Watch it Again: BSC Young Boys - Everton
Just sitting down, warm mug of tea in hand, time to do one thing and one thing only: watch football. Today's match: BSC Young Boys - Everton from the Europa League Round of 32. 1' - And here we go. 3' - The one thing Everton need in taking a look at this squad is pace. A good attempt from Lakaku on goal off his head but it's saved. Like, Naismith and Lakaku are good as are Kone but they have no midfield pace. Gareth Barry is a clogger at his age. 7' - Lakaku offsides but he's making good runs. Can burn BSC if their back four doesn't drop deeper. 10' - WOW! Hoarau wasn't closed down after he received a pass back from a lovely flick on. Howard was out of position as well but it's a lovely strike to the corner of the net. Young Boys 1-0 Everton 15' - Great atmosphere. Young Boys supporters are loud, loving it. Great to see. 16' - Mvogo has to deny Lakaku and Barkley and does well to do both. 21' - Everton win a free kick that's deflected off the wall for a corner here. Nothing from it. 24' - Ball from Coleman across is scrambled away. Barry puts it back into the box. Lakaku is there! He passes it by the near post. Defender didn't do well to get caught out trying to drop back, giving Lakaku the space for the header. Young Boys 1-1 Everton 28' - The HSCYB right back has some answering to do. He's tucking into the post too much and allowing the Everton wing to run free towards the byline. After some play with Ovideo and Naismith they get the cross in and Coleman is on the far post to just tuck that in. Brilliant goal although Naismith looked slightly offside. Young Boys 1-2 Everton 31' - Howard has to make two huge saves there on Hoarau. The American came through in the end. 36' - Naismith is booked for a poor challenge. 37' - The resulting free kick is flicked on goal from Hoarau but it's just wide. Youngster's playing very well for Young Boys. 39' - Everton enjoying a lot of open play on the wings. Miralles flicks on and Lakalu looks slightly offsides at the start of the cross but it comes off a defender to the back post and the Belgian has a brace now. Young Boys 1-3 Everton 43' - Everton give away a free kick after Stones fails to clear the lines and takes down Hoarau near the touch. Free kick taken and THE BALL COMES OFF THE POST. My word almost 2-3 there. Half-Time Young Boys 1-3 Everton 49' - WOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH. Sonogo fouls Barkley, then steps over him to kick at the ball which is close to Barkley's head and he actually catches his head a little, which infuriates Barkley and the two almost comes to blows. Sonogo should have seen red in all honesty. Both are booked. 52' - Coleman with a risky challenge. Should have been booked for that foul. 56' - Oviedo bumps him man off the ball to let it roll for a goal kick but he's hurt afterwards. Garbutt comes on for him. 59' - McCarthy is down and needs treatment but the ref says play on with Everton on the ball and they slot Lakaku in alone before he chips it over the keeper. TIE OVER. Young Boys 1-4 Everton 65' - Somebody explain to me what John Stones was doing on Hoarau. He basically WWE suplexs him into the ground in the box. Young Boys penalty. Hoarau to take. HE SKIES IT! Not what Young Boys needed. They're out. 69' - Failed to mention Stones was sent off for that challenge as the last man back so Everton are playing with 10 men. Barkley wins a corner as Young Boys make a change. 78' - Lakaku has an opportunity but he's deemed, and rightfully so, offsides. Honestly at this rate it's just waiting for the full-time whistle. 79' - Young Boys have made another change while Lakaku is booked for some reason? Don't know what happened there. 85' - Lakaku's denied a fourth from a brilliant save! Everton on the break catch Young Boys but what a save from the keeper. 89' - Hadergjonaj is booked and Young Boys make their last change. 90' - 3 minutes of added time to be played. Everton have this and with 4 away goals, don't need the second leg. Full Time Young Boys 1-4 Everton Easy win. Everton flying into the last 16. 4 away goals is hard to beat, and that's EXACTLY what Young Boys will need along with a clean sheet at Goodison in order to turn this around and that seems like a mountain and a half at the moment. Brilliant Lakaku.
Chocolate Cupcakes with...CHURROS!
Ingredients for 12 cupcakes or 48 mini cupcakes For the cake 115 g unsalted butter at room temperature 220 g of white sugar 3 eggs M 180 g flour 40 g unsweetened cocoa powder 1 teaspoon yeast ½ Royal 120 ml semi-skimmed milk 1 teaspoon vanilla extract For Mini Churros 1 cup water 1 cup flour Oil Sugar Small pastry bag with star nozzle. For the cream 115 g unsalted butter 425 g powdered sugar (icing sugar better) 85 g unsweetened cocoa powder 105 ml semi-skimmed milk Preheat oven to 180 degrees (160 degrees if fan). Prepare cupcake pan with 12 capsules of paper. Sift the flour with the baking powder and cocoa into a bowl and reserve. Beat butter with sugar until blended and mixture is clear. Add eggs, one at a time, beating until just incorporated. Add half the flour and beat on low speed until incorporated. Then add milk, mixed with vanilla extract and beat back. Add the other half of the flour and beat at low speed until the mixture is homogeneous. Split the mixture in capsules, not fill more than 2/3. Bake 22-25 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Let cool cupcakes in pan 5 minutes and then move on to a wire rack until completely cool. While they cool, make our mini fritters: In a saucepan, heat the water with a drop of oil and a pinch of salt. When boiling, add the flour all at once and stir quickly. This creates a kind of "glue". Removed the fire bucket and take the sticky dough with wooden spoon and get into the pastry bag. Then we heat the oil in another pan. When very hot, we begin to put our fritters (watch out for burning!). Need at least a mini churro by cupcake. ( With what we do more mass on churros and we eat to live ... they are two days! ) Begin to brown As the mini churros, we take them out and leave them on paper towels to lose the excess oil. Finally, we went through sugar. To make the buttercream we sift the icing sugar with cocoa and place in a bowl with butter and milk. Covering the bowl, beat on low speed one minute. Then we went up the speed and beat at least another 5 minutes at high speed. The buttercream will become creamy, rich chocolate.
Love It Or Hate It: Live Sporting Events?
Welcome to the Funny Community game, Love It Or Hate It! This game is really similar to Monday's 'No Good or So Good' food game - except this one deals a lot more with non-food things. Every week, I highlight a different thing that a lot of people either really love or really hate and see how our community feels overall! Last week, I asked you how you felt about SELFIE STICKS. It was an EXTREMELY tight vote, but out of the 60 who gave your opinion, 33 of you said that they're actually kind of useful! Soooo... SELFIE STICKS WIN!!!! This week, I want to know: How do you feel about attending live sports games? Spectator sports have been around since the days of Ancient Greece, but the ones we know and love today came into being in the mid 19th century! The number of Americans that attend at least one live sporting event annually is easily in the tens of millions. However, the amount of them that find said sporting event COMPLETELY BORING is still widely unknown. How do YOU feel about spectator sports? Are they tons of fun or brutally boring?
