Keep this on hand for those nights when you're too tired to cook; the promise of this delicious payoff for so little work will motivate you to forget the takeout, and whip up some curry. :) Step One: Choose Your Curry Sauce Depending on whether you're in the mood for a savory, lightly spicy yellow Indian-style curry, or a sweet Thai-inspired mango curry, choose one of the sauces above. They're both equally simple to prepare! Step Two: Choose Your Protein Vegans, are you in the mood for quinoa? For vegetarians, perhaps some paneer cheese. Or, if you're a meat eater, lean chicken or turkey breast would go great with either sauce, and you can even try a flaky white fish with the mango curry. Adventurous vegetarians might want to try subbing in tempeh or another meat substitute! Step Three: Choose Your Vegetables Snow peas, peppers, broccoli, carrots, zucchini, green beans, potatoes, even eggplant or butternut squash – choose a mix of your favorite veggies! Classic Yellow Curry 1 onion, roughly chopped 1 tsp each ground coriander, ground cumin, and ground turmeric 2 cans of tomatoes, chopped a pinch of sugar 1 inch piece root ginger, peeled and finely chopped 2 cloves garlic, chopped 2 red chillies, deseeded and finely chopped 12-14 oz. reduced-fat coconut milk juice of ½ lime 3 tbsp chopped cilantro In food processor, blend onion, coriander, cumin, turmeric, and 6 tbsps of water to make a paste. Heat 1 tbsp of olive oil in a pan, and add paste, tomatoes, sugar, and 1 tsp of salt. Simmer, stirring often, for 5 mins. Stir in ginger, garlic, chili, and coconut milk. Bring to a simmer. Add protein. Cover and gently simmer for 5-15 mins (until protein is nearly cooked through). Add veggies. Remove lid and simmer over medium heat, about 5-10 minutes, until veggies and protein are cooked, and sauce has thickened slightly. Stir in lime juice and cilantro. Serve over rice or quinoa. Sweet Mango Curry 1 onion, finely chopped 1 red pepper, sliced 1 tsp medium curry powder 2 tbsp tomato purée 1 cup vegetable stock 1 tbsp mango chutney 12-14 oz. chopped tomatoes in tomato juice 7-8 oz. baby spinach, washed In a pan, heat 1 tbsp olive oil over medium heat and sauté onion and red pepper for 10 min or until softened. Stir in curry powder and tomato purée, and sauté for 30 secs. Add stock, chutney, and tomatoes. Simmer uncovered for 10 minutes. Add protein; simmer for 5-15 mins (until protein is nearly cooked through). Add veggies, and simmer for 5-10 minutes. Stir in spinach just before serving, and season to taste with salt and pepper. Whisk to combine. Place the shrimp in a medium size bowl and toss with 2 tablespoons of the buffalo sauce and the olive oil. Make sure you coat the shrimp all over. Set aside. OH GOD YES. Looking at these pictures... makes me feel things. In the part of my brain that I'm pretty sure is usually reserved for hot guys with abs. Yeah, I'm pretty sure my attraction to these pancakes is inappropriate. But just look at them, people. Have you ever seen anything more beautiful? Sau đó, bạn đem xương đuôi heo và sườn non đi rửa sạch bằng nước lạnh rồi cho lại vào một nồi sạch. Bước 3: Bạn cho thêm vào nồi 1 lít rưỡi nước và 1/2 muỗng cà phê muối, hầm sườn non khoảng 45 đến 60 phút để lấy nước hầm xương nấu cháo sườn nhé. Gắp xương và sườn non đã hầm ra, phần sườn non được giữ nguyên, xương đuôi heo thì xé thịt thành những sợi nhỏ, bỏ xương. Bước 4: Bạn lược nước dùng hầm xương qua rây để loại bỏ xương vụn nếu có, rồi đổ nước hầm xương từ từ vào phần bột gạo đã ngâm, khuấy đều tay cho đến khi không bị vón cục. Tiếp theo, bạn cho hỗn hợp vừa khuấy được cho vào nồi lớn, đun trên lửa vừa, dùng thìa khuấy liên tục cho đến khi sánh lại. Bước 5: Bạn cho thêm xương và sườn non vào nồi cháo sườn, nêm 1 muỗng cà phê muối và 2 muỗng cà phê hạt nêm cho vừa khẩu vị, khuấy đều là món cháo sườn hoàn tất rồi nhé. Salted Caramel Dark Chocolate Cookies
I can't tell if how much I love caramel should be cause for concern, or if everyone loves that sweet gooey goodness as much as I do. *shrug* What can I say? I know I posted a caramel-stuffed cookie recipe not so long ago, but I saw this one on Sally's Baking Addiction and simply could not resist. Dark chocolate cookies stuffed with caramel, sprinkled with large flake sea salt? Yes please. Oh, and these don't have just any old caramel on the inside. They're ROLOs. Isn't that ingenious?? What you'll need: 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, softened to room temperature 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar 1/2 cup (100g) packed dark brown sugar (or light brown sugar) 1 large egg, room temperature preferred 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour (measured correctly) 2/3 cup (58g) unsweetened cocoa powder 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/8 teaspoon salt 2 Tablespoons (30ml) milk 1 and 1/2 cups (270g) Nestlé® Toll House® Dark Chocolate Morsels 16-17 chocolate coated caramels, such as Rolos coarse sea salt 1. In a large mixing bowl, cream butter on medium speed for about 20 seconds. Add sugars and cream together until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. 2. In another medium-size mixing bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to wet ingredients until combined. Stir in milk, and fold in dark chocolate morsels. Let dough chill for 1-2 hours. 3. Preheat oven to 350°F, and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. To form cookies, take 2 tablespoons of dough, split in half, and stick a caramel in the middle. Roll into a ball, making sure caramel is sealed completely inside. Sprinkle with sea salt before baking. Repeat 16-18 times. 4. Bake for 12-13 minutes. Cookies will still appear somewhat raw, but they will continue cooking after you remove them from oven. Allow to cool on cookie sheet for 5 minutes before carefully removing to wire rack to cool completely. Bake for 12-13 minutes. Cookies will appear undone and very soft. Allow to cool on the cookie sheet for at least 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. I am making these the SECOND I have some baking time in my schedule. I can't wait. For someone who loves to eat healthy and exercise, I sure can eat a lot of chocolate and caramel... Bước 2: Cách làm kem nhãn Bạn cho sữa tươi, kem whipping cream, đường vào đánh ở tốc độ cao nhất. Tiếp theo, bạn cho phần kem đã đánh bông cùng với nhãn trộn thật đều. Sau đó, bạn cho qua thau riêng để tủ lạnh ít nhất 2 tiếng. Bạn nhớ canh cứ khoảng nửa tiếng thì lấy khuôn kem nhãn ra, lấy muỗng xới cho tơi lên để tránh hiện tượng dăm đá. Thực hiện bước này khoảng 3 – 4 lần, đợi kem nhãn đông lại là bạn có thể múc ra sử dụng nhé. Bước 3: Thành phẩm Kem nhãn vậy là đã hoàn thành rồi nè. Có thể trang trí thêm nhãn đậu phông, dừa nạo cho ngon nhé. Mình chuộng tây nên cho vài lát chanh, lá húng húng sẽ thơm hơn nè. Cách làm kem nhãn tại nhà cũng không hề khó đúng không, cuối tuần các bạn có thể làm để đãi gia đình thân yêu của mình nè.
