NCT President & Council Intro [+ CMTY Plans]
Hello everyone, it's your NCT President. Today I wanted to share with you the plans the team and I have made for this term! There are currently 8 of us on the council and I've decided to split them up into Units (as NCT does.) So we have 4 Units in total and here they are: 127 Unit: The 127 unit is lead by the NCT 127 CMTY President and my fellow NCT editor @QueenPandaBunny. Myself, @QueenyCrossGene and @Yugykookie97 are also in this unit to promote the boys! The boys in this unit they'll be posting for are Taeil, Johnny, Taeyong, Yuta, Doyoung, Jaehyun, WinWin, Jungwoo, Mark, and Haechan. Dream Unit: The Dream Unit is lead by editor @MaeLyn, myself and @Starbell808 are also in this unit to help promote the boys! The boys in this unit that they'll be posting for (until they graduate) are Renjun, Jeno, Jaemin, Haechan, Chenle, and Jisung. NCT Dream has no president so it is still an interest but I thought I'd list the link here for you to follow the interest! WayV Unit: The WayV Unit is lead by the WayV CMTY President and fellow NCT editor @kpopfan88. Myself and @MelissaGarza are also in this unit to promote the boys! The boys in this unit are Kun, Ten, WinWin, Xiaojun, Lucas, Hendery, and Yangyang. U Unit: As to not restrict any of my editors from posting for their biases if their bias isn't in the unit they are representing I made the U Unit open for every editor. So every editor can post for any member in NCT! NCT U has no president so it is still an interest but I thought I'd list the link here for you to follow the interest! - If you haven't joined the NCT CMTY yet you can do so by clicking here! - I made these units up so that all the NCT members have a chance to get posted for. I feel like this gives an equal chance to all the members to be given a chance to shine and I thought it was a perfect way for the NCT 127 and WayV CMTYs to connect with the main NCT CMTY. - Also at this time if you'd like to be added to our taglist (or removed) please do let me know!! - NCTzen Council: @Halsyeon @MaeLyn @QueenPandaBunny @QueenyCrossGene @MelissaGarza @kpopfan88 @Starbell808 @Yugykookie97 NCTzen: @SimplyAwkward @IsoldaPazo @OppasManBun @jademarie4567 @Karinamiramda81 @bapastro @PrincessUnicorn @JohnEvans @ElanorKriegel @sukkyongwanser @KenyaMendoza @ParkKyungSoon @vkookie47 @simpsonsamantha @KpopIsPleasing @rocklv @Candy02 @kpopayisyen @samcorsam @dalenalw @Tiffiedannie If you'd like to be tagged or untagged please let us know!
BTS Fire and WTF Is Tropical House?
Alright y'all, we're going to talk about a topic that affects each and every one of us: TROPICAL HOUSE. It's a subgenre of house music that is influenced by instruments such as steel drums usually used in Jamaican, Cuban, etc music. It's been getting more and more popularity these days but I was still surprised to hear it in at BTS song! It is most noticeable in Rap Mon's part at 2:15. That awesome sound in the back? That's classic Tropical House music! Here are some more examples if you dig that sound: Jeremih - Don't Tell 'Em Thanks to @Lizzeh for reminding me about this awesome example!!!! Justin Bieber - Sorry & What Do You Mean Beibs made his comeback completely backed by this music. It sounds fresh, fun, and you CAN'T STOP LISTENING TO IT. Kygo - Stay Often referenced as the king of the rebirth of TropHouse, Kygo is your go-to DJ if you want nothing but Tropical House in your ears. Skrillex and Diplo - Where Are Ü Now This was the song that really brought the sound to mainstream recently. Those "dolphin sounds" or however you choose to describe it...yup, TropHouse. Fifth Harmony - Worth It & Work It's leaking into the girl group pop scene too with Fifth Harmony using an almost 8-bit take on Trop-Pop. Still groovy. Jamie XX - Loud Places And then we have Jamie XX that combines his smooth sleepy sounds from the XX with the catchy pop of Tropical House. Needless to say, it was love at first listen. Even though it has existed for a long time (and the influences that inspired existed looooooooooong before) I'm glad to hear more of it now in mainstream music! Enjoy!
