Mount Emei Scenic Area (Sichuan, China)
Mount Emei is the tallest of the Four Sacred Buddhist Mountains of China, and the scenic area surrounding it has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1996. The Leshan Giant Buddha, standing 71m tall, is in the Leshan Scenic Area which is part the Mount Emei Scenic Area. This location looks so stunning! The Giant Buddha, as well as the beautiful mountain scenery create an atmosphere that speaks to the rich, Buddhist history in the region. What do you think of the Leshan Giant Buddha? Huge, right?!
