[News] Jun Ji Hyun and Kim Soo Hyun thank viewers for watching ‘My Love from the Star’
SBS TV Wed-Thu drama ‘My Love from the Star’ officially came to an end on February 27th, and director Jang Tae Yoo together with Jun Ji Hyun and Kim Soo Hyun have expressed their thoughts about the conclusion through the production company, HB Entertainment. Jun Ji Hyun who made her return to the small screen after a 14 years absence, resminisced by saying, “I was really worried initially, because it’s been a while since I did dramas. But I feel really blissful now, because the viewers have shown me a tremendous amount of support.” She added, “The biggest achievement for an actress, is to be able to share joy and woe with the viewers. I hope that everyone will remember the pairing of Cheon Song Yi (Jun Ji Hyun) and Do Min Joon (Kim Soo Hyun) from ‘My Love from the Star’.” Kim Soo Hyun said, “We were able to complete filming the drama comfortably, because of the great encouragement and support from viewers. Through the role of Do Min Joon, I was able to gain lots of support.” Director Jang Tae Yoo then revealed, “’My Love from the Star’ is a high quality production that combines elements of a romance comedy together with love. I want to express my thanks to writer Park Ji Eun, lead actor Kim Soo Hyun, and lead actress Jun Ji Hyun.” Finally, Director Jang also explained the message he was trying to bring across through the drama, “Do Min Joon had a line which went, “No one lives for the purpose of dying, because living in itself is the most important thing’. The things that we often neglect, are actually the most important to us. That is the message that I want to convey to viewers.” Director Jang also spoke of his desire to film a scientific fiction production, “I had long wanted to film something along the scientific fiction genre. I feel that we can give it a go through dramas. I feel that we have production companies who can produce sci-fi genre productions. If there’s an opportunity in future, I would like to give it a serious shot.”
