The popular hot sauce in the rooster bottle is made by Huy Fong Foods in the Los Angeles suburb of Irwindale. The city has had to balance its need for business success against complaints from some residents about spicy fumes from the plant. A lot of local residents seem to be annoyed at the smells, personally I would love to be always smelling sriracha. Then again, look at the image, maybe not. Interesting regulatory questions raised here about how much the state should step in for private enterprise monitoring.
