What is Meditation?
Meditation is a process of creating a connection between a mind, body and the soul and concentration deeply on one thing to be a channel of energy to gain the energy.
In simple words we meditate to acquire cosmic energy and every living being humans, animals, trees and other species need a cosmic energy to live. And any other dead things, they don’t need any cosmic energy.
Meditation originated as a healing and spiritual practice over 5000 years ago. It’s been used worldwide for many different purposes. Many have disregarded the benefits of meditation.
Meditation is an invaluable tool of self-exploration and can drastically transform the way we experience and in essence live our life.
Definition of Vedic Meditation
Meditation, the word is derived from the Latin word meditator, it’s meaning to reflect, ponder over, or consider.
Merriam Webster’s Dictionary defines meditation as “A discourse intended to express its author’s reflection or to guide others in contemplation."
In our words, we would say meditation is a reflection of one’s self of our thoughts or actions, our feelings.
It’s a moment in which we dedicate ourselves to contemplate to gain clarity through our deep thinking process. It gives us an opportunity to evaluate our lives and to put things into perspective.
We think that we need food to live but this is not correct. Many Saints proven that they can live for years without food by just doing continues meditation. To observe cosmic energy we need to be in a very stable state.
We normally get into in stable state when we get into deep sleep. One can achieve a similar stable state in meditation and also absorb the cosmic energy during the meditation.
So meditation is nothing but absorbing the cosmic energy from the main system and get benefited from it.
Benefits of Meditation
By meditating, our emotions begin to come under control and at the same time our mind wandering slowly ends. By meditating, our mind and attention are able to focus on everything.
We are unknowingly practicing to wander our mind day and night. We have spent so much time wandering our minds that we hardly know about it. The mind does not sit anywhere peacefully for a while, the mind keeps wandering.
There is no stability in the mind. By meditating, our mind slowly starts to stabilize, it stops. Meditation is very important for every person because by meditating we get peace of mind and we start to control our own emotions, control of our anger.
By meditating, gradually our habit of worrying also starts to disappear because we get the power of the soul. We start becoming more aware, we start to wake up.
Circumstances outside the effect of meditation do not affect our mind because by meditation, our mind gradually stops.
Meditation is not related to any religion, any caste, and any institution. It is related to every human mind, every human soul. So today we know the simplest method of meditation.
How to Do Meditate?
First of all, we have to learn to sit in a posture. Now we have to close our eyes. While sitting in meditation, our spine should be straight.
We have to sit in simple posture so that our body does not suffer much. It is very important to close the eyes while sitting in meditation because our mind starts wandering outwards with eyes.
When the eyes are closed then our inter journey begins.
When we have to sit to meditate, then we have to choose a place where there is peace or choose a time when there is peace in our house, or around and that time we have to decide for our meditation.
After the stability of the posture, now we have to take long deep breaths and then slowly exhale. We have to take deep breath in our lives and then slowly leave that breath.
By meditating we get world power, our body starts getting cosmic energy.
The world power dominates our life, the body. In life, the body has more than 72 thousand strength veins. These veins are spread all over the body like tree roots and branches. In life, our body has special basis and our body is the source of our existence.
By meditating, the body gets power in our soul, through which we begin to control our body and mind, so that our mind experiences peace, experiences stagnation.
5 Minute Meditation
So slowly we take deep breaths and keep exhaling. After practicing this for 5 minutes, we need to feel the inner peace. Then for 5 minutes we have to pronounce the sound of Om.
After the sound of Om, we have to look inside ourselves, try to go inside our mind. So that we know what is going on in our mind, what are the things that are haunting us, what do we want to achieve in life.
The more we go deep within our mind, the more our mind will start to calm down, it will start to stay.
Then after 5 minutes we can open our eyes. We have to do this practice daily. Initially our mind may not start meditating, mind starts wandering and this happens with everyone.
But we have to keep doing this practice so that by doing it gradually our mind will stay. While meditating, we will experience a bliss. We will begin to experience the power within us.
We will be able to realize that now things outside our mind do not affect.
it's full of answer.
