Siberian Huskies have a double coat, the under coat is a whooly undercoat that provides insulation from cold environments and the outer coat is a protective and vibrant in color (black, red, silver, sable and white). Huskies shed their undercoat at least once a year. However, if you live in warmer climates you'll find the husky shedding all year long. It is recommended to groom your husky at least once a week throughout the year to keep their coat healthy and shiny.

Yup! If I didn't brush my husky regularly he ended up looking like the husky in the picture above. I'm pretty sure I could have made a mattress with all the hair that I brushed out of my dog. @mikyung0412 do you have any dogs?
