Arby's curly fries can only be described as one of the most delicious fries of all time. Crispy, yet tender..and oh so curly~ The fun shape, the spicy kick in the seasoning - WHAT'S NOT TO LOVE ABOUT THEM?? :P Here's an easy recipe that can allow you to enjoy more Arby's curly fries (than the amount the fast food chain gives you hehe) & the added bonus? THIS RECIPE IS BAKED NOT FRIED!! This means that there are fewer calories, fat, and GUILT in this recipe compared to the real Arby's fries :D woohoo~ Ingredients: -1 3/4 teaspoons salt, divided -4 russet potatoes ,peeled -non-stick cooking spray -2 1/2 Tablespoon egg substitute -1 1/2 Tablespoon unbleached or all-purpose flour -2 teaspoons paprika -1/4 teaspoons cayenne -1/8 teaspoons garlic powder -1/8 teaspoons onion powder Directions: 1) Bring a large pot of water to a boil over high heat. Add 1 teaspoons salt to the water. 2) With a twin curl cutter, cut 7 oz of potato curls, about 2 cups. 3) Preheat the oven to 450 degrees. Lightly mist a small nonstick baking sheet with non stick spray. Set aside. 4) Transfer the potato curls to the boiling water. Cook for exactly 3 minutes - but no longer or they will break. 5) Drain in a colander & set aside for about 5 m to cool. 6) Meanwhile, in a large mixing bowl, combine the egg substitute, flour, paprika, cayenne, garlic powder, onion powder, and the remaining 3/4 t salt. With a fork, mix until well blended. 7) Add the potatoes. Toss them with your fingers until they are coated with the seasoning mixture. Transfer, allowing any excess seasoning mixture to drip off, to the reserved baking sheet. 8) Arrange the potatoes, not touching in a single layer. lightly mist with oil spray. bake for 18-24 m, turning them about halfway through, until crisp and cooked through.
