dog: Lie facedown on a mat with the tops of your feet on the ground and your toes pointed behind you. With bent elbows, place both palms on the ground near your hips. Relax your shoulders as you extend your elbows, and open your chest toward the front of your mat. Take your gaze upward and press into the palms to lift your hips up off the ground. To increase the stretch, increase the arch in your back and press the hips forward. 4. Floor Bow: Lie facedown on a mat and bend both knees to bring your heels toward your butt. With your left hand, reach behind you to grab the outside of your left foot. With your right hand, reach behind you and grab the outside of your right foot. Arch your back as you simultaneously use your hands to lift your knees and chest up off the floor. 5. Supta Virasana With High Hips: Sit on your knees with the tops of your feet pressed against the floor, your toes pointing behind you, and your butt on your heels. Gently lean back and place your elbows on the floor about knees-width apart. Place your left palm on your left heel and your right palm on your right heel. Keeping your neck in line with your spine and your shoulders away from your ears, press your hips up toward the ceiling.
6 Workout Idea For PG Students
Because your health is your best buddy, we need to discuss about fitness tips. It's critical to take breaks between tasks, even if it's simply to do a fast set of burpees or some stretching. The issue now is that the majority of hostel students are housed in cramped quarters. For example, how do you fit fancy fitness equipment into a 10X10 bro? But, guess what? That should not be used as an excuse to neglect your fitness goals. We don't either. That is why we provide workout zones in our units at The Safehouse PG. Because the only body part you should be exercising is your thumbs while playing Call of Duty on your phone. Instead, go to the gym for half an hour and get a full-body workout. Not everyone lives in The Safehouse PGs, as we all know. And only a few will offer on-site workout areas. But there's no need to be concerned. Your hostel room will become your home gym with the help of some of these top training methods. Top Home Workout Exercise Suggestions If you live in a hostel or a small room, here are seven excellent workout tips: Yoga Jumping Use your Bed Squatting with your Chair Mountain Climbing Take the Stairs Yoga Only a yoga mat is required to do yoga. That isn't the case at all. An old bed sheet will suffice. Try some asanas and Surya namaskar while it's on the floor. Without the aid of a fancy rowing machine, yoga focuses on your core body strength. So start working out and channelling your inner Yoga Guru. Jumping Jumping burns around 20% more calories than walking. That's right. It's one of the most effective workouts for dormitory students, and it's almost as good as running. Your heart will be two times healthier if you jump in the same spot for one minute. This can be done several times during the day. Just don't wake up the people sleeping on the floor below you. Use your Bed If you're looking to step up your game from conventional push-ups, try using your bed as a gym station. Simply place your feet on the bed's edge and your palms on the ground. Push yourself up by lowering your chest to about an inch or two off the floor. Repeat until your triceps and chest muscles are burned. Squatting with your Chair Isn't your room supposed to have a chair? That's fantastic; now put it to use. By placing your hands behind your head and lowering your body into a sitting position, you may utilise it as a guide for your squats. Consider it as attempting to sit in a chair and then pulling yourself back to standing. Your muscular cramps will prove that it isn't as straightforward as it appears. Mountain Climbing Please bear with me. This practise does not necessitate the use of a real mountain. It will suffice if you have a small amount of space in your hostel room. To begin, lie down on the floor in a plank position. Bring one of your knees up to your chest slowly. As if you were ascending a steep hill, keep rotating between your knees. You'll burn a lot of calories in a short amount of time. Burpees aren't as painful as they used to be. Alternatively, you may go on a hike. Take the Stairs The most straightforward way to lose weight is to climb stairs. It's also essentially costless. To make things more challenging, you can take two steps at once (this isn't something you should do only when you're late for class). Taking the stairs is a great way to get some exercise while also toning your legs. And without having to spend a fortune on a gym membership.

8 Things a Chiropractor Can Treat
Conditions Chiropractors Usually Treat Chiropractors treat conditions that affect the structure of your body. Their goal is to alleviate pain and improve function. They do not perform surgery or prescribe drugs. They adjust your spine or other body parts to achieve the proper alignment. Chiropractic care is based upon the belief that a healthy body will lead to better healing. Here's a list of common conditions that can affect the spine. 1. Low back pain People seek chiropractic treatment for low back pain. Low back pain is often the focus of research on spinal manipulation. According to the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health, some people suffering from low back pain can benefit from seeing a chiropractor. Research suggests that people suffering from low back pain can get better relief by visiting a chiropractor than going to their family physician. 2. Neck Pain Neck manipulations are a common treatment for neck pain that chiropractors use. These are also known as adjustments. These neck adjustments, along with exercises, may be more effective than pain medication for some neck pain. If you've been suffering from neck pain for some time, but it isn't due to injury, a chiropractor may be a good option. Chiropractic care may be able to treat this type of neck pain. 3. Tension Headaches If you suffer from tension headaches, a chiropractic adjustment may be able to help. They are a common form of headache that causes pain in your neck and back. Tension headaches can be caused by stress and poor posture. The chiropractor may adjust your neck and offer stretching exercises. A chiropractor may also recommend healthy ways to reduce stress or relieve headaches. This could include proper posture and body mechanics. 4. Headaches due to migraine Research has shown that chiropractic spinal manipulations can reduce migraine frequency, pain, and decrease the need to take migraine medication. It is unclear how this happens. According to the study, chiropractic care may reduce stress levels, which could in turn decrease migraines. Certain foods may trigger migraine headaches. You can get advice from your chiropractor about nutrition and how to make changes in your diet to treat migraines. 5. Whiplash Whiplash, a neck injury that is often caused by a car accident, can be described as a neck strain. Whiplash can cause stiffness and pain in the neck. You may feel more pain if you turn your head. You might feel dizzy, nauseated or even sick to your stomach. A chiropractic adjustment might be helpful. The chiropractor might also recommend that you exercise and stretch at home and teach you how to use heat and ice to reduce swelling and muscle spasms. 6. The big joint located at the bottom of your spine is called the sacroiliac joint (SI). SI joint problems can cause low back pain in a different way. This pain may be felt in your buttock, or back of your thigh. This type of pain is treated by chiropractors using a chiropractic adjustment. A chiropractor may also help you avoid straining your SI joint. He or she may also suggest exercises to strengthen your core muscles. These are the muscles that support this joint. 7. Shoulder pain When you think of chiropractic care, your thoughts probably turn to back and neck pain. A chiropractor may be able to help you if your shoulder is stiff or painful. This is known as frozen shoulder syndrome. A person with frozen shoulder syndrome may experience less pain and more movement following chiropractic care. Your chiropractor will help you to stretch your shoulder muscles and teach you how to do more at home. 8. Knee Pain Osteoarthritis of the knee is most often caused by wear and tear to the joint. This is a common condition. This condition might be treated with chiropractic care. Sometimes, chiropractors offer back adjustments in addition to knee adjustments. This treatment is more effective than just knee exercises. After a few weeks, some people who have had chiropractic adjustments report less pain and more movement.
Face Workout: Preventing Sagging Skin
Gravity is a part of life, there is no avoiding it, and the same goes for growing older. Our skin grows old and tired as we age, but there is no reason for it to look saggy and defeated! Here are three simple daily exercises to keep your skin looking tight and fresh - no matter what gravity tries to do to you! Step 1 Sit or stand in a comfortable position and then gently tilt your head backward. With the chin tilted back, try to lift your lower lip over your top lip. Once you have it as far as you can stretch, hold the position for about five seconds. Then relax the lips but keep the chin tilted up. Practice the exercise with the lips four more times. You can do this exercise two to three times a day. Step 2 Practice sticking out your tongue (maybe try this when you're alone). Now, tilt your head backward and look at the ceiling. Stick that tongue out, pointing upward toward the ceiling as well. You will feel the stretch and pull not only at the back of the tongue, but all along the front of the neck and underneath the jaw or chin line. Hold the position for about five seconds and then relax. Repeat this exercise three or four more times as comfortable. You can repeat this exercise several times a day if you wish. Step 3 Lie down on your back on your bed or a sofa, with your head hanging down over the end, face turned upward facing the ceiling. Arms should be at your sides, your body relaxed and comfortable. Slowly and evenly, lift your head upward until it is even with the rest of your body. You should feel this exercise all around the front of the throat and you may even feel a pull at the back of your head near your neck. Hold the head in this position for a count of 10 if you can, five seconds if you feel any discomfort. Relax. Repeat the exercise several more times. You can extend the hold time to 10 or 15 seconds as you grow stronger.
