If Frozen were a K-drama

Sometimes when we see exciting new movies, we can't help but wonder how they would play out as K-dramas. With the DVD release of Frozen and the various K-pop covers of its main song, "Let It Go," it's only natural to imagine how the story might adapt to a musical drama format. With all of the talented idols-turned-actors out there, there are many choices for young leads who could sing the main songs while still carrying the emotional weight of the story. Here are our dream picks for a K-drama version of Frozen: Elsa = Sooyoung Elsa is a tricky role because not only does she need to be able to sing "Let It Go," but she also needs to have the ability to portray a wide range of emotions, from vulnerable to powerful. Girls' Generation's Sooyoung is a natural on the screen so far, and she's young enough to be convincing in a coming-of-age tale. She could pull from her experience playing a brain tumor patient in The 3rd Hospital for the more emotional moments and incorporate her feisty role from Dating Agency: Cyrano when she needs to be sassy. Anna = Jung Eun Ji Jung Eun Ji is an excellent actress, and she could easily capture Anna's eagerness and tenacity, as she proved in Answer Me 1997. Kristoff = Lee Seung Gi When I imagine a K-drama actor palling around with a reindeer, I immediately imagine Seung Gi. He has a playful side that would help prevent his character from becoming too gruff. Hans = Seo In Guk Be honest: If Seo In Guk sang a duet with you, you would probably believe in love at first sight, too. Besides, we already know that he and Jung Eun Ji have the chemistry to pull of the song "Love Is an Open Door," as evidenced by the video below: Olaf = Yoon Si Yoon In Flower Boy Next Door, Yoon Si Yoon played one of the most upbeat leads in any K-drama, ever. He would play the eager Olaf with absolute glee. "Ajumma!!!!!" Duke Weselton = Jang Won Young Jang Won Young has built an entire career around slightly sneaky side characters, so this is a natural fit. Oaken = Lee Won Jong Vampire Prosecutor's Lee Won Jong can go from lovable to intimidating in a flash, just like the friendly trading post owner. He already owns the sweater anyway!

SNSD's Expensive Outfits in "Lion Heart" MV
Source: Soompi What did you guys think of Girls’ Generation’s “Lion Heart” MV? Although it is not the best song ever, the tune was catchy enough. Take a look into the fashion! From Versace to Gucci, Dolce and Gabbana to Valentino, pretty much all the heavy-hitting designers were enlisted for this video. In the first dance scene, every member wore an outfit from Versace’s RTW Spring 2015 collection. This was a nice choice because there’s a lot of pink in that collection and the complementing designs tie in everyone visually. YoonA in Versace Greca Key Illusion Dress, on sale for $1,040. Next, Seohyun in Versace optical chain print shift dress, on sale for $697 and Tiffany in Versace contrast stripe dress, on sale for $743 Sooyoung in Versace silk cropped trousers, $775, and sleeveless crop top, $850 (sold out) Yuri in Versace Greca key miniskirt, on sale for $299, and sleeveless crop top, $850 (sold out) Sunny in Versace chain printed techno duchesse dress, on sale for $1,405 For the date scenes, some members wore dresses from the Dolce and Gabbana Fall 2015 collection. The oversized rose print, combined with classic waves and eye-catching earrings, make the perfect looks for a romantic date! Seohyun in Dolce and Gabbana rose print fitted dress, $2,945 Sooyoung in Dolce and Gabbana floral-printed silk chiffon blouse, $1,245, and printed pencil skirt, $559 Taeyeon in Dolce and Gabbana “Majolica” print dress, $1,995 YoonA in Dolce and Gabbana embroidered floral lace dress, $2,737 It wasn’t all Versace and Dolce and Gabbana, though. Some members turned to different high-end designers! Hyoyeon in Valentino “Primavera” print dress, $7,900 Sunny in Valentino crepe couture and heavy lace dress, $4,290 Sooyoung in Gucci zig-zag print lurex dress, $5,800. (You may remember that Jun Ji Hyun wore an evening gown with the same fabric to the Cannes gala earlier this year.) Tiffany in Gucci RTW Fall 2015 YoonA in Chloe wool crepe trousers, $1,167, and Chloe silk blouse, $953 Even though we didn’t feature all the outfits in the video, the looks we did cover here come out to approximately $44,000. However, it seems safe to guess that SM Entertainment did not actually have to buy any of these outfits — we all know that borrowing is the name of the game when it comes to designers and celebrities. What did you think of the looks in this video? Let me know ^^

The 10 hottest KDrama kisses
Korean dramas get a lot of flack for the whole peck-on-the-lips-with-eyes-wide-open kiss thing, and I'm right there with you. However, you should never underestimate the power of the Korean entertainment industry in creating some beautifully romantic (and hot) kisses. Here are my top 10, in no particular order. 1. The Cola Kiss (Lie To Me) Who could forget the reason why half of us girls wanted to be somewhat drenched in sugary beverages with Kang Ji Hwan right in front of us staring at us deeply with those eyes. No...just me? Okay. 2. The Game Over Kiss (Personal Taste) Lee Min Ho. LEE MIN HO. Okay I'll stop. But really how perfect is it when he's like "game over". Ugh, future husband, you've got big shoes to fill. 3. Kitchen Kiss (Answer Me 1997) Oh my Seo In Guk. When he throws his jacket to the ground and just walks towards Jung Eun Ji, my heart stopped, and then they produced this kiss that literally stole my heart. I may have screamed watching this....may have. 4. Pouring Rain Kiss (Playful Kiss) When Jung So Min is stopped mid-sentence because Kim Hyun Joong drops the umbrella and goes in for the kiss, leaving the two drenched in the pouring rain, my feels could not have been contained. Ask my college roommate, she wasn't having my spazzing at all. 5. Candy Kiss (IRIS) I mean really, this kiss changed a generation. Everyone and their mother wanted to move candy between their and their significant other's mouth that it may well be one of the most famous Kdrama kisses ever. 6. Tip Toe Kiss (Queen Inhyun's Man) Seriously one of the best kisses in drama history! I mean why wouldn't it be when the two had the hots for each other while filming? Oh Yoo In Na, you lucky girl! 7. "My Person" Kiss (Gu Family Book) I didn't know what to name this but when Lee Seung Gi says "Don't lay a hand on my person". UGH THE FEELS. I think that accurately explains that. 8. Bed Scene Kiss (Scent of a Woman) Bow Chicka Wow Wow. If the tango scene in this drama didn't set the scene for this kiss, I don't know what did. For those of you who haven't watched this drama, if you're in for a cry and some AMAZING romance, I suggest you do it...now. 9. The "I'm Not Leaving" Kiss (Coffee Prince) YOON EUN HYE. UGH you lucky girl. I mean if this kiss didn't make you want to just....ugh....there are no words. 10. Second Kiss (I Miss You) If this list taught me anything it's that Yoon Eun Hye is living the life I wish I could lead right now. Sigh. Good thing this list stops at 10 otherwise who knows how many more times she would end up on this list. What are your favorite K-drama kisses? Let us know in the comments or tweet me at @_elenitenzin. Peace, Love, & Dramas Eleni

One of the show’s hosts was curious as to whether numerous overseas fans really make special trips to South Korea just to send off their favourite stars to the army. Another host replied, “They do not just come for that, as its part of the travel package that they brought. They can see stars, and also visit the tourist attractions. Although the PR agents unit have been scrapped, there’s still the Whistle Theatre Group where talented people can put their talents to good use. The Whistle Theatre Group puts on many musicals for the police officers.
