Wow! These adventurists went to the Tenikwa Wildlife Awareness and Rehabilitation Centre in Plettenburg Bay, South Africa, and actually got to take a cheetah a walk~ And who said cats don't like leashes.... The process is pretty simple--get an introductory talk, get acquainted with the cheetahs, watch them get fed (eek?), then go on a walk! I've always wanted to pet a 'big cat' but I'd be so ready to let go of the leash if I needed to!!
@ameliasantos10 yeah, I guess they're just like any house cat, haha, and pay attention to all their senses ~~
@onesmile as long as it doesn't run toward me I guess!! and wow that is something new, I didn't know Cheetah had that where they react to the wind and noises!
@ameliasantos10 ...that is a really good question, haha! I just read from a few people that the guide tells you that because the cheetahs will react to their environment (i.e. wind, noises, etc.), if they start to run you should let go so that they can react without feeling trapped I guess!!
this looks scary and yet tempting! hahahaha but if you let go of the do you know which way it's going to run toward?? @onesmile
